Great Service, prompt attention

Never dealt with Campmor before. I came across it on the web searching for the lowest price possible for a pair of Revo sunglasses. Campmor website was easy to maneuver and user friendly. Took advantage of there bonus $20 coupon. I ordered and received my ordered 2 days later.
Excellent. Will pass it on to friends and family.

Terrible customer service

On or about Jan 9th, I purchased a pair of winter boots online. Since I was purchasing the boots online and live in Canada I selected to chat online link to speak to Customer Representative. I asked a couple questions and my last question was whether there would be any other charges, specifically border charges, however there was no response I repeated the question and still no response, I waited a few minutes for a response, finally I assumed there was some issue and preceded to finalize my transaction. Now that I've received my package there is a $45 charge attached. Now I'm very positive that the customer representative did not respond to my query in order to not let me know there would be an additional charge. I find that action reprehensible and underhanded. Purchased many items online and have never encountered a company that deliberately deceived a customer this way.... extremely unprofessional.

Return Policy and Misleading AD.

Ordered a Mantis Dragonfly backpack for $39.98 with a 20 % coupon and shipping of $6.99. No where in their ad did it state that this was a youth backpack. It was 3 days late getting to me and then I find out its a youth backpack. When I went to ship it back the post office informed me it would be $25.00 to ship back and UPS wanted $18.00. So I guess I'll sell it on Craigslist. Buyer beware.

Great products, great service

Ordered 19 items on Monday & they all arrived at my door on Friday. All items were exactly as described in online catalogue. Reviews were helpful, photos & specifications were accurate. We've used Campmor since the 1970's and have never been disappointed in the quality of the products or the service. Now our son is gearing up to backpack Australia & found everything he needed at Campmor.

Website Ordering Fine-Delivery Not So Much

I have been buying my outdoor gear from you guys for years and up until this last purchase it has been great. Prices and web navigation is still good but something changed in delivery. Feel like I have been wating a long time for my most recent order to arrive. Perhaps you spoiled me in past or have you changed the delivery method?

We sure do understand how you feel. I just looked up your order, and it looks like you placed your order late in the day on Friday after our warehouse had already closed for the day. We give our warehouse staff weekends off so that they may have some family time, and give them the opportunity to get out and explore the outdoors.

Your order was processed first thing Monday morning and shipped out that day via priority mail. Based upon what I see in the tracking system it appears that your order should arrive tomorrow. We state on our website an most packages arrive within 6 business days via Free standard delivery. Which would make this package right on time.

Straight up Scammed by Customer Service Rep

I contacted customer service because the Campmor website would not accept a 20% off special they had going for a pair of sandals I wanted to buy. I checked the sandal maker (Teva) against exclusions and they were not on the list so the discount code should have worked no problem. The customer service rep (Betty) told me to just go ahead and place the order and she would discount the sandals on the backend and email me an update in an hour. Well, Betty never discounted the sandals and never emailed me back in an hour, or ever! I followed up with an email to customer service asking for them to do what they promised they would do and the email was ignored as well. What shady reps to tell a customer to "just place the order" and we'll take care of the discount just to get my money. Had the discount not been available, I would have just purchased the sandals at my local REI and not had to wait. Needless to say I will never buy from Campmor and their dishonest and shady employees again.

Over a week to ship and several phone calls.

I purchased a tent online. The next day they sent me an email saying they wanted to speak with me in person to confirm the order. OK. Fine. The shipping and billing addresses were different so maybe they just want to make sure it is not fraud. I called that day and the person I spoke with said he would have the order released as soon as possible.

Days and days go by as I keep looking at my order on their site. It just says your order is being processed.

I call back now a full week after we ordered the tent and the woman I speak with is a bit rude. She says they were waiting to hear from me and sent me a note. I told her I already spoke with someone.

Never got a confirmation email saying it was released so I have to call back again. At this point, I'm ready to just cancel the damn order. Someone says it will ship tomorrow, so I will wait and see. So far, however, I would gladly pay an extra 20 to 30 dollars to get better service. I will not be shopping at Campmor again.

An email I sent has also gone unanswered.

Poor Customer Service

I've shopped online at Campmor more than a few times over the years, but no more. Campmor simply doesn't understand customer service, so my business will all go to REI and others in the future. I returned an item in perfect condition, original packaging, etc. and insured the return. It was a size issue, and I immediately ordered a replacement in a different size from Campmor. According to the USPS tracking number, the returned item was received by Campmor on Feb 16. I waited a few days, and after receiving no confirmatory e-mail from Campmor I sent an email on the 19th. I received an online reply that said returns processing takes 3-5 days.

