I ordered 2 camera batteries from the Aliexpress website. The seller is CITYORK global batteries who have been useless and do care about my issue, give generic replies and do not answer questions.
The items were despatched quickly.
They were collected by Evri in the UK, for delivery to a parcelshop on 16.07.26.
They never arrived. I contacted Evri several times, see my review of Evri.
After contacting Aliexpress several times through their message system and asking them to contact Evri for a parcel update i kept getting the same message, parcel in transit. They would not contact Evri.
After emailing the Evri CEO on 22.07.26 i received an email from the executive office on Saturday 25.07.26 saying as there had been no tracking update for over a week they have declared the Aliexpress parcel lost.
I copied the email and sent it to Aliexpress and CITYORK global batteries again, despite the seller agreeing the parcel was lost and he would authourise a refund Aliexpress sent me an email saying as the parcel is it transit i have to wait 39 days before they will issue a refund.
Evri cannot change the status of the parcel as it is lost so they cannot scan it,i was told, but surely a manual system should be in place as lost parcels are not rare.
Aliexpress is not being helpful, and CITYORK global batteries are not helping and sharing information with Aliexpress. CITYORK global batteries have not been any help at all. Trying to contact Aliexpress or CITYORK global batteries and speak to a person has been impossible so far.
UPDATE. response to your reply.
ALIEXPRESS say the right things but do not take any action to resolve my issues, in my opinion. I would be happy to be corrected.
I messaged the seller and uploaded emails from EVRI executive office saying the parcel is lost and for the seller to contact them on 25.07.26. If the seller has done this i cannot see any reason for you not to issue a refund asap. If the seller has not done this, why not. Also it would be helpful if i could reply to your emails instead of communicating on a review platform.
Further update.
Aliexpress customer services did contact me and i finally received full refund.
I am sure my review on Trustpilot helped Aliexpress contact me.
I have been shopping online for twenty plus years and i have never had such a struggle to get a refund.
I must have sent several dozen messages to Evri, Aliexpress and the seller over a two week period to get a refund for a parcel that was lost by Evri.
If companies want people to continue shopping online they need to be much more helpful to buyers when this sort of thin happens.

Beware of this site and what they get up to
I used to buy quite a lot in this site but not any more ..
Even when you order separate pieces from different stores they still send them out altogether in one parcel, so when you report one item not arriving they will insist that you’ve had the parcel as all the other items have same tracking number - WHAT A CON !
They then go on to insist you sending a video of opening the parcel to show you didn’t get it, who on earth videos every parcel they open !

TOTAL SCAM! AliExpress and their Polish warehouse stole my money! This is the SECOND window cleaning robot I bought from them, but it arrived completely defective. I used their official "Free Return" service and shipped it back via Speedy/DPD (Tracking number: 51254954427). I even had to pay 42.29 EUR out of my pocket for the shipping at the local courier office! DPD Poland officially confirmed that the package was successfully delivered and accepted at their warehouse in Mszczonów. However, the warehouse lied to AliExpress that the return was incorrect, and my dispute for Order ID: 3074116270007658 was unfairly closed! They stole my 171.05 EUR refund AND my 42.29 EUR shipping fee! Absolute thieves, cheating a loyal repeat customer! I want my full refund immediately!

Apparently if an item is missing from a bundled order they will use the proof that the Package was delivered to avoid refunding you, they refuse to understand when you chat with an agent that the package was delivered, but it contained many purchased items and only one was missing. They respond in the most rediculous way by asking you to send a photograph of the problem, how do you send a photo of a missing item. they have all the package information and the Tracking number because that is what they used as proof that th Package was delivered, but they asked me to send photos showing all the information on the front of the package and the Tracking number?
This company are criminals, they have no intention of refunding you for missing items and use every trick in the book to avoid it, like asking you to supply impossible information.
I spent thirty minutes chatting with a company representative, it took me that long to make her understand the sittuation, in the end she assured me she understood and that I should be refunded for the missing item. She made me do the claim for the missing item again and assured me it would go through and that she would watch it and ensure it was paid. Today I get exactly the same crap from them saying they want further information like a photo proving I did not get the item. The system is designed to frustrate and make you give up. well they have won. I give up. I will never purchase from them again.
EDIT: The reply from Ali Express below is the kind of obfuscation I am talking about, it reads really good, like they want to help, but when you cantact them they ask you for all the same impossible information they did the first time, send a photo of the problem, ok I will go and take a picture of the missing package, send us all the information on the package and the Tracking number, which we already have because we sent it to you. all of this criminal and ridiculous stuff is coming from Bots, you will never win or get a refund because you are arguing with a machine
Edit 06/08/2026: Just as expected I received a request for all the information they already have and they want photographs of all the items I did receive? could someone explain to me what relevance photos of the items I did receive has on the claim for one being missing, when I have already twice and once to one of their chat agents given them the order number and picture and a link to the missing item. Same old obfuscation and put off tactics these criminals use to make you go away.

