Updated - You need to avoid this company like the plague!!!!!

If there was a league table for “Non-Compliant Alarms” and ”Poor after Sales" AS Electrical and Security Ltd would do the double and champion it forever.

I approached AS Electrical and Security Limited to upgrade my alarm system due to being burgled in 2016 and the fact they were SSAIB accredited gave me confidence that they could be trusted.

I could not have been more wrong, but when a company lies to the Police you have no chance.

Once they take your money and eventually complete your installation you will end up with a non-compliant security system. They abuse their SSAIB accreditation taking a cowboy approach and using non-graded equipment These guys never respond in timely fashion, you have to repeatedly call and leave messages and pretty much beg for assistance for them to attend & resolve faults.

Below is a snapshot from an audit report letter following an inspection of my system from a reputable / legitimate SSAIB registered firm.

Following our site visit to the above site we have found the following breaches of installation guidelines
For a Grade 2 Alarm Installation
All equipment fitted should be grade to at least Grade 2. If an item fitted to the system is not Grade 2 then the whole system conforms to the lowest grade item fitted. The two major breaches of standards are listed below.

1. Power supplies
Auxiliary power supplies fitted on site are not Grade 2. The power supplies are probably access control power supplies. The power supplies do not have tamper circuits or fault outputs that must be connected to the alarm system.

2. Signalling unit
The signalling unit is a Redcare Secure dual path. The signalling unit was fitted outside of the control panel wedged against a plumbing waste pipe and the control panel. The secure unit should be fitted in a tampered power supply or in the control panel.

With the above fitted as described we would not be able to give the system a Grade 2 certificate or apply for police response. Police response requires a SSAIB/NSI certificate that states the system has been installed to the approved guidelines.

The owner Adam Rust and his counterpart Clive Kennett are playing with fire, it will not be long before this company and their reputations disappear.
