I loved using this bracelet a couple of years ago, BUT now I can’t even access my app to sync my bracelet and the website is down as well… now I just wasted $100 for nothing..

The Ava bracelet is reimbursed by thousands of companies. For women who are planning for pregnancy, actively trying, or just want to learn more about their cycles. The female body has been ignored by science for far too long. Ava aims to be a long-term companion for women, providing data-driven and scientifically proven insights along all stages of their reproductive lives. Women want a better understanding of their bodies. Ava provides it by conducting women’s health research, developing innovative products based on that research, and educating to ensure the findings are accessible to all women. Our flagship product, the Ava bracelet, was launched in the US in July 2016, and is now sold worldwide. Worn only during sleep, it provides women with real-time, personalized information about fertility, pregnancy, and general health. The Ava bracelet is the first and only FDA-cleared wearable device that is clinically proven to identify both the opening and closing of the fertile window, letting you know your five best days to try for a baby. Just wear the Ava Bracelet at night to see your five best days to conceive in real time. Ava takes you beyond ovulation day, so you can use your full fertile window to increase your chances of pregnancy. How Ava Conceive works: There are six days a cycle when it's possible to get pregnant. Ava Conceive is clinically proven to recognize five of them. It's easy. Wear Ava to sleep The Ava bracelet collects continuous data while your body is at rest. Wake up and sync In the morning, sync your bracelet to the app to instantly see your results. See your most fertile days Ava Conceive pinpoints your five best days to try for a baby as they're taking place. Track the most fertile days with the greatest accuracy Ava Conceive detects more fertile days than LH tests, which only predict one or two. It works more precisely than a period-tracker app or fitness wearable, which can only estimate your fertile window. And it delivers results in real time, unlike the retrospective temperature method. Avoid fuss and mess With Ava Conceive there’s no need to wake up early to take your temperature or remember to pee on a stick. Just wear the bracelet at night and sync with the app in the morning to see your fertility status in real time. Follow your cycle phases and keep tabs on your health Ava Conceive tracks physiological signals that act as markers for your fluctuating hormone levels. This allows it to detect—not simply predict—which phase of the menstrual cycle you’re in. In addition to fertility tracking, Ava Conceive displays health parameters like temperature, sleep, physiological stress, and resting pulse rate—letting you know when you’re in the best place to make a baby. Track your pregnancy When you get pregnant, continue using Ava Conceive to follow your progress with graphs, trend analysis, and week-by-week content for the whole nine months.

Ava band did absolutely nothing to help…
Ava band did absolutely nothing to help me get pregnant. It predicted my fertile window wrong every single month. Had I known this, it probably wouldn't have taken me 9 months to get pregnant. I ended up using opks to determine my window and ovulation days, and again it was no where near what Ava predicted.
Poor quality
Prone to defects, bad customer service
Terrible customer service and prone to defects — not the added stress you want when trying to conceive! The band of mine broke within a few months (they did replace), and after five months, the bracelet stopped working; randomly started working again for a week; then stopped working again. Have not heard from customer service for five days and there’s no way to call them — extremely frustrating when it keeps breaking during the potential for fertile window!! Do yourself a favor and buy a different product (like a temp drop) instead.
The bracelet does not work reliably
The bracelet does not work reliably. Even if I make sure it is charged and tight to my wrist, it does not always work or sync data for the whole night.
Good experience thus far
Good experience thus far. Bracelet could be easier to put on and more than one night battery life would be nice. Also would like to be able to see all of my parameters in pregnancy mode.
The app is ok..
The app is ok... And the bracelet is completely useless!!!!!!!
I have had it for years and it has never fully worked.

Overall the idea of the Ava bracelet is…
Overall the idea of the Ava bracelet is great as well as the data it collects. I will say that the data is not a 100% accurate and there are far more resourceful things like Proov in my 2 1/2 years of trying to conceive. I purchased two bracelets and the bands broke on both within months. Ava doesn’t offer replacements bands or bracelets unless you purchase the extended warranty. Also, I would get an error message every morning I would sync. Even reaching out to support with no resolve other than to unpaid and pair again. I would suggest doing your research and weighing your options since there are now so many readily available for those ttc.

