AutoTrader hit a home run with their Private Seller Network! I started the process on Friday morning and the deal was approved and financed the same day! The safeguards AutoTrader put in place to prevent fraud and theft are amazing. I started the process on Friday and my vehicle is being delivered to me today [Monday]…. More importantly, without me having to go outside my house to start and complete the entire buying process!!!

From finding the vehicle and reaching out to the private seller, to making the offer, completing the application, working with my local DMV, and finalizing the transaction—your team has been there the entire way making it easy for me. I did not realize how easy it would be to actually purchase a vehicle from a private seller. The experience has been amazing, and I would definitely do it all over again if I had to...

Once I registered the communication with the seller was easy and direct, and the process was smooth. I will use it again.

Posted an ad for $50 and honestly, I’d give negative five stars if I could. Every single inquiry I received was a scam — not most, not almost all, but 100%. When I called Autotrader, all they said was “sorry, nothing we can do” and refused a refund. Total waste of time.

I was told the majority of scams come from unverified accounts and that Autotrader can filter them out, but they simply don’t. Again, a complete waste of time. At this point, I’d be better off parking my car on the street with a “for sale” sign.

I liked the experience because I felt safe selling our vehicle, you provided all the safe guards of selling, amazing how many scams there are out there, when I finally had the right buyer it was really smooth and easy, you provided all the steps.

Had a great experience, very good communication and vehicle sold very quickly.

Overall it wasnt a bad experience. It did add levels of bueurocracy and approval to the process which took longer. If it's a high risk car sale, maybe it's worth it. But for low risk, im not sure.

The hole process is so easy and simple for the seller and buyer. Take away a lot of the stress and anxiety of selling your vehicle

Clear, simple process all the way through the entire selling transaction. I appreciated the security of payment and vehicle transfer.

They replied to any questions I had quickly. When I called them , answered the phone quickly and always supplied answers. I would use Auto trader again if I was looking for a vehicle in the future.

My car was listed for about 6 weeks, and in the time I was contacted by 20+ scammers, and no real buyers. I ended up trading my car in to a dealer, so I got zero benefit from listing with Autotrader. What a waste.

Nothing but scammers respond to ads. You will be paying to be a bulls eye for low life scammers. Horrible company, do not pay these people, they can't stop the scammers ( and don't really care to).

There's so much fraud now, there no way to sell a used car, except through Autotrader.

Amazing professionalism and communication every step of the way. Autotrader made it very easy and took care of everything efficiently and effectively. If i had one suggestion would be to try to filter scammers trying to lure sellers outside the app.

Good communication with buyers. Easy transfer of ownership .

Too many spam shoppers, 7:1 versus bona fide shoppers.
