My friend and I decided to create accounts for the World Cup final.

We read the terms and conditions and met all the requirements for receiving the free bets, but mine only arrived after 20 minutes, while my friend never received his at all. Because of the delay, I missed the chance to place my Bet Builder. Thanks for not mentioning this delay anywhere in the rules.

You cannot even do “forgot password” it gets stuck at giving instructions on how to take a selfie but does not move beyond that. As a QA analyst it hurts to the core to see a big organization deploy such a basic bug on app and web.

Deposited £10. Won my first bet. Account then got locked. I have uploaded all required document and ID multiple times. Customer service chat takes over half an hour to even get a response and they purposely don’t have a phone number to call. I have sent various emails to all of their email addresses and they will not respond. If you’re an average customer looking to register with Betway. I would advise strongly not to. They will accept your first deposit then will lock your account and make it virtually impossible to log back in. I’ve been trying all day everyday just to get my funds withdrawn and they are just holding my funds with out any access to log in. They will reply to this saying “check your private messages” they will not send you private messages just automated replies. The worst betting company I have ever came across. I’m a military veteran and genuinely Betway have effect my mental health. They have literally stolen from me and many other companies. They have no customer care and are based in Malta to prevent paying tax etc. Just register to Skybet or William Hill, not these absolute cowboys.

It was great when I first joined then it went downhill from there. All I ever win on free spins is 1 free spin and on the super wheel it should say deposit £10 and win 5 free spins because that's all I've ever won and I've never won anything on them. I am writing this to warn the public and expose the completely unacceptable behavior of Betway South Africa. Since Sunday, I have been entirely unable to deposit or withdraw my funds.Every time I attempt to request a withdrawal, the platform traps my profile in an infinite loop, redirecting me to the identity verification screen. The catch? My account is already 100% fully FICA verified. This is a severe backend database desynchronization glitch on my specific profile, yet Betway refuses to fix it. When I contacted customer support, I was flat-out lied to. They claimed this is a "known system-wide outage." My own research proves this is a lie—no one else is experiencing this since Sunday, and the platform is working fine for others. Worse still, I have now completely exhausted all available support channels. Every time I reach out to live chat to explain the issue, the agents rudely and abruptly end the chat session to clear their queues rather than escalating a technical script error. I have now downloaded every single chat transcript, documented the names of all the agents who intentionally cut me off, and saved the ignored emails I sent to their support team. Since Betway is illegally withholding my funds, failing to provide basic customer recourse, and ignoring emails, I have officially compiled my chat transcripts and am referring this matter directly to the Western Cape Gambling and Racing Board (WCGRB) for an institutional investigation into their bookmaker license. Betway, manually clear the blocked payment script on my profile immediately.

signed up before world cup and was promised 4x £10 free bets and 2x£10 free bets on world cup. i had to go on chat twice to get the first lot of free bets but never got the 2nd lot on world cup despite wasting 2 hours on their chat on 4 seperate occasions, this firm are not to be trusted, i never placed another cash bet with them and closed my account shortly afterwards. stay clear of them.

I do not advise anybody to use their service, after depositing they will ask you to validate your accout by sending them documents (passport / driving license / national id...). I did all that, and they kept asking me to validate my account. I emailed their support, then they gave me another email to send my documents to which I did but to no prevail.

This only proves they are SCAM and SPAM.

No I do not want to contact you any more because you are fake. You pushed me from one department to another. And at the end nobody replied. I am going to do this my mission to let everybody know. I have screenshots and I will share with everybody.

Deposited in my account 3 months ago, no verification or reply, locked my account no reply had to file IBAS complaint to receive my deposit still waiting. 40 minute wait on live chat

My first withdrawal went through fine, when it came to my second withdrawal they said it had been payed, kept telling me to check bank which I did, kept going on the chat, had to email my bank statement as proof I had not received the payment ! They just didn’t want to pay out and still haven’t

Ridiculously bad customer service. Account was locked before the World Cup started, haven't been able to access throughout the whole tournament, funds are sitting in there doing nothing. Live Chat is a farce, was waiting for 35 mins till someone answered and they disconnect you if you're not 'active'. Really pathetic, I am surprised they have such a high rating at 1.8!

I’ve been trying for 3 days to withdraw my winnings of £54. I received an email to say my method of deposit can’t be used for withdrawal (Apple Pay). The email says to update withdrawal banking details. I’ve tried to add a different method but I receive an error message and says I must deposit with this method first. So I deposited using a different method and still can’t add this to the withdrawal screen as I get the same error. No contact no, only bot on chat which closes off, no one to speak with, no complaints address. If I fail to get a response I will raise with the UK Gambling commission.

If I could give zero stars I would. My winnings were not credited to my account. Checked settled bets. Bet confirmed as WON. Impossible to contact customer support in Ireland.

They have sent me a reply on my last review about how they can help me with my 1 month over due withdrawal of £93.03 insisting they can help me with this. But surprise, surprise they have still not given a direct answer and my withdrawal has still not gotten through even though I have done everything they have asked. This betting website needs to be taken down ASAP.

I had a very disappointing experience with Betway’s customer support. I placed a football accumulator where every selection won except one – Lionel Messi to have 1+ shot on target.

After the match, I tried to explain that the full match statistics showed Messi recorded a shot on target, but the agents repeatedly told me he had 0 shots on target without properly addressing the point I was making. Instead of explaining the difference between regular time and the full match statistics, I was given generic responses and eventually the chat was ended.

What also disappointed me was that my review of the bet didn’t really address the issue I had raised. I wasn’t simply saying “my bet should have won”—I was asking for clarification because every other leg of my accumulator had won, and this was the only selection that lost. Rather than properly discussing my concern, I felt like my questions were dismissed.

I’m not leaving this review because I lost a bet. Losing is part of betting. I’m leaving it because I expected clearer market information, a proper explanation of the settlement, and customer service that actually listened instead of sending standard replies. Customers deserve to be treated with respect and have their concerns genuinely addressed.

They decided to lock my account after I made a deposit and asked for verification documents.
After submitting these documents the account remains locked and each time I asked for an update they moved the goalposts asking me to wait 24,48,72 hours.(Now been almost a week)
In effect they stole my deposit and are disallowing me from retrieving it.
Cannot recommend this site, stay away if you value your funds.