Learned about my body with Ava
I love the Ava bracelet! It has helped me learn about my body and support my decision to discontinue oral contraceptives and use natural family planning. We have gotten pregnant twice using the insights provided by the Ava bracelet. Loved being able to purchase it with my HSA.
Pregnant on the first try
Pregnant on the first try! This is my second time using the Ava bracelet and I got pregnant after only using it for one month (just like with my previous pregnancy). The ovulation sticks didn’t seem to help determine my fertile window but the bracelet does. I love how accurate and easy it is to use. Worth every penny!
Always on, always transmitting
Good nighttime temperature tracking (and other metrics) but incredibly bad Bluetooth/power design. You can't turn this device OFF, meaning it is a) always transmitting Bluetooth (this is unnecessary except when you actually sync data) and b) constantly being "on" drains the battery meaning you have to charge this for 1hr+ every day. Fine when you're at home but if you're travelling this is a nightmare as you have to unpack and charge an hour before going to bed! I have often had to stay awake waiting for this thing to be charged enough to wear for the night. Crazy bad design. Bluetooth and the device itself should be capable of being turned OFF!
Edit a year on: the charging gets even worse over time.

Wrong calculation and bad battery life
even though I measure my bbt as one should do, the app says that my ovulation comes 2-3 days after false ovulation from ovulation test. the battery is only enough for 1 night, so you have to lie down and charge it every day and if you forget to charge it, it does not have time to fully charge in an hour.

Easy app to use
Easy app to use, easy band to wear at night. Used it consistently for about the first year and then more sporadically but always entered my cycles. I used LH strips and cervical mucus to "prove" the app and it was within 24 Hours of my most fertile time every single month. Got a positive pregnancy test this month!!
I don't think it's worth the $280
I don't think it's worth the $280; price point should be lowered as it still kind of feels like it's a pilot. It doesn't stay charged very long; the data is slow to download. Once it's there, I'm not seeing trends in the three months I tracked so don't really know what's normal. Can there be an overlay line of "averages?" My fitbit tracks similar information and stays charged a lot longer, and it wasn't event half the price.

This bracelet gave me a better…
This bracelet gave me a better understanding of my fertile days and was able to get pregnant in 2 months
Very clunky app
Very clunky app. Frustrating features - like if you switch to pregnancy mode it doesn’t remember start of cycle date and hides skin temperature. Also no grid lines on the graphs and no ability to zoom in on them, meaning pinpointing eg shifts in temperature is challenging relative to other more basic apps. This doesn’t require intelligent algorithms just a bit of basic housekeeping!!! Please please please invest a bit of time on basic UX for the app!

Don't Waste Your Money
I would advise no one make the mistake of purchasing the Ava bracelet whether it be via amazon or via their website. Save your money. It is a scam. The product stopped working after 3 days. It miscalculated my temperature during the 3 days it was working. It overestimated my actually body temperature. It fails to sync with the Ava phone app. It does not hold a full charge therefore it does not collect data overnight even after the bracelet was fully charged prior to use. They ask that you set aside time to charge it for 3-4 hours prior to bedtime but not charge it all day. I’m not sure who has the time to set aside to charge this product for a particular period prior to their bedtime. Unfortunately, after having charged the product before use followed by wearing it for the appropriate amount of time and then trying to sync it in the morning, my device still wasn’t collecting data for the 4 hours that we are instructed to wear it cause the battery didn’t even last beyond a few hours.
In addition, their customer service is not responsive in fixing their errors. See their response below to one of my concerns.
“When it comes to the syncing compliance- if issues has been reported on a particular day by a customer, we do not take this into consideration later in checking the requirements to claim the money back guarantee after one year period.”
With regards to their response above, it is unfair that despite my compliance with wearing the bracelet and trying to get it to sync without any data having been collected, my compliance would not be accounted for to satisfy their refund guarantee.

Helped me get pregnant
I used Ava for both of my last two pregnancies. It was fairly accurate at predicting my ovulation and giving me the best days to try to conceive
My experience with Ava (Not the greatest!)
Ava took a long time to even act like it wanted to get to know me.
It missed my ovulation each month and I used it for 6months.
Ava Literally ignored every piece of information I put into its app and did its own calculations from thin air and got it wrong each time this made me have to use other apps to get better data.
Great thing about Ava is that it took away the stress of temping each morning.
But had I have known that I would only be using Ava to read my bbt I would have just bought a cheap temp watch instead of spending £200+ .
Personally I wouldn’t recommend this BUT I guess Ava may work different for other people just not me.
