Terrible terrible experience. We arrived at the hotel I booked and they said there was no reservation in my name from byhours. I booked 6 hours because we have very early travel and needed to leave at 6:30am, and we had a very long day lasting at midnight, only to arrive at the hotel expecting to have atleast a decent rest but instead got so stressed because they said we have no reservation. We were so tired and then had to endure an hour of telling the reception that we had reservation and it was confirmed on the email, at some point they left us waiting in the lobby not knowing where we would sleep tonight. I tried to contact byhours on the phone but they can’t be reached, nobody was answering the phone. The guy from reception came back 20 minutes past 1am, asked me to forward the confirmation email from byhours and took a copy of my identity card, then gave us a room in the end. Absolutely frustrating experience.
Unfortunately the booking confirmed to me by byhours was never done with the hotel.
I did book a room for layover in Doha for 24 hours. The hotel did not find or have any booking even if byhours did confirm and also charged the transaction fee.
I had to pay almost double price for the room on-site.
By Hours easy to book ,brilliant idea as we r older. We had the 6 hour option, Spent day in Lisbon ,came back had a shower ready for our flight at 8pm. Metro was 5 min walk e1.75 return for metro into center. Nice welcome, Lovely room with tea and coffee, will b using this option again.
Every time I’ve used BYHOURS everything has been perfect. From the customer service to the hotel experience. It’s a great platform and application. I recommend it 100%.
We had a 6 hour stay yesterday in the Ciudad de Valencia Hotel which was perfect for our requirements. The hotel is well positioned and the staff are excellent, very friendly and helpful. I wouldn't hesitate to use ByHours again.
I was able to book a room for 6 hours, it was very helpful since my flight was delayed, the booking process was simple and fast, the hotel was awesome.
I will definitely use the platform again, it has helped me a lot and several times to stay before my early morning flights :D! It has also helped my mother who, on the odd visit and with a few too many glasses of wine, doesn't drive home and stays a few hours in a hotel of the area, so I find it wonderful! Good job!!
I've booked By Hours for the first time and I saved more than 30 USD. It should be more well-known.
I went with my partner to spend a few hours in my home city to disconnect. I was afraid to be charged because I use the hotel facilities (swimming pool and spa) but I didn't. It's quite pleasant to be able to check in at 9 am in morning!
Do not use this site!! Booked a stay for between flights, when we got to the hotel they had no record of our booking reference or any of our details, tried to call the helpline but an automated service said no one was available and hung up straight away also emailed and sent a message to their WhatsApp, we got an automated response from the email saying thy received it and the WhatsApp contacts us back over 4 hours after the booking was made for!! They tried blame the hotel saying it was a technical issue and they would call them, it wasn’t a technical issue on the hotels side as two members of staff had tried to sort this, they claimed they called and no one answered which I find hard to believe as there was someone constantly at reception and answering the phone when we were with them. They said their phone line also had a technical issue which is very convenient. They take 0 responsibility and just apologise and say it’s a technical issue or the hotels problem, do not waste your time you’ll only be left embarrassed and out of pocket when you have to pay for a separate booking at the hotel because your one does not exist!
ByHours did a good job of modifying my booking at the last minute but their customer service was not as prompt as I would have liked which caused me significant frustration and loss of time trying to resolve. During their published business hours, they are not answering the phone and no support was available on their web chat. The other difficulty is that the hotel can’t do anything directly about my reservation either.
My recommendation is to cancel any reservation and book a new one instead of asking their customer service to modify it, especially within 24 hours of the reservation. That way one can be sure of the new reservation. When there is a potential for flight delays it might be better to book at the last minute after arrival.

I was charged more than I was supposed to and they only got me a partial refund for the difference. They claim no responsibility, nor does the hotel. They said there is nothing they can do about it. So what's the advantage of paying by the hour if in the end you pay like a whole day?
This service is a good idea but it just isn't working properly.

I am still waiting for their "we're doing everything in our hands to get your full refund and we will keep pushing for it". I guess not much in their hands...

Had a problem with (I'll admit the cheapest hotel on the site) of which the details are not important. It was handled with thoughtfulness, care, attention, and I really felt valued as a human being. I was offered a small amount of compensation to try again and I was thrilled with that. I travel 40 weeks a year. Me and this company are going to get along well.

Very angry to find that my reservation was not honoured at Hyatt Place, the hotel was fully booked when I arrived despite having a reservation through BYHOURS, I was left stranded without a hotel room.
Do not trust this website.

Have booked a couple of micro stays through this website and in comparison to sites such as dayuse, has a much easier navigation of website and confirmations with hotels are immediate. References can be checked as soon as It has been booked and I have had no problems with checkins or payments. Very grateful for this trustworthy and economic option provided by byhours.

Rip Off! Wanted to book a few hours in a hotel on a layover, it made me think there was no availability so ended up paying for a whole night! Turns out there was availability but they only way you can book per hour is directly with the hotel themselves!
