Argos Trade-In Reviews 

I elected to trade-in my Apple Watch and receive my trade-in payment via Bank transfer. I sent my Apple Watch to them using their pre-paid packaging and received confirmation of its receipt and condition within a couple of days.
The company then sent an email stating payment had been made and it should be in my bank account within 2 hours. By the end of that day payment still hadn’t been received so I emailed their customer services the following morning.
They replied confirming that payment had indeed been made so I asked them what bank account it had been paid in to, they provided my bank account name, the last 4 digits of my account no and the sort code.
I then realised to my horror the last digit of the sort code was wrong and realised I had made a mistake and had mis-typed it when I originally filled out my watch and bank details.
I contacted them again and provided the correct sort code and asked if they could help retrieve my payment.
Within a couple of hours I received a notification of a payment into my bank from my bank app and to my relief the money was present and correct.
This was service above and beyond from “MTR Group” which is the company Argos use for their trade-in service and I would have no hesitation in using their trade-in service again and can thoroughly recommend them.

Too little money offered and l didnt really accept your reason for the low offer. I would have prefered you to offer the lowest amount right at the start and save us both the trouble.

The initial trade in price, seemed good. So off went my old phone. The price I got was less than half, but better than nothing and they would recycle the product. Good work.

I only saw the advertisement in passing but I thought why not try it.The packaging arrived within two days and they kept in touch to see if I was still interested. I couldn’t send it back quickly as I am not tech savvy as my grandchildren say and had to wait until one of them could clear the phone. I posted it special delivery (next day) received a message from them that they had received it and would let me know when they were transferring the money. It was in my account that day 👍.Brilliant service!!

Thankyou I was really happy to get the trade in for my husbands old phone … I had decided to get him a new phone for his birthday and the dosh I got from the old phone means I can go to Argos and buy a bread maker …. 🤣🤣❤️

The process of getting a valuation was easy. The price offered was reasonable and in line with Apple’s offer.(for an old iPad). It was very simple to post the product and I was kept informed once the product had been received.

Really straight forward process with all packaging supplied. Just dropped at the Post Office and valuation was paid within a few days. Can’t fault it.

Didn’t give clear instructions for shipping, and had to make contact to clarify postage would cover cost as packaging requested was far too small for item being sent.

Updated on 14th July. Contacted by service to discuss issues expressed above. Excellent conversation expressing an understanding and looking to correct these issues in future. Restored faith. Thank you.
