Just bought a Canon PIXMA TR4755i Wireless Inkjet Printer from Argos. Followed the setup instructions to the letter, via their app. Loaded paper into the printer, which did nothing but jam the paper w... See more

I love the printer but am very angry…
I love the printer but am very angry with the copany. It took me over an hour to set up due to the REQUIREMENT of setting up an account. I DO NOT WANT AN ACCOUNT WITH HP, I JUST WANT A PRINTER!
Never again
Never again. No support. Printer has never worked properly. So I have just dumped a £400 G650 tank printer a few months old. Should have sent it back immeadiately. Bought Epson, great.
canon 3350 scanner does not work
I bought a canon 3350 and whilst it sacns a document saving the file does not work.
Do not buy print plan - money for old rope
I bought a canon printer for my shop and the print plan. This is money for old rope. They take your subscription money each month, then charge you for going over your print allowance then if you cancel, you're left with half-full ink cartridges that won't work as they've disabled them. Customer services don't want to know and don't understand why this might be frustrating from a customer point of view. Show no empathy whatsoever - just take your money.
I will never ever buy a canon printer…
I will never ever buy a canon printer again
I don't like them monitoring all my print jobs, trying to do a force sale and the way the old ink covers my fingers when changing inks
Awful
Canon GX4050 Nice little printer when it works
Having recently retired I bought a Canon Maxify printer in March 2023. My early impressions were that this was a good printer with decent sized ink reservoirs. But after 9 months of very little use it stopped working "Code 1300 paper jam". There was no paper jam so I had to return the printer to Canon. Their process to do this is via their website which is problematic due to poor website design but eventually it was repaired and returned to me. Nine months to the day I had the same issue and had to return the printer to Canon. Same problem arranging the return on their website but after dozens of phone calls and emails the printer was back with Canon. This time on its return it immediately had the same fault. To-date, I have not even used 1/2 a reservoir of ink since new. I contacted Canon again and was told by their customer Service representative that he would escalate this and I should receive a call later that day or by midday the day after. Not receiving a call I phoned Canon again and was informed that it had not be escalated but it would be and I should receive a call within two days! It’s day 4 and I’m still waiting for the elusive phone call. It would seem the quality of Canon's customer service is as poor as their printers. It’s the first Canon product I have bought and it will probably be the last.
Worst possible delivery
Products are OK (photo paper), but why has Canon store chosen UPS as logistics partner (at least in Finland)? The delivery should take 3 to 5 days, but the reality is 11 days. I don't know, if the parcel had arrived even now if I hadn't contacted UPS myself.
In the webshop you don't see that the delivery is done by UPS before you have paid. So, no warning signal beforehand.

PRAISE FOR CANON CUSTOMER ASSISTANCE. WARNING OF SCAM.W
I'm sad to see so many negative reviews about Canon printers.
I purchased a TS7450i printer.
My criticism is that the instructions that came with the machine were only very basic.
I followed these, but no way could I get my laptop to work the printer.
So I contacted Canon on their helpline.
My call was addressed well within tolerable time.
After a while, the service agent was still unable to connect my laptop to my new Canon printer.
I was told that the problem would be escalated to a more senior agent.
Sure enough, a guy called Robert from Canon contacted me.
Robert, based in Elstree near London was absolutely brilliant.
Over the phone, Robert patiently and in easy language successfully guided me through how to connect my Canon TS 7450 I printer to my laptop.
Although this took 90 minutes
IT IS BECAUSE OF THE HIGH CALIBRE OF SERVICE FROM ROBERT THAT I HAVE AWARDED CANON 5 STARS.
I do hope that the senior management at Canon read these reviews.
SCAM CAUTION
Whilst unsuccessfully seeking help from Canon online, I was asked to put in my phone number.
Within a very short time I received a phone call purporting to be from Canon.
The guy said he would fix the problem.
As this call was as a result of procedure on The Canon website, as per the brief instruction booklet, I trusted the guy.
I was charged a £90.00 fee for cleaning my computer plus a further £119.99 for a 3 year anti virus contract.
On mentioning this to Canon, I was told that I had been scammed.
I contacted my credit card company and fortunately they have placed this in dispute.
