My elderly Mum has been wearing an Acticheck wristband for about four years now. It is a very effective and reliable piece of kit. She has used it on several occasions when she’s been feeling unwell during the night, and the system works extremely well by calling responders who can then get in touch with the wearer, or with emergency services if the wearer does not respond. Also, customer service is excellent. I have needed to email on a couple of occasions to clarify renewal or to amend card details. They always respond quickly and are helpful, friendly and professional. I would highly recommend this company.

We have been extremely pleased with the Acticheck system. Having the Acticheck wristband enabled my dad to get back to living in his own home independently for two years after a 4 month stay in a care home due to complications from a heart op. The additional feature of being able to monitor the temperature in the house was also useful to identify a boiler failure which we were then able to get fixed quickly.

After a ghastly experience with another company, Acticheck has restored my confidence in so many aspects! The staff are professional, friendly and very helpful, which is always a good start. the product is excellent and flexible in both how it is used and has choice of wristbands, which are discreet to wear. The battery is amazing. It lasts a full year, so there is no hassle, constantly recharging. The band can also be used when bathing and in the shower. The system is easy to set up and help in so doing is explicate. 2 buttons are used to summon help and that should avoid easy accidental pressing, as they are on opposite sides of the puck, enclosed in the wristband. The system is purchased outright and options can be added or not, according to individual preferences. One is not tied in to an annual choice, as options can be paid for on a monthly basis. Details of activity and even room temperature are clear to read, if the app is installed, both for the wearer or personal responders. If the band is linked to a smartphone it operates when away from home too, so the ability is next to none. Pricewise, it is very competitive as only the puck requires to be renewed at the end of the year.

Easy to set up and easy to use. Mum has been wearing her wristband for over 2 months now and is extremely pleased with it. Says she doesn't know it's there as it is comfortable (she has small wrists so was advised to go for the black fabric strap). It work really well and mum feels more independent and confident, knowing that she can press both buttons if she needs me urgently, or I will be contacted directly if she has a fall (or 2 other members of the family if I am able to answer the call). It works really well and the system can be tweaked for your personal situation.

I bought this product for my mother so that I can be alerted should she have a fall, she has dementia but is still able to live independently. Luckily it's not been tested in anger, but I find the activity reporting really useful and can check to ensure she's wearing the device.
The customer service has been brilliant, I've asked a couple of questions and had prompt responses from knowledgeable people.
The device can be configured with different levels of sensitivity.

After researching alternative personal alarm systems and companies, I decided upon Acticheck. It has turned out to be a very good decision. The system is exactly what I wanted, and after testing it a number of times in both the UK and abroad, I have developed confidence in its effectiveness. The presale and after sale service by the company has been superb, including a phone call from Acticheck on the day of delivery to check that I had no problems with the installation. The answer was that I had indeed experienced no problems as the instructions were very good and relatively simple.
I have tested it at times in both the UK and abroad, and it has been faultless. I particularly like the fact that in working through a mobile phone, it works perfectly as well abroad as it does in the UK. I researched a number of alarm systems, and found none that did.
Highly recommended, I am a very satisfied customer!

Acticheck is an excellent system which has been invaluable in alerting us when a relative (who lives a long distance away) has had a fall. It's meant that he's received the urgent help that he needed. He finds the system easy to use and it also gives us peace of mind. The support for the system is also excellent.

I bought the acticheck system when my elderly mother was in hospital. I had been looking for a device like this since she had a bad fall and nobody came to her aid. This gave both her and me peace of mind that it was easy to contact someone if needed.
The check in system is easy to use, and there is always a friendly voice at the end of a phone line if you need help.

Acticheck wristband and hub. The band itself is comfortable, robust and waterproof. It is operable by app and can be used by multiple responders who can use the inbuilt diary to indicate times when they are available/unavailable to respond. It has a long range from the hub/base (250m or more in our experience).
Customer service has been outstanding - Carl has thought of everything and is always available to explain any issues.
Our relative found the band comfortable and it has been incredibly useful. It has alerted us on several occasions when we had a fall and the ability to call for help has been invaluable.
The inbuilt activity feature is fantastic - we have been able to see via the app how much movement has taken place through the day and how much sleep/rest has occurred at night
We have been using the band for 18 months now and can highly, highly recommend it.

