Ordered something for same day delivery…

Ordered something for same day delivery didn’t bother turning up next day. I called them bright and early for them to reschedule. My delivery was meant to come between four and six. I’ve had to call them up and say the order is not here yet. They then changed it to 7 to 9. It was my best friend‘s birthday and I was relying on this same day delivery Nonsense that was talking about.

I would give them 0 stars if I could

I would give them 0 stars if I could. Customer service shocking. Im a year on into my complaint with still no contact, no resolution. You've stolen my voucher! Do not shop here at all! Unless your 100% certain you will not need to return. Becuase they do not follow legal rules! Disgusting company. Web chat is useless ive been waiting for a 24hour call back for a year. Tried in store argos who said all the info customer services have given me is false. I have the proof and screenshots. Its laughable. No head office to contact. Your a joke!

A truly appalling series of events

A truly appalling series of events which is still completely unaddressed. We ordered a range cooker on December 24th. We arranged for delivery on January 6th and paid for collection of the old appliance on the Argos website. As a Gas appliance in a tenanted property, it requires a certified Gas Engineer to disconnect the old appliance, and reconnect the new. We arranged this for the 6th, having paid for a guaranteed delivery time.

The appliance did not arrive, so I called to be told to wait as they were running late. After being on site for 8 hours, they confirmed the delivery was not coming... and could not come for a WEEK. So, the engineer had to be called back to reconnect the old appliance at my expense. A week later, after a 3rd engineer visit to disconnect the old appliance, a van showed up to collect the old appliance... with no new appliance. Unbelievable. We did not trust to let it go without seeing the new cooker.

3 DAYS later, on our third day of sitting in the property waiting, the van turned up with the cooker but, somehow, no "lifting equipment". As to how they got the cooker in the van but couldn't get it out, we have no clue.

The next day, the van returned with both cooker and lifting equipment! However they took one (a third) look at the old cooker, and said they couldn't take such a large appliance. To be clear, this is a like for like replacement right down to the make and model, so we cannot begin to understand how they didn't anticipate the old appliance would be 100cm, as the new one they were bringing was identical in size, shape and weight.

So after 4 full days off work waiting for deliveries, 4 paid Gas Engineer visits and a total of 7 days with no oven or hob for the tenants over the course of a month, we were left with both the old and new cookers.

I was originally lied to and told complaints could only be made IN WRITING to a postal address. After calling them out on this they did admit their staff are accessible by email and phone. This was an insulting lie.

I am STILL waiting for a refund of the extra engineer visits (which have been promised), as well as the old appliance collection fee which they took from me nearly 70 days ago. After some initial promising email communications, they went silent for THREE WEEKS, finally and only responding to my letter of proposed legal action after I contacted Citizens Advice. This gave them 14 days to respond and they haven't after 13 days.

I have used Argos for many years, over multiple stores for both large and small purchases. It is such a shame they have let this £639 transaction linger and fester so painfully, utterly failing to regain any respect for owning their series of mistakes.

No stars

No stars, if I could, I am off to trading standards, this company should be forced to close, selling dangerous electrical items, only a matter of time before someone looses their lives to their faulty electrical goods and they couldn't care less, supposed have collected my rubbish today, but true to their incompetence, they haven't turned up WOW

Today 26/02/2026 I went to return a…

Today 26/02/2026 I went to return a phone that I am not happy with it is very slow I bought the phone on 09/02/2026 which is less than 30 days which is the legal period! The manager of Argos Kev refused to refund me the amount for the phone because it was opened and the tape was peeled off what is this policy of yours?? how should I open the box to take out the phone I am not a magician! The phone came and without being covered with a protective plastic bag for the phone it looked to me that the phone had already been returned! and if I had bought the iphone 17 pro max 512gb which is priced at £1399 ?? the next phone would have been the iphone 17 pro max but now I have given up because it means throwing my money away!! I also want to say that your manager Kev at Argos in Sainsbury's Gatehouse Aylesbury behaved very arrogantly and even told me `` leave `` is this how you train your managers?? This manager checked the Redmi A5 phone for about 20 minutes and finally decided to nag me that I had peeled off the tape on the phone box to get the phone out!! When I asked the manager Kev how to get the phone out without peeling off the tape from the box, he told me it's not my problem, I hope you can help in this dispute!

To try and get in touch with Argos is…

To try and get in touch with Argos is impossible.
They keep asking you to press numbers and in the end hang up on you.
They sent me £8 off email if I spent £80 and this voucher expires tomorrow but when I try to redeem it - it says already expired.
So frustrating.

Damaged bed check items before assembly

Tried to get in touch with argos customer services and was unable to do from there stupid ai app and just kept getting cut off after a minute or so telling me to go to a chat line,
I don't want to talk to chat line I want a real person,
The habitat bed you sold me is damaged and argos have tried to cover it up by glueing it back together,
It's on the headboard and when I put the dowell in the broken peice come out with a lot of glue that had been holding it together so really not happy with them at trying to decieve a customer,
So before trying to assemble your product make sure you check your items thoroughly or you could be left like me with a damaged product

No delivery, Very poor

Very poor, If I could give zero stars I would, high value item not delivered on the specific date booked on their system, they also use a chat assistant which is pointless with no real customer care. Will never use Argos again.

