CBC's coverage of Nascar sucks, when they are contracted to show it.

CBC is one of 2 outfits that have the contracts to show Nascar Racing in Canada but they don't show it. I sometimes and get it on GEM but that sucks watching becuase its on a laptop screen not my 55" TV. I refuse to pay to watch nascar on a 15'' screen when CBC can but wont show Nascar racing on TV even though they have the contract to show it. And besides CBC Gem doesnt know how to show anything correctly on it. as I witnessed during the olympics their coverage sucked.

Liberal Echo Chamber

The Canadian Broadcasting Corporation is a textbook example of what happens when a media outlet is insulated from consequences. With guaranteed taxpayer funding, there is little incentive to earn trust, broaden perspective, or challenge its own editorial biases. The result is a broadcaster that often feels less like independent journalism and more like a polished echo chamber.

Political coverage is especially frustrating. Stories routinely feel framed to support a narrow ideological worldview, with dissenting perspectives minimized, caricatured, or excluded altogether. Complex national debates are flattened into predictable narratives, and viewers who fall outside that narrative are left feeling ignored or subtly disparaged.

What makes this worse is that Canadians are compelled to fund it. Unlike private media outlets that must compete for credibility and audience loyalty, CBC operates with a financial safety net. That lack of market accountability shows. The tone can feel smug, self-assured, and dismissive of large segments of the country kind of like a communist country.

Regional representation often feels superficial, and rural or politically diverse communities rarely see themselves reflected fairly. For a national broadcaster, that failure is glaring.

Public broadcasting should elevate discourse, challenge power equally, and reflect the full spectrum of the country. Instead, CBC increasingly feels like a closed circuit reinforcing its own assumptions while congratulating itself for doing so.

For many Canadians, trust isn’t just declining, it’s gone.

Imagine.

Imagine.. if you will.. a publicly funded "news" organization that doesn't allow comments on their social media (twitter/x, youtube, etc.) and their website. Zero room for public discourse or the sharing of ideas contrary to their narrative - they are afraid of the TRUTH! Basically a propaganda arm (psyop) of the liberal government. Defund this mess. Time to fund actual investigative journalism!

Liberal media funded by the liberal…

Liberal media funded by the liberal government. If it wasn't paid for by the government it would have went bankrupt a longtime ago because all their reporting is liberal propaganda and is the most biased media outlet in Canada

Complete garbage reporting

Complete garbage reporting. A mouthpiece for the liberal government and agitators at home and abroad. Makes me so angry that my tax dollars pay for this pathetic excuse for a media outlet. Better suited to a police state than to Canada - at least the Canada I used to know, where truth and logic had a place.

CIBC harassed my Mom for over a year…

CIBC harassed my Mom for over a year and a half over fraudulent charges! Numerous, threatening calls EVERY DAY because they did not do a proper investigation. Only after a 3rd party got involved was it proven to be fraud and they still continued to harass her if she didn't sign a non-disclosure agreement.
How does this bank even stay in business?!
She didn't even activate or pick up the VISA that they claim she owed $10,000 for. It has negatively affecting her health from all the stress and no one deserves this kind of hassle. WORST BANK EVER!

So tired of all the Saturday rookies

So tired of all the Saturday rookies, especially the Saturday morning female presenter. She is just awful.
There is a disingenuous aura about her that she fails to come across legitimately worthy of the chair. Ms Dimaine is just the wrong choice while others are far more sincere. Put her to do the research and replace her with
The male alternative. She comes across as moody and derisive with a dark racial shadow she tries to hide but its ingrained in her nature and in her demeanour.
I respect the network for trying very hard with her, but she’s just not it.
Every time she’s on the shift, I just changed the channel and stupes, wondering if I should cancel my Rogers account because of the frustration.

Sensationalist news company

Sensationalist news company and propaganda machine for the state. A large majority of their articles are sensationalist articles meant for quick views and to stir the pot. Often factually misleading, and usually a poor representation of the truth.
