Noone ever answers the phone and as for the council tax due to the legal side of it - these staff here just sip coffee and ignore the phone....... they respond with the summons and the extra charges. No wonder this Halifax is suicide central... a little town dominated by baster*s

If you are considering moving to the area then don't! The council will tear at your soul until there is nothing left.
If you are considering leaving then yes, yes, yes! Please do, I have been feeling so much better about life in general since leaving the Calderdale council area.
They operate as if they where a organised crime outfit, extortion and racketeering is common place for Calderdale council and they will leave you on hold forever and you can not get in contact with anyone to make a complaint they just right out refuse to talk with you.
