Ordered window and patio doors in Spring/Summer 2021. Installation started and is still not finished. Window without a handle to open or vents fitted. Other small issues with the quality of parts and fitting. Most importantly, patio doors that don't lock - was fixed once but discovered they still weren't locking. Not happy with quality of products, fitting or resolution.
On the plus side, they look as good as any I looked at.

I came across this company back in 2015 when they fitted 2 sets of bifold doors on the rear of my property. They were an excellent company and their after service was quality. I have just finished a major make over on my property, and I wanted sliding doors to the rear of my property and sliding doors to the loft . Marcus was my go to, he made my dreams come to life, and his professionalism is outstanding. This company does not need to advertise, because as a glazing company they are brilliant with super products with returning customers as norm. They managed to do a 10.5m run of sliding doors over only 3 doors, which is a lot of glass, but their invisible profiles they use is outstanding.
If I ever need anymore glazing, 1stfoldingslidingdoors is my go to and it should be everyones go to, because they can fulfil your dreams with anyshape and anysize glass at a good price without compromising on the top integrity of the product they only use.

Excellent service from start to finish. The team are every level of the organisation and stage of the process are friendly and knowledgeable. We had a seamless experience, from ordering to installation took less than a month. We ordered a 5m Origin [OB49] bifold and they look stunning. Our installation guys were friendly and professional and answered all our questions. We would happily recommend 1st folding to anyone considering new windows!

We have had a very good experience with 1st Folding Sliding Doors. We purchased aluminium bifold doors (3m wide) and two pieces of roof glass (one of which was very large and heavy - 3m by 1.2m) for a new kitchen extension in West London. We had quotes from three different suppliers and I did visit their showroom to do some due diligence. The initial site survey was done by Marcus and he confirmed with our builder what the size of the various spaces had to be and how upstands were to be constructed; that was very helpful. After speaking to them, we were able to split the installation over two separate visits. The installation work has been very professional and we have had a follow-up visit to ensure the work has been carried out properly. Happy to use in future and recommend.

I really wish this company would finish our job and install our windows. Can’t get an answer out of anyone and it’s been going on for months now.

I bought two sets of Sunflex bi-folding doors in 2014. Installation was great and very happy with finished product. The doors work well and are very pleasing aesthetically. After 7 years, I recently had an issue where one of the door lock mechanisms got jammed and the doors were stuck closed. I called 1st Folding and they dispatched someone very quickly who fixed the issue free of charge as doors were still under 10-year warranty. Very professional with great customer service. Would highly recommend.

Just in the process of our third house refurbishment using 1stfolding and their team has been, as always, very helpful - despite the issues of covid and brexit affecting everyone the team have made every effort to accommodate our requests and current order. Thank you 5* effort.

The team have been fantastic, from my first virtual visit / tour of the showroom in March to recent measure appointments and we can’t wait to have the final product fitted.
Their unique products are in demand, just look at their Instagram for some really amazing examples of their work and you will see why they are in big demand.
Due to my own delays on-site I have had to have multiple surveys with plenty of follow up questions/queries which Marcus has been so patient and helpful with. I have found the service to be superb, with sketches, contract and invoices issued promptly after each stage.
Lead times across the entire industry have been impacted by supply chain issues and the team have been very transparent and realistic with that in all communications.
Check out their unique oriel window seats and virtually frameless lantern which uses industry leading techniques.

1st folding installed beautiful windows and offered outstanding service and were very professional. Two installers were polite, clean, professional and were able to remove installed windows and fit the new windows with limited / no damage to external walls. Really professional, reasonably priced, very reliable and no ask was trouble for them. We installed dual colour, and windows and openings are stunning.

Had a good experience with them earlier in the year when we had bi-folds and a back door installed (all Origin). We went with them for a new front door and window as well and that has been a nightmare. Site visit for front door took place in April 2021. Told there was a four week lead time on door. Door is a straightforward replacement of existing. Installation due to take place 22 July 2021 over three months later. Fitters turned up and door was ordered with hinges on the wrong side and side window glass was broken. They had to order a new door from the factory which had a four week lead time. Fitters turned up with new door 26 August 2021 and when the unwrapped door realised it had no glass in it and that the side window was clear rather than satin as ordered. They came back the next day unannounced and finally did the installation and did a really great job. I am still chasing the side window 18 October 2021 no sign of that and no communication. We have a spray painted temporary window with our nice new door.

