This years Remembrance Day Service,
This years Remembrance Day Service,
Well done. In previous years, non stop talking and commentating . You were unable to see or hear the bands. And the talking never stopped even during the service. This year the 2 women commentators were perfect. Very little talk and never over the music or the service. Beautiful silence. Also, the veterans interviewed were given ample time to relate their stories and memories. It was wonderful. This is what I watch for. They were just like my veterans in my family, they were a special type of person. And as always , flirty with the women. Incredibly cute. Thank you for a job well done.
As it happens needs HELP.!
Nil Köksal. As it Happens. Is she permanent? Is this the best CBC can do? She mumbles, talks in low voice, acts bored. no energy! If we are stuck listening to her, please give her some coaching.
Please bring in another host to replace Tom Power.
Please, please cancel the Tom Power radio show and bring in a host with some grit, thoughtful humour and interesting Canada/world experience. And who really cares about T Power's Canadian rock and roll friends. Dull, dull, dull. I listen to CBC before and after the show show.

I stopped listening to CBC 2 years ago
I stopped listening to CBC 2 years ago; so thankful I did! I was sad to do so, but could no longer stomach the stream in its various forms. It's not what it used to be.
Coverage of the Queen’s death
Using Adrienne Arsenault as an anchor at this time of the Queen’s death is a poor choice. She is totally inept when it comes to important occasions.
Pete Mansbridge would be a more enlightened choice, as would Ian Hanomansing.
I used to love "As It Happens"
I used to love As It Happens. Although I largely boycotted CBC I thought I'd give it one more try. I caught the last three segments. First was a man from South Africa who experienced racism in Canada, next was something of human interest (like the old days) and the third was about a man's experience with Homophobia in Toronto. The next program was about a female, Muslim, gay Afghani immigrant to Canada. I couldn't take any more social justice; I turned off the radio. CBC Radio had me for 35 years. I'm gone because they're trying to teach/indoctrinate me. I get enough of that from all media, give me content that respects my intelligence and uses my money wisely (or get defunded).
English as a second language??
I like CBC radio for the most part and it is my radio station of choice. However, I do not understand why CBC hires broadcast announcers that speak English as a second language. One fellow reporting for CBC Vancouver on the wildfires in BC was from South Asia and I literally could not understand him! When I complained of this to CBC, I received little sympathy.
I give CBC 3.5 stars
I give CBC 3.5 stars. Their news is pretty good (I like Adrian Arseneau as the sole anchor of The National). There are still some excellent shows on CBC Radio like 'Quirks And Quarks' (you gotta love Bob McDonald!), 'As It Happens' and 'The Debators' (I miss 'Wire Tap' and 'This Is That' though). I do, however, find a lot of the radio shows have gone a tad too touchy feely a la NPR-style ('Now Or Never' is the epitome of cloying 'chicken soup for the soul'...bring me a bucket!!) 'Q' has gone down the tubes with Tom Power's anodyne approach (Gomeshi's 'Q' was fantastic by contrast). Finally, I have to add, I can't abide the incessant use of the word 'conversation'for every conceivable kind of discourse. Alas, CBC has joined the herd of broadcasters that use this gimmick, presumably in an attempt to inject more gravitas into their programs. But it gets a bit much when listeners are asked to "join the conversation" about our favorite dessert or something equally inane. Still, overall, I heartily support the CBC. Otherwise, without a public broadcaster, one day Canadians may be left with nothing but Rupert Murdochesque right-wing propaganda. There, I've given some balance to, but one, of these impotent rage echo chambers...and I feel better too!
CBC. Avoid at ALL Costs and here's why...
When I first arrived Canada 10 years ago, CBC was my go-to for good all around news.
Today, it is probably the WORST place to search for truthful news. It is terribly BIASED and HOPELESSLY inaccurate. Coupled with the fact that is "bought" by the Liberal Govt (under a narcissistic Trudeau) to the tune of CAD1.2BILLION!
I WILL NEVER AGAIN read anything from a news outlet that LIES! CBC is the one to avoid at all costs.
I'm beyond disappointed in CBC news
I'm beyond disappointed in CBC news! I've kept reaching out to them for help with my story about police/doctor misconduct. I understand that the reporters are very busy however after my last email to them about the police misconduct I was shocked when I got a reply saying, if you feel you're in danger go to your local police department.....my local police department are the problem!! I've made this very clear to CBC news so, why on earth would they tell me to go to my local police department??!! Something is very wrong with this! My trust in CBC is gone! If you can't help with a story then at least notify the person so they can take their story else where!
True journalism is lost
True journalism is lost; biased reporting and avoiding real issues and concerns of Canadians. Shame on you.

The CBC has been on a downward spiral
The CBC has been on a downward spiral. Its journalistic integrity is seriously questionable. It fails to run balanced stories, it often misinterprets scientific studies and has a clear political bias in both its selection of news stories and the manner in which it treats many of these stories. Was a huge listener of CBC radio and used to be my primary news source, but hasn't been reliable since at least 2016-2017
Only reason I give one star is because…
Only reason I give one star is because that’s the lowest you can go and write a review. Everything these guys do is inaccurate and lies I’ve been following it for years and I’m done there’s nothing accurate about cbc all I want is real news and this is fake as it can be it’s a disgrace to Canada

There is NO Enthusiasm in you TV Journalists.
The ... Monotone Voices of the On Air Hosts is beyond Disappointing. Compared to CNN, CBC is a lost Cause. It is hard to invest time watching when the "Hosts" can put you to ...
Sleep.
No journalistic integrity
Misinformation and government propaganda machine. Slanted and one-sided language. Instrumental in dividing Canadians and shaming those who disagree or question the government and government mandates. CBC plays the race card on nearly every issue as it resonates with the current social environment, mindset and government sponsored doctrine. No journalistic integrity and they should be totally ashamed. I used to listen to CBC radio all the time but now the programming is useless and shameful. No wonder there have been responsible journalists who have resigned. I have zero respect for CBC as being a trusted news source.
Propaganda machine
Sickening propaganda machine that no longer shares accurate information. Putting the nails in your own coffin with inaccuracies due to greed is ultimately the decision you will all have to live with.
