When we first started our journey to purchase our fabulous mobile home in Portugal I was extremely apprehensive but William and Sue have been absolutely wonderful. They have helped us with every aspect of our purchase and have been very patient with all my many questions and queries. They have made our journey hassle free and so easy. William not only showed us around the mobile park in Portugal but also the local area. This has been one of the best decisions we have ever made.

We have just had an extremely hassle free pleasant experience with purchasing our caravan in Marbella through Caravans in the sun. We really wanted to buy a holiday home abroad and it seemed so daunting and scary but caravans in the sun made this whole experience a delight and easy!!. I first called caravans in the sun and from the very first phone call i was never made to feel pressured into buying with them and no matter what i wanted and no matter how many times i changed my mind on different things they James always helped me. Caravans in the sun did everything they could to assist me and my budget. James in the office was a great help he really understood what we needed as a family and helped guide us through the process i never once felt i was just another sale I actually felt like they cared and understood what we were trying to achieve with our holiday home Then there's Eric who works for caravans in the sun, Eric picked us up from malaga airport, he showed us around, He answered all of our millions of questions and when we took some time to venture out on our own he would call us and just check we was ok. Eric then returned us to the airport when we was ready to return. Not once did either Eric or James try on a sales pitch they were simply honest and helpful and are continuing to be even after the sale has been done, I would highly recommend this company to anyone who is looking to buy or transfer their caravans abroad, We are so happy and excited and our dreams have come true with the help of this company, The pictures are exactly as what they advertise and the sites are exactly what they say too!! Thank you caravans in the sun we are all so very happy!!!!

From the moment we made contact with Will when decided to purchase our beautiful mobile home in France, we felt we'd made a new friend. Our visit to choose the mobile home and then have it transported down to the Dordogne was taken care of by Will and his team who were very professional, helpful and friendly.

The after sales service was outstanding - nothing major just a few "teething problems", which were dealt with smoothly and efficiently. Just so you fully understand, having a 40ft x 14ft mobile home transported from the UK to the Dordogne is in our view, no mean feat. Caravans in the Sun take care of all this ensuring at all times the service offered is the very best it can be.

I would suggest that if you are considering purchasing a mobile home; and want all the stress taken away from you - contact this company, let them take care of it all for you - and simply move in!

After contacting Eric from caravans in the sun we had arranged to view a show home that was on a park ,it was perfect for all our needs ,we arranged a second viewing where we decided to buy the show home, The service from both Eric and Melanie in the office was superb , they have arranged everything for us from the connection to the decking and fencing.The guys that built the decking were fantastic and have done a brilliant job .Any questions we have had have been answered in minutes, we cant thank them enough for the fast professional service they provided us with.

I made a viewing trip to the Vendee in January with William from Caravans in the sun which was a well organised and enjoyable day. I was shown an un-sited mobile home that had been selected to my requirements and then visited the mobile home park were I was able to have a free choice of a number of pitches for the home to be sited. I was very happy with the arrangement and made the first payment to the agreed payment schedule which included the transportation and siting of the home.
Unfortunately there was an unforeseen event that involved the transportation company who went into liquidation with my mobile home unable to be moved. I took a call from William with the bad news but he was able to offer me an alternative home already sited and to a higher specification for the same price.
We made our first visit to the park at Easter and stayed in the alternative mobile home which totally exceeded our expectations.
So, the Journey to get my holiday home had an unforeseen problem but the outcome was totally worth it. Many thanks to William and the Caravans in the sun team from a very happy customer.

When we decided to purchase a mobile home in France, we were entering into unknown territory and, obviously we were a bit nervous and wary. From our very first telephone contact with Caravansinthesun through to completion of the sale and taking up residence, we had a first rate experience, with our confidence in the company building every day. Telephone conversations and emails in the very beginning with Melanie in the office quickly highlighted to us that we were dealing with very friendly people who knew what they were talking about regarding our proposed venture. We arranged a site visit and this was arranged to suit US, with William meeting us on the site in le Touquet - Montreuil and spending the entire day with us, answering the numerous questions we posed in a very professional manner. We decided to go ahead with the purchase of a pre-owned mobile home and from then on, our experience has been second to none. We simply had to pick up the phone if we had any questions on the progress of the sale and they were dealt with quickly and efficiently. We dealt with the site owner, again via Caravansinthesun, regarding everything we wanted on our plot. (Decking, driveway, fencing etc) On arriving onsite a few weeks later, we were absolutely delighted with everything! All was exactly as we had asked. During our first few days we had one or two little teething problems but, once again, a quick phone call to Caravansinthesun and they were dealt with quickly. Another member of the team, Andrew, arrived onsite shortly after we took up residence to speak with us and ensure that everything was going well and that we were happy. I believe that the service they provide is exemplary and should be adopted by other companies. The friendliness of the team is exceptionally welcome but obviously it's building up the confidence of your customers that is imperative and Caravansinthesun certainly managed to do this. From a very wary start when we were simple novices and wondering if we were doing the right thing, right through to moving into our lovely residence in Montreuil, our experience couldn't possibly have been better or more hassle-free. It just goes to show where a simple, tentative phone enquiry can lead. First class service was provided from Caravansinthesun throughout the entire process and we are absolutely delighted with the way things were dealt and the way everything has turned out. We can recommend this company with total confidence. They are a great team! We now have our own little 'Place in the Sun', achieved smoothly and efficiently. Thank you, Caravansinthesun and everyone involved in helping us achieve our dream holiday home!