Argos should really be shut down

Argos should really be shut down, there website is full of false advertising they sell you 1 thing and another item turns up they have been investigated by asa before yet still commit false advertisement they do not allow true unbiased reviews, I recently purchased an Oral B IO9 in Rose quartz Luxe but twice in a row they sent me aqua marine.

I also checked put air purifiers and one of them just said "phillips air purifier/humidifier" without a model number or name, I checked the questions and the person who answered stated it was 1 model however the image on the website showed a different product so I asked a question and another person told me it was a different item yet again which is ridiculous for a country wide retailer argos needs investigating badly.

If I could leave zero I would

If I could leave zero I would, we ordered a fridge freezer for delivery and took the day of work.We got a text message to say it would be delivered in the next 60 minutes so emptied the old one and got it outside for removal only to then get another message saying delivery had been cancelled. After waiting for the call centre to open we phoned them and it was confirmed it had been cancelled and the next slot would be in a week so another day of work. The reason for cancellation was the van was to full well I’m sorry you knew a week ago about this delivery to cancel the delivery of a fridge freezer one hour before delivery is totally unacceptable.

Would give a ZERO if an option.

Would give a ZERO if an option.
Moved house on the 30th Jan 26, ordered sofa, footstool, king size bed, dining room table and chairs 6+ weeks in advance to be delivered between 10-2 saturday 31st Jan. I live in a town centre with a large loading bay directly infront of my property. I watched the Argos van pull up and within seconds drove off and reported that they couldnt deliver because of traffic! called “customer services” and they apologises, put me on hold whilst they spoke to the scheduler to see what was going on. They could do nothing about the failed delivery but could offer me another date of the 4th Feb. I had to be back at work, i said that was no good. The lady i spoke to said she will call be back within the hour to update me with a resolution. She didn’t. called back, same scenario, put on hold countless times. Asked to speak to a manager. Without hesitation so told me that all managers were on other calls (why aren’t i surprised!) the lady assured me that it is managers policy to call me back within 24 HOURS!! Low and behold, i waited the 24 hours and no call! so, i called back again. you guessed it, same scenario. The lady said that i have now lost my suggested slot of the 4th of Feb but they can now offer the 20th. I cancelled my order. Funnily enough, that was instant! I then got a txt confirmation of the cancellation with the refund anount due in 5 days. The refund amount was £186 short. I phoned them again, same scenario, was put on hold for another 35 mins. The lady came back to me saying that the reason the refund was short was because they have now “double discounted” one of the products that i paid full price for. ABSOLUTELY NOT! i have paid full price for an unfulfilled order and failed delivery. She wasn't going to refund the delivery charge either. Without being sarcastic i reminded the lady that the goods were not delivered despite the fact that i saw the Argos van pull up. I was put on hold again for a further 10 minutes (looking forward to my phone bill, approx 3 hrs on the phone to a premium number) she confirmed that they will refund the difference within 5 working days. I asked for a text confirmation for which she said she was unable to and if i don’t have the difference + the outstanding £2k refunded within 5 working days to call back! I would not even buy a saucepan from Argos and they have a store for my convenience on my high street. ARGOS is no longer the reputable company it once was. Such a shame. Please, and this is only my advice. Please do not order anything that you will desperate to receive and plan your day around. I have no sofa, no bed and no dining room table. Not the best start for a woman starting on her own.

Wrong fridge freezer delivered.

Argos delivered the wrong fridge/freezer to my flat. The white delivery sticker had the correct details (Fridgemaster) but was attached to a BUSH labelled appliance! Stupidity or illiteracy? It took Argos a week to rectify their mistake. I am an old bloke and had to ask my daughter to help me repackage the BUSH. She had to find someone to babysit her child. I explained this in my review to Argos but received no response. Argos? Never again.

Ordered a Garmin watch which was in stock at £199
Delivery confirmed for 3days later store collection.
On the day of collecting email saying item not despatched and to wait for confirmation.
Checked in store and got no information
Phoned three times to try to get delivery update- nothing
Then noticed price of item in store had increased by £100 and was showing in stock
Again no update from Argos
Tried to complain and only to be told
I can get refund once collection end date is reached which it g one week after the original delivery date..
Think very carefully before using this once great company 👎

Order cancelled for no reason by Argos

On message told me to reorder which I did virtually straight away.
Now showing two items for delivery by Yodel not sure if I’m getting two of that item or it’s in two parts cause there’s no way of checking the tracking number against the order. I phoned up and they tried to reassure me that the other order was cancelled due to stock shortages which is strange when I managed to re-order it again straight away. Hopefully, I won’t get two of the same item. you used to be really good Argos what’s going on?
