Acer turned my laptop in to a paper weight

I recently purchased a new Acer Nitro 5 laptop. After owning it for just two weeks, I took a trip to Mexico, leaving the laptop safely at home. Upon returning, I discovered a single line running across the screen. I contacted Acer support and initiated a warranty claim. However, when they returned the device, they claimed there was physical damage and scratches on the screen - which was completely untrue, as the laptop had been in pristine condition. They quoted $800 for repairs, which I declined. When I received the laptop back, the display issue had significantly worsened, with approximately 50 lines now running down the center of the screen. Due to this disappointing experience with Acer's warranty service, I'm now forced to use it as a desktop computer with an external monitor

Get another delivery service, Acer!

If they keep using FedEx as their delivery service, I can't order any Acer computer.

The FedEx in Lowell Arkansas systematically steals packages, or is the package held hostage? This FedEx location sucks so much. I think they might have stolen our package with a laptop in it. 4th day delivery today (should just be 3 and they send it back to sender). They were going to deliver before noon today, my girlfriend was home waiting for it (for the 4th day in a row!), then it says to be delivered in the evening.. she leaves but has put up a note on the door with her signature as FedEx tells us to do, 10 mins after she's left they have taken down her note and put up a missed delivery not. We have pictures of her putting up the notes of her signature. In the new missed delivery photo on the tracking site, her notes are gone, new FedEx note up AND you can see that they have parked a grey sedan in our driveway - NOT a FedEx truck! I have called Acer 6 times over the past days, I have esaleted this problem and they have told FedEx to just send back the package to them and that we will not accept the package anymore. It says on the tracking they will try again tomorrow, a 5th time!? If they do and says she has signed for it, it has been stolen for sure and have then forged her signature. A police report will be filed unless it is sent back to Acer.

Update: They never even dropped by with a new note, just used the same pictures as before, the signature note we put up was still there when we arrived.

Acers customer service is nice, they have promised me a full refund including the overnight delivery I paid extra for. As long as they use FedEx I'm not buying anything again.

I'll update when this case is resolved, I just want to warm people about this ridiculous service.

Laptop never arrived, horrible customer service

I purchased a laptop for business on the 14th of march. It never arrived in the 3-4 working days. After multiple unhelpful calls to customer service I found out it was stuck in customs. I had ordered from the European website and am in Europe.
Another 2 weeks go by after they told me they were sorting out and now today on the 9th of April they tell me they are issuing a refund and to go online a buy it again if I want to.

DO NOT BUY THEIR PRODUCTS

I used to love their products. They were quality. Last two lap tops I bought from them were a total garbage sold under disguise of quality specs.

Not even charger works, imagine that. From day 1. You have to position charger and not move it, otherwise doesnt work. I never saw that before with any lap top from any company since the first one I purchased.

Sound is horrible, you can't hear anything.

To say it is overpaid is an understatement.

It is a total fraud.

Extremely Disappointing Experience – Still No Laptop or Refund

I placed an order with Acer on February 12th, expecting a smooth transaction. However, what followed has been nothing short of frustrating. My order reached Ireland on February 17th but was held up due to customs charges—charges I was assured were not my responsibility. Despite multiple attempts to resolve the issue, I received no meaningful support from Acer.

By the end of February, I contacted customer service and was promised a resolution within a few working days. That never happened. Since then, I have been calling daily, only to experience poor communication and constant delays. To make matters worse, Acer’s phone lines are nearly impossible to use, as the calls break up badly regardless of the device I use.

This ordeal has caused immense disruption to my work. My previous laptop was broken, and I was relying on this purchase to continue my tasks. Because of Acer’s failure to deliver, I have been left without a laptop for weeks, delaying all my work and creating unnecessary stress.

I ultimately requested the order to be canceled and contacted UPS to refuse delivery. However, despite my clear request, I have yet to receive confirmation of my refund. If I do not receive it soon, I will have no choice but to escalate the matter through my credit card provider.

This entire experience has been unacceptable. If this is the level of customer service Acer provides before a purchase is even completed, I can only imagine how difficult it would be to get support for warranty issues. Based on this experience, I will not be purchasing from Acer again.

I strongly advise others to be cautious when ordering directly from Acer.

DO NOT BUY OFF THESE SCAMMERS.

DO NOT BUY OFF THESE SCAMMERS.
They are NOT a real company. You pay your money, they never deliver and won’t respond except to say they are escalating my problem. I paid for an expensive laptop 18th January and it was supposed to be delivered 22nd January. It is now 3rd March and they will not refund my money and I have no laptop. PLEASE DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY.

Acer is a good company.

I think most people are the reason for the bad comments, the misuse of the computer. Bought a laptop Nitro 5. Everything works flawlessly, there are no problems and nothing breaks down. The presentation is perfect. The computer was sent from Poland, it was delivered to my house in less than 48 hours. So if you use your computer properly, you won't have any problems.