I did request an email address from the suspected scammers, so that I could seek proof of their authenticity as working for Canon by knowing which department and the name of their contact at Canon.
Sadly my emails to them were bounced back as address unknown.
Hence my suspicion.
Canon Printer
It took a while to speak to a human instead of a "bot" to repair issues with my printer. The helpdesk was very professional however the issues were not resolved.
Canon unable to honor Pixma Print Plan contrat
I bought a Pixma TS7451i printer and a pixma print plan. While the printer is functionning correctly, Canon has never been able to activate the print plan.
I spend several hours with rather rude support team, and got a mail saying they would recontact me when the bug would be solved, since then nothing.
No cashback and poor product
I bought a Canon R6 MkII camera with a £200 cashback deal in November 23. I completed the claim form and emailed all the relevant information. Canon are denying that I sent the information in on time, despite sending them a copy of my emails. You can imagine that I didn't want to miss out on the cashback so claimed immediately. I have never received this money despite much correspondence with their company. I'm absolutely furious as I have bought Canon products all my life and this is how I have been treated. Totally useless. I have delayed putting this message on until now but I just can't forgive them, so here is my report.
I also bought a Canon G650 printer (after selling my other more advanced Canon printer because it literally drank the (very expensive) ink! I have to use my phone torch to view the very small display panel on the G650. A person at Canon admitted that there was a design fault and there should have been a light on it. On top of this, the printer (used with a Mac desktop computer) is an absolute NIGHTMARE to use. Beware!! It was purchased in January 24 and I dread using it. I thought that you were better than this, Canon.
Canon Printer bought via Argos
Canon Printer and Argos
I bought a Canon TS5050 4 years ago and after going through all fixes, checks and cleaning with Canon support to get it to load paper, without a jam, I had to dump it as too costly to send away and get fixed.
To replace it in November 2023 I bought a Canon TS8350a through our local Argos store in Sainsbury in Swindon. This printer has now stopped printing correctly missing lines out on a page. Spoke to Canon support site, and did all checks with them, and they agreed a repair under guarantee would be needed. Fair enough I thought.
I took it to my local Argos in Swindon and they refused to take it back saying it had to go via Canon only and they would not take it. They would not accept my bank receipt as proof of purchase either (I checked and it says this is acceptable on the Argos website). I said this was a legal document for proof of purchase but they said get hold of your legal people then! Poor customer service by Argos.
For the next 3 weeks I emailed Canon support and they had trouble with my proof of purchase ( I had now found the email receipt from Argos). Very slow responses by email and first problem was a PDF copy of the receipt was too big for them to read, then I sent a JPG copy and then that was too small to read. They asked if I could make a copy in between the 2 sizes! I then emailed the original receipt of purchase but this was not accepted either as their system could not cope. After 3 weeks and complaints they put me in touch with their repair centre and the printer went by post to them. It was repaired and had a new print head fitted. After 4 weeks I have the printer back and working.
What a frustrating exercise and time waste to get a faulty printer fixed by Canon when bought via Argos with hurdles to jump through and delays.
Canon TR45o7i printer and app woes
Canon TR45o7i printer keeps losing contact with my devices contacted canon via Web help page was given a phone number that is not recognised web chat that after a very long wait no one was available to chat ended up deleting canon print and printing with an other app that worked straight away
Why the bullet proof packaging?
Bought replacement ink cartridges for my TS3350 printer including some (unwanted photo paper). The toughest part was getting the cartridges out of the bullet proof non recyclable packaging without losing a finger. After that plain sailing but not impressed.
Canon BJC85 portable printer - no tech support
Bought a BJC85 portable printer some years ago for use on my travels, working around the world. Ideal for when I needed a hard copy of a document where I couldn't take my laptop or phone (hazardous areas).
Canon never produced a printer driver for Windows 10 / 11, so now my new computer won't work with it.
Canon tech support are totally indifferent and pretty much just said 'tough'. It's a great little printer, but now totally redundant. What a waste!
