Gave an impossible deadline to exchange contracts. Heard nothing on the deadline day. 5 weeks later gave us a week to exchange or would pull out of selling the property to us. Asked for 3 week extension due to complication on the sale of current property but failed to even acknowledge we’d even asked. Gave them a deadline to confirm if we could be granted an extension and still heard nothing back. Saw the property back up on the market for 5k less than the offer we’d had accepted. I would not buy a house from these as it seems they don’t really know how to go about selling a house. Seems like they wanted a cash buyer and knew our position before accepting the offer.

The Sales team were so wonderful! They were professional, knowledgeable & considerate of our specific circumstances.

Having purchased a home from Bewley over 2 years ago I can safely say I am still as in love with it now as I was when I first moved in! The site teams, Bewley staff, contractors are all second to none. All snags (aside from one ongoing) were fixed in a timely manner, even going as far as spending additional money on our property to enable satisfaction which was amazing.
Children are safe to play freely, enjoying their surroundings, residents are all friendly with one another and the location is perfect with the village feel but towns close by for ease.

Feel very lucky to live here.

Bewley Homes Bishops Garden Development, Wickham, Hampshire - advice - Avoid!

This development is quite honestly awful and should be renamed Hell Garden!

By all means buy a house here if you enjoy being awakened by a maniacal, screaming, squeaky voiced horror child accompanied by a chorus of barking dogs. Then there’s the resident who feels its perfectly acceptable to open her front door to let her overweight, decrepit golden labrador wander over other residents front gardens lifting its leg and then scuffing up dirt, culminating in it crapping by the side of properties while she looks on not attempting to clear up after it, and often wandering behind it in her pyjamas and dressing gown with a mobile phone glued to her ear!

You might also enjoy the swarms of screaming scooter rabble roaming everywhere from dawn until dusk!

These properties are crammed in on top of each other, no breathing space or chance of peace and quiet!

Great customer care, amazing new home and beautiful location.

The whole tedious process of buying a property was made easier with Bewley Homes continued support throughout. They are a proactive company and I feel that they believe the customer's requirements are their priority. I love, love my new home, there doesn't appear to be many snags but where some minor remedial work has been required without exception workers and or representatives of Bewly Homes have been very respectful of my property. I have nothing but praise for Bewley Homes and am so glad I bought one of their properties

Great advice from both Caroline and Aly at Wilton Park . Very knowledgeable and provided a great service even though I did not go ahead with a purchase.

After sales customer care is very poor! Dismissive, uninterested and they have actually blamed us for some faults with the house.

It would seem they don’t care once they’ve got your money.

The standard is not of high quality like it was made out to be either, and we have many ongoing snags.

We would never buy a Bewley home again.

Bellmount - Faringdon

Comparing house prices, the site has probably added around 50-60k on top of current market under the umbrella of high spec (it isnt high spec, its a cheap house).

The site is beyond disorganised, communication with owners is poor and inadequate.

The experience of buying a house in this estate has been beyond unsatisfactory. The number of snags has been high, all work done with contractors, some of very poor quality and poor behaviours (ie i was around working I thought id try and see if i can pop in and do the work in your house - no appointment, no comms, could be anybody…)

Snags have not finished in 10 months, some havent been completed because they thought hiring solicitors to back us off is better than having a happy customer.

Overall, we remain unhappy with Bewley and would advise customers to avoid.

Nicole and Katy made the experience of buying my new home stress-free and very pleasant. Extremely friendly, helpful and professional at all times.

I did not want a new build particularly but we had to move for work and we have been genuinely pleased with the experience. Gavin and Katie in the sales team, were brilliant very professional, supportive and helpful pre completion, and after sales with Site manager George has exceeded expectations, other than a few minor snags, house quality is very good, our structural engineer inspected mid way through build and all very much in order and well executed. Would recommend Bewley Homes, as they are in a different league to the large developers - Thanks to all in the Bewley team who built our new home!

We purchased a 4 bed detached house (£725k) on their Victory Fields development in Tongham in Sept 2022., Overall, the build quality and the quality of the internal finish is dreadful - since moving in we've reported 200+ snags, ranging from the serious to the cosmetic. They are great when you’re buying, but once you move in, their post sales and customer service is atrocious - unresponsive, evasive, defecting, dismissive, etc. We've been in the property for 20 months and we are still experiencing leak at the front of the house (this was reported in Dec 2022), a general drainage issue in the garden (reported when we moved in Sept 2022 and a serious pooling issue on the drive way. We would never purchase another house from Bewley Homes and I would recommend that you avoid them too.

Bewley have been great in every department. The sales team are very friendly and knowledgeable, and customer service very efficient in getting any snags rectified. The Bewley Bond is a brilliant idea.

Katy and Nicole in tandem with their sales manager have taken what was a very stressful, seemingly unending process of buying a new home into a short, relaxing and enjoyable process. We have felt incredibly valued throughout the process and have ended up with a beautiful home that we cannot wait to move into. No question and query is too much and the knowledge and understanding of both Katy and Nicole was fantastic. I would highly recommend.

The team at Bewley Homes Wilton Park have been amazing. From our first introduction, the team have been helpful, considerate and patient. They have gone over and beyond to support myself and my family and more recently with my mum who was selecting her new home. Their support has been invaluable.
The quality of the property builds and the care and attention that the team on site provide are second to none.
The Bewley experience has been excellent and I have no hesitation in recommending their knowledge and experience in this field.

I was helping my parents look for a new home and came across the King’s Water site is Ashton Keynes, Bewley was new to us and we didn’t no much about them, I was nervous as my parents haven’t moved in over 30 years, upon our first enquiry we met Clint who is the sales advisor for the site, he did an amazing job in giving us the most thorough overview of the site and talked us through the homes and how the process works, nothing was to much trouble, we felt cared for, we then had a site visit organised and were even given Bewley hard hats! The site is stunning, such history and beauty, Mark the site manager we thought was also brilliant and answered all our questions, unfortunately due to timescales a move to phase 1 just wouldn’t work however we are set on moving to Kings Water and will be looking at a plot in the next phase, we just wanted to pass our thanks to Clint for a great experience and he is a real asset to the Bewley team, can’t recommend enough.

The whole experience has been good, from the sales team to the site manager Karl nothing has been too much trouble , if any issues have been raised they have been dealt with straight away, and I would have no problems in recommending my friends towards living on the site, which comes across and a nice village .

I’d like to take this opportunity to express my genuine gratitude to Katy and Nicole (at Alfold) who were exemplary in their professionalism, courtesy, their insights and depth of knowledge. Above all they were both approachable and accommodating to myself and my wife. Whilst we didn’t buy at the Alfold area it did help us make a decision to stick with them for their upcoming development. Nicole was terrific when showing us round the show home and her knowledge was impressive. Spending time with her and not being rushed. Equally Katy’s attention to the process of buying a Bewley home helped make our decision all the more easy. They both had a personal, real world, humanistic touch when dealing with our queries. This positive experience with them both is the reason why my mind was made up to buy a Bewley home. Thankyou both so much for helping us pave a positive next step! S and V