Absolutely fed up of these people. Ordered a lot of jewellery and 4 sealed envelopes were empty when opened. So I'm missing £68 of items. Informed aliexpress. They have asked for more information but how do i give more information for something not received? Completely nuts. I know for a fact it will come back denied. So I loose £68. The company know very well these were sent without items inside. I have ordered a lot from this seller to now be treated like dirt because of their incompetence. Why the hell would i lie when the order totalled over £260. Surely if i was lying i would have complained about more. Its no wonder they score low. Customer service is literally diabolical and you never get refunded. Even for missing items. So these companies can basically do what they want to your orders and know full well they will get away with it.
Surprise Surprise denied my claim. ****Apparently not enough evidence. How on earth do I give more evidence for missing items 🤔 so lost out on £68. Disgusting behaviour. All help from customer service is as much use as not trying. Despite their response as a reply I was right that I wouldn't receive a refund.

Today and after I provided two screenshots and informed the support agent that I contacted the algerie poste and they told me that the two parcels with tracking numbers RR022543468DZ, RR022543848DZ have arrived to destination to the seller china address even thought I have provided the formal receipts for both parcels with tracking numbers with bar code and algerie poste stamp , so to confirm if the seller pick up the two parcels I tried to contact china post and there is not translation support so I can check if the seller pickup or not the two parcels and I specificly asked to agent to tell the verification teams to try to call them just few minutes and received the bad email with we are unable to refund you I mean do they even read what you tell them ? do they even care about your shopping experience or you earning being lost with scammers such as the seller I made two order on his store, APPARENTLY they DON'T and I won't stop until I get this situation sorted.
Edit: I called and talked for hours to algerie poste all they say that the two parcels arrived to destination they didn't say anything else and they told me there is no other documents they can provide when I asked why my receipts are being refused they told me to ask for receipt replacement and I should send them again to your team, call china post and ask about the two parcels why you are not doing your job I tried to talk to them all chinese language no translation what else do you want me to do ???

AliExpress has lost it's magic
I've been using AliExpress since 2014, and it was my first choice for electronic components, and small household items. However a number of selling practices have been introduced recently that really put the customer on the back foot.
Many items are now advertised as Free shipping over £8.00, but cost less than £8 and only show a Max. 1 pcs/shopper so you never get the free shipping and are unable to bundle the item.
Also many items are displayed at a cheap price, but when you click onto the item, it turns out that the cheap price refers to something else, so is not the real price.
Both of these practices really detract from the shopping experience, I have now switched over to e-bay for some of my shopping.

O my..I took a pic of the fed ex delivery just in case because the box was delivered with a hole in it right at the point of severe damage. Come to find out they sent me the wrong fryer and beneath the hole on the box was the severe damage I just addressed. They responded to my request for a return with a request for a video unboxing to prove the damage as well as a request i line up labels on the box and all of these insane instructions as if I knew before I opened the box there was damage. As foolish as their request I could have technically staged an unboxing... but for a 123 or so dollar purchase I'll eat the loss and warn others. Because I refuse to stress myself out to force them into respecting their own policies. Think reputable like HD Loews walmart Amazon Wayfair etc...but if you choose ali express after my warning you knew the risks...you took the risks...you suffered the consequences....and you deserved what you got. Their response should prove what I just wrote. They'll thoroughly investigate. When have you ever attempted to return something from a company and they INVESTIGATED while the damaged item lay in your way unusable. INVESTIGATE? Amazon...Walmart..HD..Lowes...heck the local bodega...or restaurant will say just bring it here...we got you...or send you a label immediately and ask how you prefer to proceed...no questions no required answers no hoops to jump through. Read their response. Forget anything I've written and that is the answer to your impending experience when you buy something.

It used to be a decent place to buy small things and unusual gadgets. Not any more. The gadgets turn up faulty and when you try to return them, you loose on the postage. The customer care said that my receipt was wrong and nothing could convince them otherwise. Shame. Will never shop there again.
P.S. So after my feedback, AliExpress re-considered and re-studied my evidence and still decided not to compensate me postage fee. Heart ache and waste of time! One question to AliExpress - how much do you value your reputation if at all?

I had a very disappointing experience with AliExpress.
I ordered a bag, but they delivered the wrong item while I was away from home. As soon as I returned, I contacted customer service and explained the situation. They asked me to provide photos and videos as evidence, which I did. Despite submitting everything they requested, they later responded that I had not provided “valid evidence” and closed my case without resolving the issue or offering a refund or replacement.
As a customer, I feel this was unfair. If the evidence they requested was not sufficient, they should have clearly explained what additional proof was needed instead of simply closing the case.
Based on my experience, I encourage buyers to be cautious when ordering from AliExpress. If something goes wrong with your order, don’t assume you’ll receive fair support. My experience has left me feeling disappointed and without confidence in their customer service.