I waited until day six and still hadn't heard anything from Campmor, nor had my credit card been credited. I called and was told by a gentleman in customer service that it would be processed and that I shouldn't worry. He wasn't rude, but he wasn't overly polite either. I asked if he could verify that the item was received by Campmor and he said that my USPS tracking number was my verification (I took that as a "no"). That told me that Campmor hadn't done a thing for six days. On day eight, still not having received any refund or confirmation of receipt of the returned item from Campmor, I sent an e-mail requesting answers. All I received was an "automated response" (no kidding), telling me that they had opened a "ticket number" concerning my customer service issue, and to use that "ticket number" in all future correspondence.

I called today (day 9), after receiving no communication since the "automated response" and was told that my refund was processed yesterday. I just checked my bank and no refund. I'm sure that the refund will show up soon, but that's not the point. The week+ delay before anything got done, the complete lack of communication, and the not-very-concerned attitude of the customer service rep. have soured me on Campmor. It's a competetive online market in the outdoor industry. Others do it better than Campmor; it's as simple as that.

Horrendous customer service and support

Campmor had been a nice place to do business, but I had to return an item due to poor craftsmanship. This item is the Klymit Inertia O Zone inflatable sleeping pad, bright yellow. I had no problem whatsoever until the shipping process. I have moved from my original address and several weeks ago and I changed the new address at that time, but apparently the fella forgot to process this with the computer. I followed the tracking process carefully, and I received an email when the item shipped, and this is when I found out it was shipped using the UPS SUREPOST system. This includes all shipping by UPS to the local Post office of the addressee
The post office then complete the final delivery with the regular mail delivery. Well, I have gotten the run around from Campmor, UPS GROUND, and the post office. Tracking information says the item was delivered to the local Post office and that it is out of UPS control, and I must contact Campmor shipping to change the delivery address. Well, I have now called them 4 times today alone, and each time a different person"tried to help ", but they were completely ride, arrogant, and passing the next. I learned that when they process the order for 2 separate shipping services, they have 2 separate tracking numbers that do not cross reference the other. I finally got the USPS number on my last call today from a guy named BOB, who was very rude and snippety with his comments, and he has a very distinct Jersey accent
I am still working on getting the process corrected ,now I can't get the post office to respond. Our town of Kalamazoo Michigan has 3 Post office locations and a regional sorting/processing facility. Tracking information da it is at one of those locations, but which one is not stated. Information obtained says the package was attempted to deliver, but is undeliverable due to wrong address!!! DUH!!! So sorry for my ranting, but I would much rather do business with REI or another competitor, as I think someone there could possibly have their s**t together to make customer happy! Rude staff customer service is not a priority

This company has terrible customer service allows their staff to be disrespectful to customers on the phone gives no apologies for not receiving a two-day shipping item after three days because they say they need a full 24 hours to process one item.. Spoke with a customer service representative named Lenny was super rude and unapologetic that I have not received one item that I ordered on Wednesday evening and here it is Saturday and I still don't have my item..extremely unsatisfied will never order from this company again!!

Their catalog is a small, black&white cheap affair that keeps their costs down... the website is pretty decent, item descriptions are good and the Q&A section is helpful to get that little bit of extra info. Pricing and shipping are very competitive with massive warehouse corporations.

Great Experience - Inexpensive Pricing on Standard Equipment

I purchased some XL snowpants last December (2013) about a week before Christmas. I placed my order without any issues and received confirmation and shipping details rather quickly. My order was delivered 2 days after Christmas which was pretty awesome considering there were only a few business days from the time I ordered and they were delivered.

While the pants I purchased aren't the lightest quality (they were like $50) ...like a pair of $200 burton snowboarding pants would be... the pants I selected worked exactly as I needed them to. They kept me dry and allowed me to run around in the snow while chasing after my little ones. They have great reviews from other customers on the site on various products (of course I left a review on my pants)! They offer a wide variety of high quality clothes, gear and accessories for tons of sports/activities! Check them out it you haven't already.

poor customer service

I have no idea what the store is like but I can tell you that I had a very negative experience with their mail order department. I ordered shoes that were not only clearly NOT the size I ordered but not as advertised. They were expensive shoes but showed up looking like sweat shop knock offs.

I IMMEDIATELY CONTACTED THEM and was assued they stood behind their products, yet they did not process my credit.

I returned the items the SAME DAY. Contacted them when I confirmed the arrival of the package via USPS and was again told they would credit me. Again, no credit

After more than a week I called again, and spoke to an incredibly rude woman who called me a liar and said they never received them. I called her up with the USPS tracking number, she said she would process the credit, and yet again, IT WAS NOT DONE.

A few days later, I had to fax the same USPS receipt. She told me (reluctantly I might add) that she would now process the credit.

My credit card company still says they never received the credit, and I have had to tell them that if it doesn't get processed soon I will seek legal action.

You would think a large company like this would stand by the promises on their web site and also understand the concept of customer service. I will NEVER order a single item from them ever again.