I cannot recommened Acticheck highly enough.
This is such a great, innovative product. We bought this for my Mum after she had a fall and a hip operation. I cannot underestimate the confidence that the system gives my Mum knowing that, if she gets into any difficulties, all she has to do is press the button on the wristband. And also if she has a fall that the wristband will respond anyway even if she is unable to press the button.
The other details the system provides, like we know when my Mum is up and about in the mornings, gives us the resassurance and we don't have to embarrass my Mum by calling all the time to check she is okay, she feels independent, which she likes. But we can still monitor too.
The product is always being enhanced, like the recent analysis of whether the wearer is deviating from their 'normal' active day.
The fact that this is internet based rather than phone line based means you won't have the worry of the problem of the phone lines being withdrawn, which is happening in the near future, as it does not need a phone line to connect. In fact the very fact that you can also pair this to a smartphone so that if your internet goes down it can still alert as the wristband will use the smartphone instead is the perfect backup. This is particularly useful too if you happen to be out of range of the base station, it will instead use your smartphone connection.
Add to all this, that the product in itself is brilliant, the team at Acticheck always respond very quickly to questions, which is exactly what you want in terms of customer service.
I would not hesitate to recommend Acticheck if you are looking for emergency response solution.

The product Acticheck offers is of a good quality and is reliable in my experience.
The support from Acticheck is also something which can be relied upon by friendly knowledgeable staff.

I bought an Acticheck wristband for my elderly mother who lives alone. The wristband looks like a watch and is comfortable to wear - my mother chose the black fabric strap.

There is no mobile signal at my mother's house but the wristband connects via radio signal to the home wi-fi. The range is superb and covers all her garden.

Luckily my mother has not needed to use it, but we test the emergency call function occasionally and it works seamlessly every time.

When I was ordering the product I had several questions that were all answered swiftly by friendly and helpful staff. In summary, an excellent product from a great company.

This is a brilliant product and system.
I can use it for myself and for my wife, which gives me great reassurance when I'm not at home with her.
Also excellent customer service and always there if you have any questions.
I would have no hesitation on recommending Acticheck.

I would highly recommend this device. It gives you so much information and alerts that can help you feel much more comfortable about your loved ones especially if like mine they live alone. Also the customer service is second to none which I’ve been very grateful for on a few occasions.

As always, without fail, I received my twice-daily "Are you all right" check through the wristband and if I don't respond by clicking the button on it the alarm process goes into action. It saved me from uncounted hours of terrible pain when a couple of years ago I broke my arm indoors - no one could hear me scream for help and I was nowhere near a phone. I pressed the button and immediately the alarm went off and within minutes my contacts were telephoned and when they got no response from me they knew it was serious so could ring for an ambulance. Being water resistant I never take the wristband off so it's there on call for me in the shower (where people are most likely to slip) too. There's also a personal touch and calls and emails to my contact at Acticheck are always promptly responded to.

They removed my negative review from their website.

In their reply to this review on Trustpilot they say: "Looking back on the review you were very unhappy with a reaction your mother had to the wristband" so they have obviously still got the review but more than four months later the review is still not on their website.

In their reply they mention an alternative wristband but there were no references to it at all on their website.

I feel I was too hard on this company in my earlier review and would like to make some amends. The physical product is well-produced and the service aspect is good, also the people at Acticheck are very helpful. I can't give it more than three stars, however, as the ultimate 'product' is peace of mind - the wearable tech connects you to a base where your safety is monitored 24/7 - and it's the product performance that concerns me, in view of the number of false alarms it generates. However, I am sure it is still in development and will get better with time.

The Acticheck watch/band has been amazing giving us confidence that should our father have an incident he has the ability to raise an alarm. The customer service has been 1st class and would recommend the product to anyone wanting reassurance that their loved one is safe.

Really good customer service. My father in law fines it really easy to wear and knows that if it vibrates he just needs to press a button to say he is OK. It has given us all real peace of mind. Spoke with Karl who talked me through it. No question was too much trouble. Will be recommending to my friends.

I purchased this system to help my parents to continue to live independently. The Acticheck system ensures that they can call for help if they fall.

It is very easy to setup and works worldwide. All my parents need to remember is press both buttons on the armband if they need help.

Responders can decide if they can help or if the next person on the list should be called. If a responder is away they mark themselves as unavailable and will then not be disturbed.

There is no better product on the market.