Ordered a dress and when it arrived it wasn't like the picture, I tried to return it, they didn't give me a return label instead gave me 5% refund which I didn't agree to, and impossible to get any answers, AliExpress are saying they want to help but are not helping, they can see my order, all I want is to return the dress that is not like the dress I ordered
I have submitted photographs as asked for, still AliExpress are dragging there heels, all I want to do is return the dress that is not like the pictures and the lining is faulty
I am getting nowhere with this company, trying to return a dress that is nothing like the dress I ordered, they have been no help at all, don't order from the as they are a nightmare, it's very frustrating backwards and forwards with emails saying they are happy to help but are not helping at all

Bought an item (android car play) started to go faulty 6 months into use. Emailed them, they asked for evidence. It happens when it does so I tried my best to catch it, sent them the evidence and and automated email goes" your case is closed" no option to return or anything from purchase. Avoid like the plague.

As has happened before, the customer has to pay for an item that doesn’t work! But the real problem lies in the way the customer HAS to provide evidence. It’s not always possible to provide a ridiculous photo or an equally ridiculous – and, above all, pointless – video to prove that the device doesn’t work!!
And ‘obviously’, the customer who makes a complaint in good faith also HAS to bear the cost of a faulty device.
In short, in my case, I’ve been ‘robbed’ of a handful of dollars, but I’ll carry on living happily ever after 💚, whilst the manufacturer of the camera 👎 that doesn’t work will, as far as I’m concerned, always remain a fraudster.
Furthermore, Aliexpress’s dispute resolution policy needs to be more concrete and realistic when it comes to evidence!

Aliexpres has become a haven for fraud and fakes. I noticed a seller a 12 piece spanner set for sale at a ridiculously cheap price (A good sign of a scam). When I looked closer at the listing even though all of the photos and the description were of a spanner set there was a single photo of what they were actually selling. It was a cheap set of allen keys. 5 people had already left 1 star reviews as they had been conned. I reported the listing to AE to try and stop other people losing money. Aliexpress decision was that the seller was doing nothing wrong and allowed the scam to continue. While AE actively support this type of fraudulent listing it is a very unsafe place to buy from.
Yes the agent sent me an email it asked about an order I had made and not received the quantity I ordered. So absolutely nothing to do with a fraudulent listing on their website. All the agent did was send out a stock response email to tick the box that they had replied to the Trustpilot review.
They have done nothing to STOP fraud on their website and the listing is still up. This what you can expect from Aliexpre$$.

After battling with them to accept a return (after the vendor offered derisory compensation) & receiving a refund, it appears to be over £8 less than it should be.
I've asked why, - an explanation, at least twice.
The wording of the Rejection email might as well be about the atmosphere around Mars.......it bears no relevance to the query. And Customer Services have their own Processes, - they won't copy/paste a sentence from me, the customer.
email received from them with explanation of lower than expected refund. One factor, petty, really petty, - the other completely untrue. email replied to the same day, - 5 days ago, - no reply.

Giving them 1 star because it won't go lower. Took money for items then sent them to an address I never entered and are refusing to refund because they were delivered.

Got an electrical item that broke.
Aliexpress is repeatedly sending me the same AI response that they need a rapport from companies THAT DO NOT EXIST to verify it's not uses error.
It's a 8 euro item..be real.
I have shopped on Ali for over 10 years and have spend thousands a year, but this has finally pushed me to delete my app and switch to one of the many alternatives.
Shame on you, aliexpress.
Tip: if anyone is dealing with this with an expensive item, just have AI make a fake rapport. They are breaking the law by treating us like this, do not let them steal your money!!
Reaction:
Is this an actual joke? Your agent send the SAME email asking for a rapport from a company that DOESN'T exist.
Ridiculous, embarrassing. All over 8 euros.
Done with AliExpress and their inability to read.

Really disappointed with my order from one seller, got some rings for chainmaille and the are the worst, tried to return them and had to provide proof of everything, the largest amount of rings ordered were awarded a 51c refund while spent over €20, tried to appeal to both seller and aliexpress and I get nothing but freaking ai responses and no one is really helping... this has really been an awful experience

Their client service is as bad as the products.
They sent me the wrong product, knowing it does not fit, and then said I must talk to the supplier on their chat page, where the supplier, of course, gave me the runaround. Now AliExpress said it has been too long they can no longer help resolve the issue. Don't buy from them; buy from reputable dealers, not scammers.
