Dear Big Motoring World After Sales Team,
After completing all the required checks and sending my findings to the After Sales Team as requested, I have received little to no response. More importantly, the severity of the issues I reported—particularly the condition of the brakes—does not appear to have been taken seriously.
The condition of the brakes is extremely concerning, and failing to address a serious safety issue such as this promptly is unacceptable. A vehicle’s braking system directly affects the safety of the driver, passengers and other road users, so I am extremely disappointed that this matter has been allowed to continue for so long.
It has now been almost six months since I purchased the car. On the day of collection, I raised several issues with the vehicle and was assured that they would be resolved promptly. Unfortunately, many of these issues remain outstanding despite my repeatedly chasing the After Sales Team for updates.
I feel that my concerns have been repeatedly overlooked, and this has left me without the vehicle I paid for in the condition I was promised. I am therefore asking for this matter to be treated as a priority and for the outstanding issues, particularly the brake-related safety concerns, to be resolved as soon as possible.
I would appreciate a clear response outlining what action will be taken and when I can expect these issues to be fully resolved.
I hope this can be dealt with promptly and satisfactorily so that I can safely enjoy the vehicle I paid for.

This place is hilarious — it’s like walking into a low-budget soft-porn set, except instead of anything remotely exciting, there are naff leather sofas, ageing iMacs pretending to be something they’re not, and salesmen sitting behind a see-through wall, laughing and chatting on their phones.
We walked in wanting to look at the cars in the lot because, frankly, we didn’t even know what car we wanted yet. A perfectly reasonable approach, you’d think.
Apparently not.
Before we were allowed anywhere near an actual car, the “salesman” sat us down and launched into a detailed explanation of PCP and HP finance. We hadn’t looked at a car. We hadn’t chosen a car. We barely knew what we were doing there. Yet somehow we were already discussing how we were going to pay for the mystery vehicle we hadn’t even seen. It was like being asked how you’re going to finance dinner before you’ve looked at the menu.
Then came the next masterpiece: we were shown the exact same website we’d already looked at before arriving, with the salesman helpfully reading the information on the screen out loud to us. Because apparently our ability to read had also been put through the finance approval process.
Eventually, they brought a car out for us to look at. As we walked towards it, we were once again asked how we intended to pay for it.
I genuinely thought I’d wandered onto the set of a sitcom.
We finally got to the car and, while we were looking around it, the salesman stood in the corner watching us. Not helping. Not answering questions. Just… observing. Like a security guard at an art gallery waiting for someone to steal a Picasso.
We then asked if we could simply walk around the lot and look at the other cars. After another impressive amount of waffle from the “salesman”, he eventually agreed.
This is possibly the most backwards way I’ve ever seen anyone attempt to sell a car.
Let people into the lot. Let them look around. If something catches their eye, they’ll ask questions. It’s really not complicated.
And while you’re at it, maybe replace the soft-porn furniture in reception. The combination of shiny leather sofas, see-through walls and men laughing on their phones is… quite the first impression.
I'd probably avoid this place - I don't hold much hope the cars are inspected like they say anyway. All the old lease cars end up here and they're pretty battered.

I came into big motoring world thinking they were a very reputable dealer - at least that’s how they portrayed themselves - I bought a new golf GTI spending around 27 thousand pound outright and within the first week it was diagnosed with a major gearbox fault that required £1300 worth of repair in which their warranty covered less then half - my attempts to get into contact with big motoring world and the warranty were appalling and I was shunted from one to the other and it became a long tedious process - throughout this period I was left without my car for 2 weeks which impacted my ability to get to work and now even a month later they’re still “investigating” my case with little to no updates from big motoring world. The repairs took place at Volkswagen group who even criticised big motoring world for their poor customer care and their lack of vehicle care, the car came with empty brake fluid, low levels of oil and they did not even bother to wash the car before they handed the keys as they promised. I am now having to consider taking action by the country small courts proceeding as advised by my solicitor for the damages ensued from this garbage dealership, they will sell you a dream and shunt you out of their doors and after that they will forget about you, I would seriously urge all people reading this review to go instead to a main dealership as I have learnt now that this is common practice amongst most big motoring world dealerships

I purchased my a Mercedes GLC from Big Motoring World in Maidstone around two years ago. As this was my first major purchase, I took the time to thoroughly inspect the car, carry out the necessary checks and take it for a test drive. Everything appeared to be in good condition, so I felt confident going ahead with the purchase.
Unfortunately, that confidence quickly disappeared. On the three-hour drive home, while travelling at around 70mph, the car began shaking noticeably. I later discovered that the wheels/tyres were imbalanced and the car required a wheel alignment.
I contacted Big Motoring World about the issue, but dealing with them was extremely difficult. What followed was months of back-and-forth emails, with me being sent to multiple places and having to repeatedly pursue the matter before they eventually agreed to refund me for the work that had been carried out. What was particularly frustrating was that I felt I had very little support or option to simply return the vehicle.
Unfortunately, the problems did not end there. The wheel alignment issue continued to reoccur roughly every 8–9 months. I have also experienced ongoing electrical issues with the vehicle.
More recently, the situation became even more serious when the car required an engine replacement. When the vehicle was inspected by the garage, I was told that the original Mercedes engine had apparently been glued on, which had subsequently resulted in foam and rust developing around the area.
For a purchase that was supposed to give me confidence and peace of mind, this has been an incredibly frustrating and expensive experience. As a first-time buyer making such a significant purchase, I expected much better customer service and, more importantly, a vehicle that was properly prepared and fit for purpose.
The way my original issues were handled left me feeling trapped with a car that continued to develop problems, and the recent findings regarding the engine have been particularly upsetting.
I would strongly encourage anyone considering purchasing from Big Motoring World to carry out as many independent checks as possible before committing to a vehicle. My personal experience has been extremely disappointing.

