Easy website to use, clear pictures and detailed descriptions. Exceptional order/delivery time. Plants really well packed, of a very high standard, look super healthy, can't imagine there will be any problem getting them growing. Really nice humour included free of charge! Probably the best website I've ever used for plants, and I've used a lot.

My favourite nursery for buying perennials! Loads of information about plants, a wide selection and a unique packaging method which is really impressive, and speedy. Love the Ulster humour too!

Ballyrobert Gardens: I am a repeat customer and find their website and newsletter contain lots of valuable plant information. They offer a one year guarantee on all their plants and their despatch and delivery times are amazing. My latest order was placed Friday lunchtime and delivered the following Monday morning, complete with planting guidance and care booklet.
All the plants I have purchased have been very well established and ready to grow.

Ordered Romneya Coulteri from Ballyrobert due to good pricing and it was despatched and arrived very quickly. Plant was very healthy and well packaged so undamaged on arrival. Received updates on despatch etc and appreciated the Bob Marley lyrics and sweeties 😉

Excellent speedy service as always. I really like the descriptions and helpful advice with planting out . I'm still very much at the beginning of a plant learning journey so feel am well supported with Ballyrobert Gardens. Would not choose plants from anyone else as there is real sense of care and consideration from them. The plants arrive in fantastic condition. They have replaced a few that did not survive the year with no quibbles.

I've used Ballyroberts Gardens a number of times over the past few years - typically because I'm looking for a specific variety of a specific plant. Here's what I've learnt:

Initially I was concerned about the fact that the nursery is based in Northern Ireland and that this could result in travel times/delays that might affect the condition of the plants when they arrived. In reality, all of the plants I've had from them have arrived in better condition than plants that have come from suppliers on the mainland.

They always seem have a great selection of choice varieties as opposed to the stuff that nurserymen find easy and profitable to grow.

The plants are reasonably priced compared to other suppliers - even with the flat rate £3.99 delivery (which for us is typically less that the cost of fuel to travel to a nursery).

They have elevated biodegradable plant packaging to an art form. The plant arrives in good condition, it gets a soak and goes in the ground. All the packaging then goes straight in the compost.

They do a good line in Plain English in all their communications - their "Planting Instructions" being a case in point. There's care and thought gone into this.

Not that I've ever needed to use it, but it's reassuring to know that they offer a 1 year plant guarantee.

Buying plants form Ballyroberts always feels a visit to an old-school plant nursery - good plants raised and sold by knowledgeable and helpful staff. My kind of nursery.

Bought 42 small plants online and they arrived within days which is impressive at this time of year. Well packed and all in good condition. 3 plants were missing but customer service was very good and sent them out as soon as I contacted them. I will definitely use them again. Just a very big thank you to you all at Ballyrobert Gardens for your very prompt attention to my order which was placed on 18th April and arrived to me on the 22nd April. The plants were in perfect condition and extremely well packed in fully recyclable packaging. Healthy plants, expertly packaged and promptly delivered. I love Ballyrobert's house style: whimsical but authoritative at the same time.

I really cannot fault this company, they are great to buy from and it feels as though you are buying from a company that really cares about plants and their customers. I have bought from them several times now and each time they are of super quality, good value, speedy delivery and carefully packed. I also appreciate their recyclable packaging, no spending ages peeling off plastic tape from the cardboard before putting in the recycle bin. I turn to them now as default when I want something and will most definately be buying again. Well done all of you.

I have bought many plants from Ballyrobert Gardens over the years - firstly on eBay and now from their own website. It is such a pleasure to buy from them as they send out super plants at record breaking speed, paying careful attention to quality and packing. This is how excellent sellers should be - faultless - and the sweet touch of the messages and Love Hearts are the icing on a perfect cake. I love buying from them!

I ordered Monday evening and my plants arrived Thursday lunchtime. The plants are so healthy and they were perfectly packed. All the packaging was recyclable or compostable, happy days. Inside was a lovely personalised note and a small packet of love hearts. What service.

I've been ordering from Ballyrobert for years and they never cease to bring a smile to my face with their warmth and generosity. What are rare joy to find a company that responds with such care to every order, big or small. And they keep investing in customer experience - after all this time they are still putting little sweeties in the box with your plants and a kind handwritten note, and now the cutest and most accessible care guide leaflet with a little caterpillar on it!
The plants are excellent quality and well chosen for the uk, and the website is fab, but it's the warmth and accessibility I love most of all - Ballyrobert is such an encouragement for everyone to experience the joy of plants!