Updated review: you’ll see below my negative review. I must now say that having finally made contact the installation manager has been really good. He has been communicative and thorough. He was apologetic and explained the staffing issues they had which meant their communication was not good enough. The lead times are long as they are across the industry at the moment (and my other supplier are a fair bit longer) but no more than we expected or were warned. I’ll provide a further update once we’ve had the installation.

I haven’t even got the product yet and am fed up with this company. Having paid the deposit I am getting absolutely no reply to emails and they don’t answer the phone. There’s not even an answerphone! I have not the faintest idea of when my glazing will be installed despite paying a significant deposit 4 weeks ago. It’s actually not even that relevant what the product is like now; their service is such an embarrassment to the industry (in which I have worked previously) that I would still rate them poorly. I’d suggest going elsewhere.

We had windows and French doors fitted by 1st Folding Sliding Doors and are really happy with the products. They look great and really make our new kitchen. What was most impressive though is that we had a minor problem with the installation and the team sorted it quickly and efficiently with no fuss at all. Great company to deal with.

We had sliding doors, a large light well and a large picture window installed as part of our home renovation. 1st Folding were very accommodating with our request to have the items installed at different stages of the build. We had a very minor hiccup with installation dates, but this was rapidly rectified. Could not be happier with the results. Thank you guys!

1st Folding recently installed two sliding doors, six windows, and a frameless roof light at my house.

We visited the showroom to see the doors and it was great to see them in person at the Perivale show room.

The installers were polite and the finished doors look amazing.

Whole house new origin aluminium windows and doors. From initial site survey with Danny, to finished installation by Richard and Julian the whole process was efficient and expertly done. The product is excellent quality and the install couldn't be better. Thank you all the team at 1st Folding, we wouldn't hesitate to recommend you and will be back when the extension is ready.

I cannot recommend them enough. Our order was put through very quickly, we were kept updated on when our bi-folds could be installed. Ricky installed our new doors in a few hours. He was very friendly and had good attention to detail. We could not be happier, it has transformed our flat.

We had originally chosen to go with a company called Beautiful Bifolds & sliding doors! BIGGEST mistake of our build! I can CANNOT stress enough don’t go with a company just because they are cheaper, the stress just isn’t worth it!
Beautiful Bifolds did half a job and never returned! We waited 6 months and we’re told promise after promise and we’re totally conned! I was left devastated when they stopped answering our calls. I had no choice but to go elsewhere and start the process from the beginning.
Danny from 1st folding came and measured up and within a few weeks they were installed (skylight and glass roof)
I couldn’t believe how stress free they made it! The fitters were nothing but charming and a joy to be around.
(Building a house you soon realise how many grumpy tradesmen there are!)

Let me start by saying 1st Folding weren’t my first choice for our kitchen doors. I was initially wooed by the New Wave Door slide and fold system but this turned out to be a huge mistake and 1st Folding saved the day. Long story short New Wave measured the aperture incorrectly (I should have known as they normally refused to measure) and the doors didn’t fit on arrival resulting in a (at the time of writing) 8+ week delay. I was desperate to get doors ASAP as we had already had two snowy cold snaps and no kitchen for 3 months plus I was unable to give the other contractors (flooring, kitchen, decorators) an installation date.

1st Folding came in and with excellent professionalism and communication had doors fitted just 2.5 WEEKS later. I was blown away and couldn’t fathom how I’d been messed around for so long by New Wave. The door (Origin 4 panel bifold) is clearly very high quality - smooth operation and well insulated -and looks fantastic. What is really really important in these difficult times is customer service - some businesses e.g New Wave are barely able to operate in the current climate - you can’t even phone them. 1st Folding however ensured I had the Director’s mobile number and WhatsApp and even the head office responded to my emails without more than a few hours delay. This gives me great comfort for the level of after care I can expect to receive. They don’t ask for 100% payment upfront, you can pay with credit card, and they take their own measurements.

I wish I had gone with 1st Folding right from the start and I thoroughly recommend you do the same!

P.s. they also installed a ‘glass box’ light well in the side return extension which is absolutely fantastic so I also highly recommend their other glazing solutions.
