We had 25 blinds and accompanying curtains fitted. We are very pleased with the result. We received excellent advice on colors and styling and staff of Chanel, Josh, Shaun and Nathan were very competent, friendly and pleased to give us good service. We would certainly use Brax again especially as local competitors did not come up to scratch.

Alcolhol fuelled Brax Christmas Party
Brax put on a Christmas party for their employees in early December, with employee's partners included on the invitations, & scheduled to be from 6.30pm - 10pm at one of their showrooms. Innocent enough & fitting for a self proclaimed family type business.. except that partners, although invited, were encouraged to stay at home, & that it turned into an 8 hour alcohol fuelled binge drinking session, all supplied by Brax, & winding up around 2am. One inebriated female employee ended up in the street, vomiting violently & uncontrollably, & she was just left there alone without any way to get home as everyone else just walked off & left her.. at 2am.. doesn't sound like much of a family business to me.

Dont, just dont…
I ordered my blinds on 9th November last year. They were fitted March this year. The first time the fitter visited one wouldnt roll up properly (ok this happens). One of the others hadnt been measured correctly and wouldnt allow me to open my security door. Second visit the same blind still wouldnt fit. Third visit mid April the fitter fitted a different patterned blind to the other 6. I didnt notice until today when I returned from holidays. I am so annoyed and frustrated.. This has has been a continuing saga for 6 months. Worst of all I paid for the blinds before I noticed the mismatch. God knows how long it will take this time to rectify it.
Don't use
Regardless of their service, they treat employees appallingly. I had a friend that nearly suffered a breakdown at the hands of their mismanagement and general bullying.

We have spent tens of thousands of dollars at Brax over the last 6 years and in that time they have gone from being excellent to dreadful.
Our last few experiences with them have been quite poor with todays taking the cake for seriously bad.
They picked up our master bedroom blind about a month ago for a simple recut and motorisation. We paid at the time. Having heard nothing from them we called this week to follow up. They had lost the order. They got it done (apparently) in a day and booked in for it to be fitted today between 10 and 12. With nothing heard by 12.15pm we called to follow up. We were told the guy had been held up on a job and would be late. By 3.30pm still no sign of Brax so we called yet again. This time the story was the guy had never taken the blind from the factory this morning and wouldn't be coming! So I spent all day at home waiting for absolutely no reason.
What made it worse was that they really didn't give a damn that they have stuffed us around.
We have been loyal customers but never, ever, EVER again.

We had a folding arm awning installed
We had a folding arm awning installed. We had a couple of issues. The first being that there was a slight curve in the cassette that the awning was in. We were first told that "that is the way it is". However, our neighbour wanted to order one and he wasn't prepared to accept an awning with a curve in it. Therefore, ours was eventually fixed.
Another issue is that the awning crashes and makes a noise when it returns to the cassette. Again we were told that "that is the way it is". However, our neighbour had one installed and the crashing was unacceptable to him and he insisted that it be fixed and it was. However, ours remains still crashing.

So far so good as my shutters are still to be installed..... but I have no reason to suspect nothing other than 10 out of 10 experience with Brax as I have used them for years and the job and follow through has always been excellent.

The only negative was that we had to wait more than the given estimate time of installation for outside blinds! That said we are very happy!

Overall we are happy ...
Overall we are happy with our house fit out and the excellent, helpful service provided.
The initial deposit could have been better acknowledged by the way of a formal receipt.
Disappointed that there was a measurement issue with a corner blind necessitating the need for pelmets.
We have been very happy with the friendly service and the attempts to rectify the above situation and the persistent rattling of an exterior roller shutter.

Great people, great product, could be better
OK, Firstly, the personal service from Peter and Debbie was excellent. They both had good product knowledge, great attitude and excellent customer relationships.
Sorry, but thats the end of the good news.
The unit itself is great, BUT the cover was the wrong size, installation bolts were too short and the battery in the remote was totally flat. Still waiting for the installation to be completed. The message us this: Quality control is way below acceptabe standard, and the factory needs to address this urgently to retain happy customers and get good survey results. Back up your sales and installation staff and you will get 5 stars!