FROM THE FIRST CONTACT ENQUIRING ABOUT THE SELLING OF OUR MOBILE HOME TO THE COMPLETION OF THE SALE THE SERVICE AND ATTENTION TO DETAIL WERE FIRST RATE.
THE SELLING FEES, ALONG WITH THE FRENCH TAX AND THE COMMISSION TO THE PRARIES DU LAC SITE WERE EXPLAINED IN FULL AT THE VERY BEGINNING SO I WAS IN NO DOUBT WHAT MY RETURN WOULD BE.
JAMES AND MEL WHO MAN THE OFFICE WERE A DELIGHT TO DEAL WITH AND WILLIAM PRESENTED OUR MOBILE HOME TO BEST EFFECT TO ENSURE A SALE.
WE HAD ALMOST DAILY UPDATES ON THE PROGRESS WHICH KEPT US UP TO DATE WITH EVERYTHING.
ON COMPLETION THE MONEY WAS CREDITED TO MY BANK ACCOUNT VERY SWIFTLY.
IF IN THE FUTURE I DECIDE TO BUY A MOBILE HOME ABROAD AGAIN THEN CARAVANS IN THE SUN WOULD BE THE FIRST PEOPLE I WOULD CONTACT AS I TRUST THEM100% TO FIND THE IDEAL PROPERTY OR SITE.
I WOULD RECOMMEND CARAVANS IN THE SUN TO ANYONE CONSIDERING BUYING A CARAVAN ABROAD.

Our choice mobile home was shipped out to Spain to a park as suggested by William Kay of Caravans in the Sun. Due to circumstances, we were unable to do a site visit before our purchase but felt very confident in the help and advice given by William and Eric of Caravans in the Sun. We are very happy with everything about the site, being fairly close to the coast, within easy reach of the mountainous countryside and most importantly it has excellent modern facilities.
Your investment could not be in better hands. Caravans in the Sun, and Eric Heredia, who is based here in Spain are very helpful and professional, eliminating all your worries and problems, leaving you to just sit back and soak up the sun.

I recently sold a static caravan through caravans in the sun.They moved the van from the site it was on in spain to one of their sites on the costa del sol.I have nothing but praise for the professional way they conducted themselves dealing with a very difficult park owner especially there rep. Eric Heredia who was extremely patient,also the prompt payment when the transaction was completed and I would recommend them to anyone considering buying a home from them.

I WANTED TO MOVE ABROAD, TO SPAIN. LAST NOVEMBER IN GOT IN TOUCH WITH CARAVANS IN THE SUN. FROM THE FIRST TIME I SPOKE WITH THEM THEY WERE VERY HELPFUL. I CAME OVER TO SPAIN IN JANUARY TO VIEW ONE CARAVAN WHICH WAS FOR SALE. IT WASN'T QUITE WHAT I WANTED SO I PURCHASED A CARAVAN WHICH WAS BASED IN THE UK, CARAVANS IN THE SUN SHIPPED IT OVER TO THE PLOT WHICH I WANTED AT NO EXTRA COST. AFTER A FEW TEETHING PROBLEMS ALL WERE SORTED AND I AM VERY HAPPY HERE LIVING IN THE SUN.
I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND CARAVAN IN THE SUN FOR HELPFULNESS, COURTESY AND NOTHING IS TOO MUCH TROUBLE TO HELP YOU IF YOU HAVE ANY PROBLEMS.
MAKE THE MOVE WITH CARAVANS IN THE SUN!!!!!

