Easy. I felt confident that the process was valid throughout

Don’t waste your time or money. I received 4 calls on my car priced $1,000 lower than any dealer or other ads and only received 4 scam calls from idiots playing games. I finally just sold it to a dealer. Additionally I just reviewed some of the reviews and some of the positive ones are from names of people that tried to scam me. One I noticed was a guy trying to get me to ship my car then pay like the reviewer that had it happen to him and never got paid for his car.

the transparency in the process and the continual communications between buyer and seller and AT was very important. knowing where everything stood through the process was a winning recipe

Tried Placing my ad twice and never posted. No contact number, just an online form that was never answered. Absolute Worst company I've ever dealt with.

Terrible all the contacts were scams, all wanted to communicate off app. Vetting for buyers is BS. I sold on FB marketplace for free could have saved $ by not listing here. Auto trader has been taken over by dealers

Skeptical at first but it was such a nice and easy process. Private seller was a cool kid just looking to unload a car he doesn't drive. No dealership shenanigans either, auto trader did my registration & title for what the dmv charges. Awesome 😎

If people knew how seemless Autotrader is, everyone would use it! This was so easy. Autotrader handled the money so that there was no chance of fraud. My buyer got a low mileage car in excellent shape for thousands less than a dealer would charge and I got a lot more for the car than the dealer offered. There were a few potential scammers but Autotrader filtered them out quickly (don't go off platform).

Autotrader is the worst place to sell a car anymore. It's total trash. It's impossible to sell a car there and the communication process is horrid.
Facebook is better at this point.

This is the second time I've bought a car through Autotrader. I have found such great deals and vehicles from private sellers over dealerships. I don't think I will ever go back to a dealership. Auto trader helps take care of everything--payment, exchange of money, keys, vehicle, providing you the title/documentation, etc.

My experience using Autotrader was great! Their communication was professional and efficient, and they responded to any concerns I had right away. I am not a fan of trying to sell my vehicles, but I would highly recommend Autotrader as a medium to do so.

Only scammers replied. Huge waste of my time/money. Save your time and money, unless you want to get replies saying "text me, don't use email reply". Not one legit ask about my car for sale. Huge disappointment.

It was easy to list my vehicle for sale on the website. I had to call customer service to verify a question that I had and they were wonderful on the phone.

Vann was just as it was advertised and the seller was outstanding. He was willing to work with me based on some unorthodox concerns. I had knee surgery so I was unable to go myself to pick up the van, but I had my Mechanic go down, view it and test it out and everything worked out great. Andrew was so willing to do things my way and very accommodating. This is my second experience using private seller, and I would certainly would never have a problem using it again or recommending it to someone else.

It was nice to have a 3rd party to initiate and confirm payment before I handed the keys over to the buyer. Buyer did have some technical difficulties submitting payment but was able to finally get it to work. The rest of the process was pretty smooth and agents were responsive when calling to see if we could get the sale processed immediately. Overall good experience and appreciate having a trusted entity to facilitate selling my vehicle.

Full of scammers and bots. This is not the Autotrader of old.

Autotrader.com is a big mess of everything. They do not remember your password, difficult to simply establish an account. After that, setting up an ad with photos and descriptions is next to impossible and come back later to find everything deleted, no record of your listing, then, once you DO manage to get your ad done, you need to provide copies of everything from your birth certificate o a blood sample. Dont waste your time! Sell faster and easier on Facebook or simply a sign. What a joke! Not too mention fees!

This was the worst experience with an online commerce platform I have ever had in my life. I ended up selling my vehicle with a free Facebook Marketplace ad. All inquiries and interactions were with legitimate people interested in my vehicle. Autotrader on the other hand was 100% scammers and fraudsters. Not a single legitimate human interested in the vehicle. This platform is pure garbage. Save your money. Don't waste your time. I will never again.
