Hearing test with Boots Hearing Care, Buttercrane, Newry, Northern Ireland.
Going for a hearing test can be daunting but Elaine, the audiologist, was relaxed, considerate and helpful.
She explained the process and then the different types of hearing aids available.

I have been trying to contact Boots Buttercrane Newry to cancel an appointment for an elderly relative
We have tried ringing & you are put through to an automated service: with no answer. No resolution currently, yet the letter is saying you will be charged if not cancelled 48 hours prior to appointment date!! How is one meant to resolve this issue if no-one picks up a phone! Dreadful service!!

Painless, reassuring & informative
I recently accompanied my dad to his first ever hearing test at Boots Newry Hearing care centre. Elaine, our audiologist, is such a lovely, reassuring lady. She explained in detail the whole process to my 84 year old dad who was quite apprehensive about possibly having to get hearing aids. However, the initial test was painless and quick and results were explained. Then options were discussed for the hearing aid dad needed but no pressure to purchase. We went home to mull over the options then contacted Elaine to advise of our decision. Appointment made for few days time for fitting and dad got his hearing aids. It is an expensive purchase but credit options are also available. Dad has peace of mind as the aftercare service is for his lifetime with the hearing aids. He has a few follow up appointments with Elaine to see how he is getting on which is an excellent service. Overall dad and I highly recommend Boots Newry Hearing Care, we are really pleased with the level and quality of the service and of how pleasant and professional Elaine was.