I needed to sell my lovely mobile last year. I was told that I could not advertise it myself, but HAD to go through Caravans in the Sun. I duly did so, and gave them a price I would be happy to receive (approx £10,000) which was a good price for the mobile. I was told that caravans in the sun's commission would be £1,950, which I was happy with.
Imagine my surprise when I saw their advert, selling it for £17,000!!! No way was it worth that, and when I asked, was told the rest was the site's commission - WHY should THEY get ANYTHING, let alone £5000!!!
Well, the long & the short of it is, I had to reduce my price (otherwise it wouldn't sell) to £6000 (then it was advertised at £11,000) and it sold fairly quickly. Totally disappointed with this campsite policy - not sure it is even LEGAL, but the French owners (who live in USA) have us Brits over a barrel as most of us don't speak enough French to challenge them. Nothing against C in the Sun (although they were very 'shady' when I asked questions re. commisssion, etc)
But NO confidence in the workings of [External reference removed]

Excellent Friendly and Honest Service. It was nice to deal with UK staff who obviously had a good knowledge of the sites.

We were very happy with the service provided when selling our mobile home. Hassle free, friendly on the telephone and in person. All staff on site very helpful. Lovely people. Pricewise too, we got what we wanted.

we bought a caravan from caravans in the sun and we had excellent service from the representative in spain. the purchase was straight forward, hassle free. we moved into our caravan within 2 weeks, and in my mind i think that it is good service. if we ever decide to sell and re purchase we shall not hesitate to contact them again.

I read with interest the negative experiences of customers regarding this company and was compelled to describe my experience.From the first time we met with Caravans in the Sun and their representatives here in Zante,we were treated with respect and courtesy.Every point in the contract was fully explained to us and we were given tremendous support and information throughout the whole process.Any problems we have are dealt with immediately and efficiently and I would thoroughly recommend them to anybody.

I am confused and would hope that trustpilot ask "Mr Powell & Satisfied Customer" proof that they are as genuine as they say and not representatives of Caravans In The Sun. The service they say is the service you would expect but not the service given. I accept the comments that it may be the site who determine the rates of commission but if so why not publish them?
There are many unhappy customers who would not have been a customer if they had a choice of who to sell through!
We as with many others were forced to sell through this company at over 30%!!!! (yes I can prove it)

Selling our mobile home on Prairie du Lac through Caravans in the Sun was a stress free experience. After owning a mobile home there for several years we felt that the Prairie du Lac site was no longer providing the facilities that it used to and we no longer chose to justify the increased costs involved in staying there.

We contacted Caravans in the Sun and we were asked to complete the necessary paperwork to clarify which items would be included in the sale and when the mobile home would be available. We were asked the price we wished to receive and we quoted a figure which allowed for realistic depreciation.

Caravans in the Sun then advertised our mobile home on several websites at an enhanced price to cover all selling costs, arranged accompanied viewings and contacted us when they had a buyer - who duly took over ownership of the mobile home on the date agreed.

The whole process was speedy and efficient and we received full payment of the sum we had quoted - plus a refund of the ground rent we had paid in advence.

"We sold our home through Mobile Homes Abroad, some 5 months ago; due to my husband's redundancy, and our experience with them and the Park itself was nothing but positive. We enjoyed many happy years of holidaying, and we take away many fond memories. I am saddened to read some quite hurtful messages that certain people are posting on this message board. Although, I am curious how many of these people actually have real, first hand valid grievances’? Because all I read is misinformed, angry people ranting, alongside what seems like friends of friends commenting on other peoples experiences. The hate campaign that is being orchestrated by a small minority; seems to be the renowned clique on the park, that of whom everyone is aware of. No matter what happens; these people will never be happy.
Now for the crunch! When I was last in France, information was disclosed to me from very good source that the problem lays not with Mobile Homes Abroad, but with the Park itself. This information was attained through careful scrutiny of the commissions’ structure, and it reveals that the Park itself hides its commissions deep within Mobile Homes Abroad’s sales figures; thus giving the impression that Mobile Homes Abroad is making ludicrous profits. May I urge fellow Francophiles not to be hasty in their actions, and to request further information to clarify the situation.

Before entering into any Sale or Purchase of a Mobile Home from Caravans in the Sun, one should check out the prices being advertised on their website and if possible speak to the person who is actually selling his or hers Mobile Home thru Caravans in the Sun who are in affect acting only as an agent and will not have parted with any of their own money until a Sale / Purchase price has been agreed to with the next to be owners of the Mobile Home. By directly talking to the present owners (that is if you are able to), you will can then find out exactly what they originally paid for the Mobile Home they are selling and from that you will be able to ascertain whether or not you are getting a good deal, which unfortunately in most cases it will not be in your favour but that of Caravans in the Sun. So beware and do your research before hand otherwise both you and the current owner of the Mobile Home will lose out with only Caravans in the Sun making a substantial profit out of the transaction.