CANON POOR SERVICE
I have been using/buying Canon printer for my home since 2006( bought 4 since then) My recent printer was broken showing error code 7700 I called canon support helpline and was informed that ink cartilage is finished or non genuine cartilage is used PRINTER IS STILL UNDER WARRANTY If they repair the printer and found that non genuine cartilage was used I will be charged I could not remember using non genuine cartilage and I asked the agent for goodwill contribution in case it is chargeable The agent refused any contribution and I asked for Manager An agent informed me that Manager will contact me between 2 -5 days As manager did not contact me, I had to ring again but Manager was not willing to contribute any thing I took printer to local repairer and he sorted out printer in 2 minutes He managed to remove stuck cartilages and found that color cartilage was non genuine . It has genuine Canon sticker but underneath was third party label He charged me half of the price what Canon quoted me. Firstly , like other manufacturer printer, why was I able to install non genuine cartilage in first place and why was not able to replace it (was stuck)
In future I will think twice before buying any Canon products
I would give a mius review if possible
I bought a Canon 3650S printer to-day and attempted to connect the printer as per the instruction; this is supposed to a wireless printer, so, I tried to connect it wirelessly; the screenshots to not match the instructions, so, I do not know how this is supposed to be achieved. I tried to call the 'Tech Support' but they hung up on me. Get you act to-gether, or get out of the game Canon.
Canon TS5350a inkjet a time consuming nightmare
I bought a Canon TS5350a inkjet printer.
It is neat and sleek looking with the main paper tray being a cartridge on the underside of the printer, and the paper out tray being very compact and not even necessary to have it in the 'out' position to print a small document. I love the black colour and the low profile - so it is great to have on a desk - it was these aesthetics that encouraged me to pay more for this model than other available printers. One of my two stars are for the compactness and look, and I did get it to print - eventually - which is why I gave it the second star.
However, it took me five hours of frustrating work to get it to print anything.
Although the printer has a USB socket, it does not come with a USB cable and that is how I got it to work in the end.
To start with, after successfully connecting it to my wireless router and following the instructions meticulously regarding set up and paper loading, when I first tried to print, I got the 'support code' 2110, telling me that there was no 'Letter Size' paper in the tray. I had put A4 paper in there (correctly) and was trying to print an A4 document.
I re-set the paper size in the printer menu to A4 and the printer screen showed 'A4' but try to print and again I got the same 2110 support code, over and over again.
I searched for help on the Canon website but when I clicked the link to the page that I needed it said 'Sorry the page you are looking for can't be found', so Canon's support on this product is, effectively, zero. Decent support would have earned them another star.
I took it back to the shop where I bought it and the guy there plugged it into his computer with a USB cable and it worked. I insisted that he try to print wirelessly, and it worked.
I took it back home and it won't even connect to my Wi-Fi router now - at all! It just says follow the instructions on your computer screen or smart phone and there aren't any instructions there to follow.
I have experienced this with other printers in the past, once you 'spoil them' with a USB cable, they don't seem to want to go wireless anymore.
I sought out the Canon printer app and it said that it came with advertisements! I bought a printer; I don't see why I should have to be bombarded with advertisements just because I want to use it! So, I did not download the app. There is nothing in the instruction booklet about having to download an app for a desktop computer - only for a smart phone - and I have a constant battle with pop up ads that I hate.
Whilst back at the printer shop, I borrowed a USB cable, which is not included when you buy the printer, but I think it should be! Now that is the ONLY way that this printer will work. I am not happy because I paid for W-Fi printer and, effectively, I did not get one.
The five hours that I have spent getting it to work has cost me far more than the printer itself, not to mention the 20 mile round trip to the shop and back.
Other printers (HP) that I have had in the past have been just plug and play, no need to download drivers and go through complex set up procedures and pursuing tail chasing error messages. Such printers have been less than half of the price that I paid for this one, so why can't Canon produce a printer like that? Why does it have to be so complicated and temperamental?
I would love to hear back from Canon, I really would.
I purchased a Canon MG2550S printer…
I purchased a Canon MG2550S printer sept 17 2022.. my printer didn't last 10 months and i received error messages. I contacted Canon in Paris, as I currently live in France, refuse to respond to my mail or emails. Trying to get it fixed or tell me how to fix, or refund me. Now I have a printer that is useless, waste of money. I will never buy another Canon Printer. Thanks.