Data Theft by Acer Aspire Laptop

The Aspire 3 is just plain ole cheap. I am starting to think this is "only" a data collection device and not a pc.
This thing shuts off while i am actively typing. I have found i have no control over this laptop. I dont even have the power nor the option to reboot the laptop. Why?????
It just locks me out completely. Since when did they make computers that controlled themselves????
Why can't I shut it off? What is it downloading without my permission? Who is it talking to???
I'm sorry, I've heard lots about TikTok and Deep Seek and other data thieves. But no one is speaking about Acer. Why?
So, since I've noticed this fact, I've changed all the pc setting so that the laptop Never powers off or goes to sleep. I did this maybe 7 days ago. I just got home from work and the laptop screen was black! Why? I just changed the setting to prevent just this. I tapped a button on the keyboard and go no response. So then I clicked the buttons on the mouse, again, no response. Why? I had to long hold the power button before the laptop started. And i mean started, like it was just now powering up. Why????? It's plugged in AND has full battery, so why is it off or sleep after i changed the setting to prevent this?????
I just changed the setting for it not to do any of that, but yet, it did it anyways.

This thing is a spy and most likely the direct source of our recent account hackings that no one seems to be at fault for.

I will be buying a new pc soon for no other reason than to sleep peacefully at night, without worrying about my laptop selling me out!

I bought an Acer Aspire TC-1785 Desktop…

I bought an Acer Aspire TC-1785 Desktop computer, 16GB Ram, 1TG storage recently, replacing my 10 year old Dell Windows 10 pc. Although installation instructions were almost non existent, setting up the pc was very straightforward. Any problems I had were quickly resolved by contacting the supplier, who was very knowledgeable. I have been using this pc for a number of weeks now, and am impressed by its speed.

Knowingly sells faulty products

Knowingly sells faulty products. Terrible business practices - won't EVER be buying anything from them or any affiliated companies in the future. I bought the Acer Nitro on sale and of course they sold it knowing it had a bad processor in it. Can't send it in because its also my work laptop.

Do not buy Acer Kids Tablets 10.1

Purchased two Acer Kids Tablets 10.1. Both switch themselves off when battery goes under 40% battery. Currys are aware of this fault, but continue to sell these faulty tablets. Trying to get support from Acer is impossible. The customer support is non existent, it's almost laughable how difficult they make it to get hold of someone in the phone or the chat and once you manage to get through their automated system, you are left on hold indefinitely. Stay away from Acer.

Probably one of the most mediocre disappointing laptops in the world.

I was sent an email by Acer asking me to review the Acer Nitro 5 laptop i recently bought. I told them they wouudln't be happy with my review - so let me share it with you and them. It cost £1149. Annoyingly once you load any software on a new computer - you are unable to return it under the 14 day cooling off period if you bought it online. Within a matter of minutes i realised that it got overly hot when i played games on it - even though it is allegedly a gaming laptop. I also discovered - too late it is not VR ready meaning i could not use it to power a Virtual Reality headset - which really did suprise and disappoint me for a new gaming laptop - due it appears to the limited
graphics abillities. So - if you are considering buying one - i suggest you breathe in and find a better one - any laptop is likely to be better or you could just set fire to your pound notes. Good Luck - and thank you Acer marketing team for prompting me to write a review - your laptops suck big time.

I have an acer laptop v3-572G

I have an acer laptop v3-572G. Windows update take 3 hours. The device is horrendously slow. When I phoned for assistance their robot did not recognise the CORRECT SNID mumber, message 'our system could not process your request'. I tried to email but acer wanted my serial number which it could not validate. I can only assume they do not use humans on their help desk and essentially are not interested in helping customers.

acer is the worst computer i've ever had

i bought an acer computer for a specific reason. i've had fujitsu, toshiba and hp laptops but will never again buy an acer no matter ho low the price. there is a reason for the low price, terrible components and lousy design. you have to take the whole effing computer apart to upgrade the ram. what kind of design stupidity is that? never again.

Acer customer service BLOWS

Acer customer service BLOWS. After purchasing a new monitor off amazon brand new, I noticed a dead pixel on the very first day. After reaching out to customer service I was met with a 15 minute process of trying to fix the dead pixel which included, turning the monitor on and off, changing the cable, and changing the computer, all of which did nothing, because how would any of that fix anything. After following this advice and constant messaging asking if I was still there after two minutes when they ask me to plug the monitor INTO A COMPLETE DIFFERENT COMPUTER, I was met with the information that they could not honor my warranty because they needed a cluster of dead pixels and that a single or few scattered dead pixels are considered “industry standard”. So if you would like to purchase half broken item that are still considered “industry standard” then acer is the company for you! Lucky for me though I will never be purchasing a product from them again thankfully Amazon issued me a full refund.

Making a $1200 laptop that utilises…

Making a $1200 laptop that utilises such a flimsy charger is unacceptable, especially when cheaper models have had much larger and more robust charging systems.

I'd rather not have to spend even more money to buy yet another charger that will break in a few months.
