Boots in York is a large, sizeable shop with a reasonable range of stock. However, the “customer experience” is nonexistent unless you’re buying makeup. To have entirely self service checkouts with no staffed till option is very poor, especially for older customers.

I placed my order on May 6th and am writing this on May 16th with still no delivery. I contacted customer service only to be told I need to wait 3 more days because it’s "too early" to do anything, and if it doesn't arrive, I have to call back again. You'd think I was ordering from China—honestly, it probably would have arrived quicker!

The items were not packaged appropriately. The Head and Shoulders shampoo bottle had leaked everywhere all over the other items. The toothbrushes were a different colour to what I had ordered. This is the second parcel I’ve had from Boots online that has had items leaking inside.
I don’t think I will place any future online orders unless I receive a guarantee that the packaging will be better

Why haven’t I made my order through AMAZ@N??? Decided to give Boots a try because the price was slightly lower. One week has passed after the order and it still hasn’t arrived. It is not Boots fault directly but it is their responsibility to partner up with a reliable delivery service. Boots refuses to deal with the delay until “enough” time passes by from the order. So I have to sit and wait. 😭

I had purchased, online, a Snoozeband Headband and had exchanged it for a Snoozeband Delux Sleep mask As always Boots were value for money and they were quick on the delivery. There was also a smooth return/exchange of the unwanted item at a local store.

The service is always friendly and polite, but getting served is terrible.,
I’ve stood at the counter for almost 5 minutes on many occasions with others behind me waiting, whilst two staff are at one end of the counter doing prescriptions, one out on the shop floor stacking shelves, yet no one even attempted to come and serve us.
Come on Boots sort your staffing out please, or you will lose customers, if you haven’t already.

Great range of products. Website can be a bit slow, but is better than it used to be. Items delivered as stated, but packaging was damaged - although all items were present. Overall a good service.
