Manchester Airport APCOA customer service
Used APCOA through Manchester Airport for the first time. Easy to set up an account and easy to make payment. Obviously, lots of views on actual amount charged to park or drop-off here, or any other UK airport. However, having set up the process I wanted to check everything was okay being the first payment to be made. Ellie provided excellent prompt service, explaining the procedure. Convenient service to drop-off, albeit that with the taxi's the speed in which to can reach a space and exit determines your time, not the minutes it actually takes to 'drop-off' ! My review is based upon the customer service by Ellie in answering the question I had.

Outdated car park
Outdated car park, very restricted height, they do warn you. Not easy to manoeuvre around. Not really suitable for the modern size of cars now.
Paid online before I went and then found out I could get 50% discount from the travelodge we stayed overnight at.
Would avoid if I went to Chester again.

Spaces were an acceptable pitch
Spaces were an acceptable pitch, signage of the levels wasn’t good, also the exit wasn’t signed so lots of cars took a left onto a dead end, needs signage to show which way to turn onto the road at the exit. Clean enough and lighting ok, lift worked.

Price is good for the week, but find the Skydome very dark. Some floors need the lighting replaced.

Parking charge was issued despite prebooking parking
The parking spaces at the Northern Quarter car park in Manchester were very tight for a larger car. I found the staff I spoke to to confirm I was ok to have arrived slightly after the prebooked time very friendly. As was the security guard who supported me when I arrived back to my car to find a parking charge notice had been issued, which was less positive! Unfortunately, there seems to be an issue with parking prebooked online through Apcoa not being visible. This was really frustrating and added unnecessary stress to our day out. On a positive, the parking price using the special offer I found was reasonable for city centre parking for up to 12 hours :)
Let's hope Manchester City Council accept my appeal and cancel the charge, otherwise I will certainly not have been cheap as I will need to take the appeal to court.
