Seemed great up front but a scam 4 years in.

Seemed great up front, which may explain the 5 star reviews. Bought the top of the line tech with a promise of lifetime servicing for $10k. Speakers needed replacing every few months. Water splashes stopped them charging for 2 weeks during a 4 week overseas trip. External bluetooth device will not work with my laptop. 4 years in they tell me the warranty is expiring and the free servicing will stop soon, tried to upsell me to more modern tech. The lifetime servicing is a scam.

I ordered a speaker for my hearing…

I ordered a speaker for my hearing aids. I arrived in France, Monday and order it at the same time. I chose Audika because they said they could deliver within 24 hours. After an entire week of staying in Paris, I never received my speaker. I could barely communicate with my friends there and when I contacted audika they said I could not get a refund and they would “look into the situation” and never texted me back. I have requested a refund, but they have not answered my last couple of emails.

Very ordinary customer service at the Helensvale store, then called contact center to raise a concern who then transferred me back to the same store.

No contact for 2 weeks and then when i reached out it was like i should be happy as they are replacing the hearing aids, i took them in for the wax plug to be looked at, they were working fine and now all of a sudden there was something wrong with them and i should be ecstatic on getting new ones.

BEWARE ringing the 1800 number

I rang the 1800 number and got a person who obviously did not have good hearing, he got my name spelt wrong, my address spelt wrong. Then went on to suggest I needed a family member to accompany me for my hearing test, just so it would help the Audiologist with pronunciation of words etc, then he wanted my companions full name; D.O.B. address, M/F. I am on the phone for over 20 mins, then later that day when I get an sms confirming my appointment I get another message confirming a hearing test appt for my companion. This is when I realized this is a very deceptive and dishonest way of getting more customers through their doors. You have to be on your guard everywhere today for rorts like this.

Unnecessary expense

I had my free hearing test with Audika and was diagnosed as needing hearing assistance. I was offered a ‘massive discount’ on a ‘state of the art hearing aid’ It cost me $6000. I used it three times. An independent test diagnosed me as having some hearing impairment but nothing that would require a hearing aid. Be warned. The warranty is five years and after that you will need a new set. I fell for the sales pitch. Don’t be gullible like me. Shop around and be informed.

Bunch of amateurs...

1. They screwed up the appointment. About 2 weeks ago we set up an appointment on the phone with a customer service lady at the shop. Of course, they did not write down the appointment and the specialist supposed to receive my father was not even around. My dad is 99 and has difficulty walking. but who cares if he has to come back another time, right?

2. They scrambled to find someone else while the shop was getting full of patients. Alas, they needed a login and password from the previous operator (from 5 years ago - we are old clients) who had received my dad. They did not have it, and therefore no-one could see my father for a check-up (until they dug up the password from somewhere!!).

3. I am not even talking about the receptionist and her cocky attitude...

WHAT A BUNCH OF LOSERS!!

PS: the lady that took our appointment 2 weeks ago certainly did not need a password to find my dad's old file while on the phone, which included all the specs and invoice from 2019 for the hardware he is currently using...

"Did you hear that?"

We paid six thousand dollars for some hearing aids but they could not be modified to be comfortable in my partners ear canals after four or five attempts by the audiologist. We returned the hearing aids but Audika have refused to return our six thousand dollars and they have not yet provided any suitable hearing aids. They even suggested that we might have lost them and why not claim for them against our home and contents insurance policy, providing us with a quote for a replacement cost of ten thousand dollars. Perhaps they thought the prospect of gaining an extra four thousand dollars would tempt me to make the claim.
I said that I would not be part of a fraud such as this. I am left wondering if I should approach the head office of Audika in Sydney, Australia but perhaps this review, if you notify them, will be enough.
