i had a wonderful inapp experience. wonder what the 2 stars are for - sites getting flamed for nothing?
Booked a hotel while driving. Arrived at hotel, only to discover no booking in my name. Clerk said it can sometimes take up to three hours to show, so we decided to come back in an hour to check.
Returned to the desk after an hour and discovered we were booked for the next week. Went to Agoda site but wasn’t allowed to change date. Then called Agoda agent and was told date could not be changed, booking could not be cancelled and there would be no refund.
Absolutely never using this company again.
We booked a €1200 air-conditioned suite at the Hotel Panache Paris through Agoda.com. When the air condition stopped working halfway through our stay, we had 26 degrees both day and night in our room for two days. The man in the reception at Hotel Panache said the hotel couldn't give us a discount, but if we contacted Agoda after we got home, the hotel would support our case and he assured us we would get a refund.
When contacting Agoda after getting home, they say they have contacted the hotel, but neither the hotel nor Agoda will give us any refund. The only thing Agoda has offered us is USD 50 worth of so called “AgodaCash”. When I asked the Agoda representative Harshvardhan whom I talked to online if AgodaCash is an actual refund, or just credits, he just terminated the chat…
I advise anyone to stay away from using both Agoda.com and Hotel Panache Paris.
This is the worst booking company I have ever dealt with. I will never use your service again, and I will warn everyone to stay away from your company because of this terrible experience
I always find Agoda has the best prices even on better quality hotels.
DO NOT BOOK HOTELL ON AGODA! I’m not happy with this, not att all! So i booked flights to hurgada multiple times and agoda keep cancelling them I don’t know why and its been very frustrating and annoying actually. Its not only me multiple people have been tough this when they have been booking here on agoda! When i came to the hotel I needed to pay for 3 bookings even when I showed them that the booking was cancelled and they told me that the bookings was not cancelled and that I have booked three room in the hotel.
I originally booked a one night hotel stay. I cancelled the booking within the allowed time frame and had confirmation on my agoda account that this was done. I was then charged despite this on a different booking reference. They are refusing refund and so far my contact with staff via the phone no. and email will not advise how to escalate my complaint higher.
Easy to do with lots of selection- good system to use
I tried to cancel a booking. I spoke to the hotel and they agreed to cancel but Agoda brought in a severe time limit for the hotel to act and jumped in and said the hotel had not responded so I would not get a refund. With no way on the Agoda website to take any further action I am stuffed. You may know it is impossible to even talk to these people let alone get a response. Avoid Agoda
My son used my card to reserve a room and thought the hotel was in Harlem, MT, but in fact, was a hotel in Sidney, MT. We called withing 10 minutes to try to cancel the reservation because Sidney is 6.5 hours away from Harlem. Agoda said that we could not cancel with them and that we would need to call Lonetree in Sidney to cancel. We called back an forth for about an hour and could not get it resolved. I disputed it with my credit card and Agoda told CITI that we didn't show up to the hotel so they couldn't refund the money. Citi reversed the charge and said that I would need to pay it. I called Citi and had a conversation with them. Citi refunded the charge on my account. Agoda.com is a horrible business and tries to SCAM you. So watch out!
I booked the Nha Trang SEASTA NHA Transport Hotel in Vietnam on July 18 (2 nights) and the hotel reservation date is October 18 (2 nights). Computer error? Who has a problem, hotel or Agoda? I have to fly in the morning of the 18th, do I have to stay on the street? I have to answer the phone within 48 hours. I'm frustrated. Please help me
Don't use AGODA!!!! Look at the pictures! They are either a scammer, fraudster, or just simply a cheater. Agoda charged me $133.37 and the motel also charged me $117.36 for that same night same room and same location. The motel receptionist told me that Agoda will send me the receipt when I asked for it that night and the receptionist did not willingly given me a copy of it. When I looked at the charges, I called, emailed, and texted chat with its AI referral many times but it gets no where. Agoda asked me for for a proof of receipt but it was not given to me. It asked me for an official card statement printed out statement but it won't send out a month later. I also explained and sent them the online access account charges. I called the motel receptionist again but he referred back to Agoda. Additionally, one of the agoda customer service at this number 866-656-8207 even recommended to dispute through my bank. They are just doing this to get by and I ended up closing my accounts. So don't TRUST them. This is the 2nd time for me. The first was last year January 2025 with smaller amount so I just ignored it. So dont let AGODA scam you like me!
Like many other customers, I have now experienced Agoda selling a room that could not actually be provided. I would never have expected this from a global booking platform.
The compensation offered is poor and does not come close to reflecting the loss of receiving a room that is approximately 20 m² smaller than the one I booked and paid for. This is not acceptable customer service, especially when Agoda has acknowledged that the issue was caused by its own technical error. A comparable or upgraded room would have been the fair solution.
Agoda offer the best deals and a better choice than booking.com BUT them and their crooked mates at EXPEDIA like to charge people TWICE for their accommodation and say it's the fault of the hotel, who I have stayed at regularly over the last three years and have had no issues before.
A PENDING refund for the DOUBLE CHARGE appeared on my online credit card statement yesterday, but has now VANISHED with NO credit to my account!

So I booked to say with the grosvenor in Plymouth on Friday the 8th of May I booked through agoda and when booked i was not told about the reception closing at 10 o'clock at night so when I got the I could not get in I spoke on the phone with someone from the hotel that night and explained my situation and I was assured a refund would be issued and then the next day in person is was assured again as I was staying for 2 nights after emails back and forth trying to get the refund sorted and them telling me it had been processed and that id definitely be relieving my refund for the night missed i have still not received anything and its not July the 16th yet nothing abit of a shame as the second night stay was good no issues there just that I was promised a refund multiple times and nothing was sent out.
As for agoda they are absolutely useless and extremely poor with there customer service I have multiple emails with them and the hotel stating a refund will be issued within a few working days and this was now well over a month ago and yet not money have been refund to me I would not book with this company ever again.

I am extremely disappointed with Agoda. Not only did they advertise a hotel that looked nothing like the photos, but the property was dirty, poorly maintained, and, in my opinion, should not be accepting guests. The room had a stained mattress, a shower curtain that smelled of urine, no working internet or TV, and, most alarmingly, a broken window covered with cardboard, with exposed glass still sticking out—completely unacceptable and a serious health and safety risk, especially for families with children.
What made the experience even worse was Agoda’s lack of accessible customer service. When something goes wrong, it’s incredibly difficult to get proper support or speak to someone who can resolve the issue. Booking platforms have a responsibility to ensure the properties they promote meet basic standards of cleanliness and safety. Based on my experience, Agoda failed to do that, and I would think twice before booking through them again.
