Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Most reviewers were unhappy with their experience overall. Many people were dissatisfied with various products, reporting issues such as products not absorbing well, leaving white stains, or causing skin irritation like burning, stinging, itching, and redness. Some customers also found certain products ineffective for their specific skin concerns, like eczema or dry skin, and noted that some items had a chemical smell or a poor texture. However, some people were satisfied with the products, finding them effective for hydrating skin, clearing breakouts, or fading hyperpigmentation. A few other people also felt that certain products made their skin soft and helped with scars, with some even stating that these products were more effective than prescribed creams.

I love CeraVe's moisturizers and cleansers. I live in a desert climate, and these have saved my skin. However, their sunscreens are absolutely terrible. Thick, don't absorb well, leave white stains on... See more

Best moisturiser I have ever used for my acne prone, combination skin. The only problem is that it's not cruelty free so I no longer use it but if you don't mind that then I really reccomend

Facial Dermatitis….GONE!

I had a very nasty case of dermatitis that covered 75% of my face. My poor face was red, raw and ultra dry and scaly. Creams prescribed by my GP did nothing. I tried MooGoo and Dermaveen but nothing soothed my angry skin. Then I tried CeraVe Moisturising Cream and, I swear this is true, my unsightly and disfigured face was back to normal, smooth and hydrated, within only four days! Oh thank God! And thank you CeraVe! I am now switching to CeraVe products exclusively. Needless to say I am thrilled and I look forward to having happy and healthy skin.

You will fall in-love with soft skin

im 58 have lots of scars all over my face from skin cancer operations-prior to using CeraVe i had tried ever thing.
i was at my daughters house when i first tried it and straight away my skin felt so soft . The next day i kept touching my face because ive never felt it so soft.
I now use the cleanser and moisturiser daily.
my scars are fading as my skin regenerates and glows.

I don't get the hype

CeraVe is often recommended as the go to brand for dry - sensitive skin.

The only product I have liked is the oil based cleanser.

The eye cream which is deemed suitable for eczema prone skin actually made it worse. It is very thin and not moisturising at all.

The hydrating cream cleanser is ok if I use it now and again but it is stripping if I use it everyday and does have chemically smell. If you are based in the UK B&M have a cheaper alternative which is a much nicer formula.

I have tried various moisturisers. Not one of them improved my dry skin and when my skin was extra sensitive. It actually stung when I applied it. I had to reapply throughout the day.

There are far far better products out there.

I recommend Curel eye cream if you have dry sensitive skin. They do other products too but I haven't tried them.

K Beauty products are also very good and reasonable.

For something high end I recommend, Dr Jart, Biossance and Drunk Elephant - the Bora Barrier Repair is amazing for very dry skin. It is my winter go to.

Disgusting product

A truly terrible product that did not do anything it said it would do. The moisturiser literally made my skin dry. The consistency of it was gross and it smelt bad. I beg you to choose any other brand because they’re all better than this. Put sewer water on your face instead because I’m sure it would be a better product. Do NOT buy this.

It's amazing

Honestly, cerave products specifically their moisturizer and hydrating no foam cleaner are amazing. I used to have really red irritant skin, but after using both these products honestly it was transformational, I would definitely recommend 😁😁😍

Cera Ve is better than high end productsI've been using high end products and…

I've been using high end products and was having a lot of trouble with my eyes itching and tearing. A friend told me about CeraVe so I bought the eye cream and amazingly, my eyes feel great and normal! I went ahead and bought more facial products and they're really great! It's really silly to spend so much money on other products when these work so well and are affordable. Thank you CeraVE

I had TSW and the Anti-itch cream by CeraVe is good, also the large pump cream helped sooth skin for a while but ultimately it didn't fix my eczema/tsw. After many months of different creams, whilst CeraVe did help at times, its not the best I've used and has a huge ingredients list. The best thing I have found was another cream called Herbalm Calm.

The advertising is impressive but

The advertising is impressive but this company is arrogant to the extreme.
I found the serums in Sainsbury’s had faulty pumps and at least 9 didn’t work. I tried to get support from their customer service and they didn’t even accept the pumps are faulty. I finally got a refund from Sainsbury’s as they found my details. Keep your receipt as the pump worked initially and I didn’t think to keep receipts for food shopping until now. The CeraVe facial moisturising lotion pump only works until the last quarter is left and I had to cut the top off to not waste it as it’s expensive for the size. As others have said it can cause rashes and it doesn’t protect your skin from the sun. I don’t recommend this companies products.

Excellent customer service!

Wow! What incredible customer service, so impressed I had to review it, I was looking for a specific product but couldn’t get it anywhere in any store or anywhere online so filled out an online form to ask. (Presuming I’d either never hear back or hear back in a few weeks.) but incredibly quickly I got a response from the fabulous Charlize K, brand ambassador, who replied with a detailed, informative, professional and pleasant message. Thank you so much! I was already sold on their products but as a company also, they’re the best.

Bad experience with CeraVe

Used CeraVe Daily Moisturising Lotion for approx a year - great for the first few months- then I developed itchy/burning eczema on my neck/chest - did a long course of steroids/steroid cream/ antibiotics (Doc advised me to keep using the CeraVe.) Meds helped, but a few weeks later, the rash was back - in desperation, I stopped the CeraVe & guess what - yup, eczema cleared ( took about ten days)- I hope this review helps someone because allergic eczema is no joke

Lying Fraud company

Lying Fraud company. They charge crazy prices and it makes your skin worse!!! I’ve used their normal face soaps, I’ve used their acne face soaps, I’ve used their face creams. It’s made my clear skin turn spotty & red and It’s made spots on my face worse. It’s previously given me acne that required prescribed medicine to get rid of…They’re such liars saying it’s good for your skin, their lies absolutely disgust me.

Waste of time and money

Tried this cream for extremely dry skin but it doesn't seem to do anything if not make it worse. I don't understand why you would say it's so good when it doesn't do anything. So disappointed
