I bought a Brennan but I never received it. I live in the center of one of the UK's largest cities but the courier didn't deliver it on the day that they originally said, then they left it in a warehouse and wouldn't respond to my messages. So whats that got to do with Brennan? Well the courier returned it to Brennan and I didn't get my player. All that money and Brennan cant use a decent courier!

Have had 3 B2 previously and have been satisfied with them. The one to one contact with someone from Brennan has always been weak, this time emails with your Amanda has been helpful.
My new B2 sound is great,fascia is better looking. The CD TRAY is the weak point CD does'nt eject right out. I'ts fiddly putting CD on tray I have to support tray underneath because tray is flimsy I don't know how long it will last?

Thanks for the review. I must say I shared your concern about tray loading CDs - they are designed for laptop computers so they are very light / delicate. My concern was put to rest when I found that the Hitachi-LG drive is actually 2x faster than the old slot load CD mechanism we used in the JB7 and the original B2. Not having a CD load/eject motor appears to have given the manufacturer room for a beefier spindle motor. But I agree you need to take a bit more care than with the old slot load drive or the big desktop drive in the B3.

B2 remote lost in transit
Ordered a replacement B2 remote. Unfortunately, it didn't arrive. Contacted Brennan who arranged to send another remote. Prompt reply to my initial email and good communication all round.

The B3 is not integrating well with Sonos. It only recognizes 2 of 3 speakers. Also issues with WiFi. Cannot stream Cds / WAV files to Sonos unless I convert to MP3 which defeats the entire purpose of burning lossless CDs. It works just fine for CDs / WAV files with wired speakers. It streams internet radio without issues.

Sorry to hear about the difficulties you are having. Normally the B3 finds all the Sonos speakers without you having to do anything and it can play anything whether CD, wav, flac or mp3.
I have asked Paul to make contact to see if he can help - sometimes mesh routers can be a problem.
Meanwhile you might want to try the following if you haven't already
1) Upgrade the B3 to the latest software
2) Click reset followed by scan in the Sonos dialog on the web UI
3) Turn the Sonos speakers off and on
4) Check the Wifi signal strength - Settings & Tools > Maintenance > Advanced > Wifi Strength (Paul will need to know this)

Having tried out the Brannan B3+ for several days I am satisfied it is giving me the results I hoped for. It is easy to use even for a technophobe. The sound with the Brannan speakers is crisp and clear.
Labelling the speaker end of the leads with red and black would be helpful.
(The courier delivery for the speakers was less than Brennan standard).

This little box of magic
What can I say about this little box of magic, the new Brennan b2 2026 is a great machine, I'm currently transferring all my music to it from my NAS. Ripping an CD is also very easy and the sound quality is just fantastic.
I don't use wired speakers because we invested in Sonos sometime ago, like I said the sound is great, but with the Sonos speakers it give another dimenstion. You can pick your Sonos zones and of you go.
The web interface works really well and transferring music over the network works like a dream. I really don't understand why this little box of magic have not sold millions. Thanks Martin Brennan for the great invention.

I give 4 Stars only because there is some functionality in the software that could do with improvement.
Some Multi-CD will RIP both CDs as one and others it will separate into individual disc. It would be nice to be able to edit this (Split the discs) when they get combined.

Thanks for the four stars and the feedback. In fact there has been quite a lot of debate about Multi-CD collections on the forum and I am giving it some thought. Curiously most folk want to combine the CDs into one album - as opposed to splitting them. Right now I recommend using a playlist to combine the CDs - but maybe we need a kind of file explorer.

I'm sure this is great but I mistakenly thought this would recognise my cd collection I loaded onto my Brennan jb7 bought second hand, but found out later that this won't do that for music already on the drive only music loaded after this software is loaded.

Thank you for your 4 star review. You could try the following to allow you to re-label albums that were previously "Unknown" or incorrectly named however they need to be done individually. See our old website here https://www.oldbrennan.co.uk/itemcontent.php/content/database
Martin said whether it works will depend on the software date of the JB7. We stopped making them in 2014 and I think you need software from 2012 or later. As you say, the new JB7 database will allow you to recognise newly loaded CDs. The old website may be of interest to you as a new JB7 owner for other tips.

Although I ultimately sorted out my problem, I feel the support from Brennan is aimed at those who have more computer knowledge. I am quite good with computers providing the explanation is easy to follow.
I can understand the the OS is on a new sd card and that can be down loaded or I can pay a price for a new card. I chose to buy a new one, but the first one did not work, I then believed that there was a bigger problem. However I was sent another card and it works. The concern to me is that the operating is not that stable I am not sure what made my original stopped or was corrupted.

I'm glad you got your B2 working. The OS has been in use for more than ten years and used by tens of thousands of owners so that's unlikely to be a problem. SD cards however do fail. They can wear out and I have experienced several (cheap) SD cards containing photographs simply corrupting on their own when left in a drawer. That said I don't know why the first SD card we sent did not work so you are right to keep an eye on things until confidence is restored. Make sure you backup the B2 after any significant changes.
