Thank you for your message. I completely understand your frustration with the delay, particularly when you were expecting your order within the stated delivery timeframe.
I have reviewed the order and can see that it was placed at 10:22pm on Thursday. The order was picked and dispatched on Friday and was collected by Royal Mail in line with the expected timeframe from our side.
I can also see from the tracking that the parcel then travelled to Edinburgh before being forwarded to your local sorting office.
Once an order has been collected by Royal Mail, the delivery is handled entirely through their network. As with all Royal Mail services, any delivery timeframe or guarantee is provided by Royal Mail themselves rather than by us, and unfortunately we have no ability to alter the route of a parcel, speed up its journey or intervene directly with their sorting network once it is in their custody.
Royal Mail's delivery times can also be affected by the destination and local network, and they do advise that certain areas, including parts of the Highlands, can be subject to longer delivery times or delays.
I appreciate that this is not the outcome you were expecting, and I’m sorry that the parcel has taken longer to reach you. Unfortunately, I do not have access to the specific operational information held by Royal Mail regarding the reason for this particular delay.
As the parcel is currently within their network, Royal Mail would be best placed to provide you with any further information regarding the delay and the expected delivery date.
I appreciate your patience and understanding while the parcel makes its way to you.
