Rhonda was great. We brought in a sample of what we had been looking at to purchase from a discount big box store. Rhonda was able to upgrade the padding for the same floor and still be a lower investment for us.
She listens, then she guides, no pressure.

Carpeted a 500 sq ft bedroom and did an excellent job. Cleaned up after they were done. Great job.

Tiled 2 bathrooms and the work was very poor on both. Advance Carpet One did agree to tear out both bathrooms and retile at their expense ($2K+). Only issue was the mess left behind for us to clean up:

1. Debris left in the all duct-work that we had to clean out.
2. The water stains on our newly painted 1st floor ceiling from toilets leaking when they reinstalled.
3. Scratches left on walls and vanities from the thin set slung around.
4. A broken toilet paper holder they tried to reattach but we had to patch and paint after relocating around the hole left behind.
5. Hardwood cap on a half wall they somehow managed to put a deep scratch in.
6. Charged for leveling clips which were never used.

I brought my design client to the Des Peres store and dealt with Jim in May 2016. Jim was an odd character who made us feel a bit uncomfortable.

We ordered carpet from him, and the carpet was installed and paid in full a few months later.

Once the product is paid in full, then Advance Carpet One is obligated to pay the interior designer, me, a 10% check as a referral fee. These were terms agreed to before I ever brought my client into the store.

I waited a few months, and then decided to find out what the holdup was with my check.

Every time I called the store, Jim was busy. I left several messages, but he never called back. This literally went on for months! Then I asked other sales people for help. I was spoken to rudely, hung up on, and basically given the runaround by every single person at that store. I was given the name of the general manager, Aaron Todd, but I was not allowed to have his phone number or email! The incredibly rude male employee, who would not give me his own name, said he would leave my contact info with Aaron. Several more months went by with this same kind a run around. I never once got a phone call or email from the general manager, Aaron Todd.

When I was waiting to board a plane on Mon. May 1, a full year after I brought my client into the store, my phone rang, and it was Advance Carpet One. The man on the phone asked for my client by name. I said this is not her number, but this is her decorator. I asked if he was calling me to rectify the situation with my designer incentive. Then he hung up on me!

I immediately called back, but the phone rang and rang, and nobody picked up. This was in the middle of the day, so the store was clearly open for business. I called back three or four more times. Finally, a girl answered! I explained that someone had called me and hung up in the middle of our conversation. I asked her to get him on the phone. With awkward pauses and stuttered sentences, she was clearly being coached by someone telling her to say he had gone for the day. Then I asked her, "What was his name?" She said she didn't know who called me. I said, "Well that's odd, if you don't know who called me, then how do you know he left for the day?" She was caught in a lie. I needed to board my plane so I decided to deal with it when I got back from my trip.

When I got back in town, I decided to hire a lawyer. Advance Carpet One owed me nearly $500 and I was tired of dealing with these childish games. After battling with inept sales people and the neglectful general manager, I finally got my check over a year later! I'm sure if I had not hired a lawyer, I would still be out $500.

Bottom line, I will NEVER send anyone into Advance Carpet One. I tell everyone to avoid this store at all costs. I decided to go online and read reviews while all of this was happening. There were so many negative reviews, particularly for this location and for Jim. I don't know how this place stays in business.

Never again! Not when there are so many other good options for flooring in St. Louis.

Had our CoreTec Flooring installed last Thursday and have yet to be contacted as to whether or not the installation went well. If it wasn't for our calling and calling again we would have gotten NO information on this sale, the order or the install. Such a let down after the big sales pitch to get us to buy it. Installers were good except for their using their saw inside the residence which created a huge mess that we are still cleaning up.

Ola and Jim are amazing to work with and very accommodating

product is great, other than that the manager is non-responsive to issues, the installers are above average, and the customer service is absolutely pathetic. Why did I choose them? Price. But will never use them again nor recommend them.

I have not made any purchases with your company and am being asked to review a purchase.

Advance Carpet One has many, many choices for our new carpeting. We had a great sales experience with Lou and he stuck with us until the end, even after our carpet was in and we de used what to do with the remnants. I highly recommend them for a job well done.

I would recommend this company to anyone because of their good service. Installation went well and the job was done quickly and well. Salesperson was willing to bring carpet samples to my house and help me select the right carpet to compliment tile in entryway and furniture in living room. Advice on amount of grout Required was not even close

Thanks for the reply - but my point was not excess -- I ended up with only 1/3/ of what I needed. Understand that it was a pebble type surface it may be different than normal - but that is where the expertise of should have been higher. Mid job had to find additional grout to match in order to finish.

The staff at Advanced One worked with us to get the possible laminate floor within our price range. They came on time and completed the work on schedule. We did not pay them until we were satisfied with the work. We are pleased with the work and the staff were friendly.

We had great service and are very happy with our carpet.

Very nice and professional sales people. Had an issue which they resolved to my satisfaction. Offer a very nice variety of flooring and are knowledgeable.

We're so happy with our purchase and the service we got with Lou at Advance. Pleased with the quality of the carpet, the pad and the price. We will be back in a couple years to buy for another room!