Post My experience with Big Motoring World has been extremely poor. I was without a car for months, the vehicle suffered repeated breakdowns, there were long delays and poor communication, and I did not receive a proper resolution despite giving Big Motoring World several chances to put things right. Court appears to be the next option Based on my experience, I would not recommend Big Motoring World.

Arrived at opening time with no pre booked appointment, immediately it was clear that nothing would be too much trouble…
Welcomed and booked in within 5mins with and advisor called Bethan…whe was brilliant, good bloke, kept it light and fun, no hard sales pitch…
The aftercare/handover once I made my purchase, was then taken care of by the wonderful Kayleigh…
Kayleigh was sharp, well spoken in terms of keeping it quick and simple, everything was done in a flash, due to a slight cleaning delay Kayleigh then returned to get me, all resolved in minutes and Kayleigh was bright, polite and concise…impressive.

Outstanding service from Tiffany and yucel. Tiffany took her time to answer all the questions, explained my options clearly, and never made me feel pressured into making desicion. It was a pleasant experience while buying a car.

I had first visit and met with the salesman (young guy). He is passive. Nothing to tell about the car. I have requested to do test drive for 3 cars but he told why I need to do those cars which are the same model. That's the main reason I didn't make decision on that day.
2 weeks later, I came back again but I told the reception to another salesman. I have different experience this time and I had test drive for few cars and I am happy to make decision for my next car.

My experience with big motoring world from the day of purchase has been least to say the worse customer service I have ever received. I have never Experienced such incompetence from so many different members of staff and some are supposed to be senior staff. In a nut shell I purchased my vehicle 28th December within two weeks my engine management light came on this was reported straight away, it took big motoring world 8 weeks to even get my car booked into a garage. After my car being seen by two different garages whom refused to complete any work due to the amount of work and cost a third garage took on the work. My car then sat in the garage for 6 weeks waiting for big motoring world to approve the work. Which I was not provided with any sort of replacement car. Once the repairs had been approved they said they would only approve half the work that needed doing. Today the 11th of August I picked up my car from the garage with still remaining faults which I now have to wait for the warranty to approve. So eight months since reporting my fault and still all the repairs haven’t been carried out. In eight months I have never received a single call back from anyone and single email with any updates. Every conversation I have had has been because I have rang up. The decree you are called the after sales team is an absolute joke because you have no after sales care at all. Worse company I have ever dealt with and will never use ever again and will certainly make it known to a lot of other people to avoid at all cost.

AVOIDDDDDD AT ALL COST
I brought a vehicle 26 days ago on the 4th August a light came on my dashboard the right indicator light on my t roc stopped working , I called blue motors and reported the problem they transferred my to there insurance (warranty) in which I purchased extra warranty outside there 3 month window, I was then booked to take to there chosen garage where I got the diagnostic of which because of the make of car it’s not a simple fix they would have to take the whole LED unit out and replace , Monday I was called to confirm the fault that had to be fixed and was told I would be called back asap, Tuesday today comes I call up and was told the job has been rejected , I have sent several complaint emails which have not been answered to and had several rude workers on there after sales team basically not helping , quoting isra from head office saying these things happens is a vehicle , refusing me to speak to a manager saying she will say the same thing . I have chased up big motors who said they will have the warranty re look the claim and they need more info from the garage, I called the garage they said they sent everything over . Now under the 2015 consumers act big motoring world should of fixed this issue despite what there third party warranty said as the vehicle was purchased 26 days ago which I had to inform Emily of as she also was quick to tell me it’s under review , this is the most disappointing experience I have had and to be honest I will be opting to get a refund , from last Wednesday I cannot drive the car as it’s not road worthy ( expect for driving it to the garage and back home on the 7th to get the diagnostics) and when asking isra for compensation in for missing days out on work he clearly said we don’t do that here. The after sales team are no help , complaints don’t get replied after 3 working days like they state and they are quick to call for a sale but not when a issue occurs , please for your sanity do not bother because you will not get proper support from the after sales team , I have also had to inform my finance company to chase this issue as well

Avoid if you value customer service and competence
We bought our Audi Q3 from Big Motoring World in 2023 and had a great car for three years with no issues. Unfortunately, our recent experience trying to sell it back through Big Wants Your Car was dreadful.
After accepting a quote, the collection was rejected for an alleged "oil smudge issue". When we called to discuss it, the sales representative was rude and dismissive.
We then had the car independently inspected by a reputable garage, which confirmed there was no issue at all.
The real shock came when another buyer discovered an outstanding finance marker on our vehicle, despite us purchasing the car outright with cash and never taking finance. After numerous calls and being passed around different teams, Big Motoring World finally admitted that a stocking finance marker had been left on the vehicle in error after they decided not to buy it.
Because of their mistake, we lost selling opportunities, had to extend our insurance, pay additional parking costs, and spend hours chasing a problem that should never have existed.
Poor customer service, poor communication, and a serious administrative error that caused unnecessary stress and financial loss. Very disappointing experience.

Very Good service. Few days following my car purchase, I realised that the parking sensors and exhaust shield was faulty. It took a while from communication with the warranty company and the Big motoring world to have the repairs done. But the Big motoring world eventually took charge of my complaints and completed the repairs at my local garage. They always responded to my emails promptly. Thank you

Everyone was lovely, the delays in between sorting things is a bit on the slow side and is frustrating if you have somewhere to be, doesn’t feel very smoothe. Cars come with next to no petrol, and no drive away insurance which is quite poor. They also only keep your car 3 days regardless if you pay the £500 non refundable deposit.
