Bb cakes of bewdley Avoid. Bent cakes
We used bbcakes of Bewdly for our wedding cake .Right up until 2 days before our wedding we had heard nothing from Lisa even though we had paid in full , I had to contact bb cakes twice, a week before and 2 days before our wedding to check everything was on track . We wanted pictures whilst it was being made to check the colour was as we had asked for , as it was particularly important to us,we were told we would get pictures when the cake arrived at our venue, we received nothing. On our wedding day we were very disappointed, the cake wasn’t straight, it was lopsided at the side, and the colour was very much not what we had asked for , we asked for sage green to go with our wedding theme, the cake we received was mint green and looked very cheap and plastic looking. Like a rip off temu cake is how best we could describe it . The taste wasn’t much better , it wasn’t fresh and spongy considering she had told us she had baked it the day before . We come to contact bb cakes after our wedding to give her feedback and tell her we wasn’t happy, as our cake wasn’t what we had asked for, to find we was already blocked on Facebook messenger and also from her main business Facebook page which I was following , to which we were very shocked as the last communication we had had with her was before we received the cake and was friendly . So my husband left a review on her Facebook business wall to state we were very shocked with the treatment we had received and received a bent cake and could she contact us . She told us cakes can not be replicated , to which I somewhat agreed but mint is not sage , which is what we had asked for , she gave some excuse about the cake being bent due to it being displayed in the window and having sun on it , which I knew was rubbish as it wasn’t a hot day and was mid September, I had had my reservations about using bb cakes as after we had paid, I had seen pics of her other creations where the cakes were bent , so was worried ours wouldn’t be straight either , I wish I had listened to my intuition, but we had already paid at this point . On speaking to bbcakes , she was full of excuses, never so much as gave us a good will gesture or part refund or even a lousy £50 back , we had paid nearly £400 , just didn’t seem to care that this was our wedding cake and wasn’t what we had asked for . Avoid if you want a straight cake and good customer service. Our venue , flowers , car , church were all exceptional, not a fault with any of them , but our wedding cake completely let us down.
