Please read this message carefully before booking with Wow Homes.

We rented this villa in Castro for a family holiday with our two very young children and our parents-in-law. We had been looking forward to this trip for a long time. Wow Homes presents itself as a specialist in luxury villas, but our experience unfortunately did not reflect that at all.

Upon arrival, the garden appeared poorly maintained. There were multiple ant nests and wasp nests present, and ants had even entered the villa. The traps that were placed had little to no effect. Due to a broken sunshade, the terrace was practically unusable during the day, and because of the large number of wasps, our children could hardly play outside safely or use the swimming pool. Waste was also left uncollected for some time, which attracted even more insects.

After a few days, the air conditioning systems stopped working. With young children, this meant hot, sleepless nights. Our children woke up crying, and in the end nobody in the house was able to rest properly. For ten nights we barely slept, and the holiday became something we simply had to get through.

Despite repeated contact with Wow Homes, we did not feel that the issues were handled with urgency or effectiveness. Only shortly before our departure did someone come by, without providing a real solution.

After our stay, we also received a message claiming alleged damages that they stated might be deducted from our deposit. We do not recognise these allegations.

In over ten years of renting holiday villas, we have never experienced anything like this. We are sharing this experience so others can make a more informed decision.

This home was absolutely incredible! My husband and I wanted a private home with an ocean-view and our own pool. What we didn’t expect was the true beauty of the property. All the photos listed do not do it justice. The neighboring towns have plenty of delicious restaurants, supermarkets, excursions, crystal beaches, and more. WowHomes also provided a home guide with recommendations as well. You will not be disappointed with this property!

The Villa is very big and so Nice! With the des view and the Pool! We will come back one day!

Our stay at Villa Picolo was absolutely outstanding and exceeded all expectations.

From the moment we arrived, the service was impeccable. Alessia and the WOW Homes team were incredibly welcoming, professional, and always available with fantastic local recommendations for restaurants, beaches, and places to explore throughout the region.

As I was working remotely during our stay, I initially experienced a weak Wi-Fi signal in some areas of the property. After mentioning this to the team, they immediately took action. The very next day, a technician arrived and replaced all of the Wi-Fi repeaters throughout the villa. The result was excellent connectivity everywhere on the property. To make things even more remarkable, the owners personally brought us fresh local fish and a bottle of wine as an apology for the inconvenience. That level of hospitality and genuine care is incredibly rare and speaks volumes about the people behind Villa Picolo.

The villa itself is simply breathtaking. Everything is spotless, beautifully maintained, and clearly cared for with great attention to detail. The gardens are truly magical. Wandering through the pathways feels like exploring a private botanical paradise filled with flowers, cacti, agaves, ancient olive trees, butterflies, bees, and countless other beautiful touches of nature.

The pool area is fantastic, with comfortable loungers, large umbrellas, and plenty of space to relax. One of our favourite spots was the rooftop terrace, where we enjoyed spectacular sunsets overlooking the surrounding countryside and the beautiful grounds of the property.

Villa Picolo offers a level of peace and tranquillity that is difficult to describe. It’s the perfect place to disconnect, recharge, and enjoy the beauty of Puglia. The beds are very comfortable, every room has its own bathroom, and the air conditioning works perfectly throughout the villa.

For families or groups of up to 10 people, I honestly cannot recommend Villa Picolo highly enough. Combined with the exceptional service from Alessia, the WOW Homes team, and the villa owners, this was one of the most memorable holiday experiences we’ve ever had.

We would return without hesitation.

We had a great stay at this very nice and charming house for the second time and we would love to come back next year. The house is in a very good condition. The location surrounding is very nice, it is calm and the view of the terrace is stunning. The house is kept very clean. Everything is in good condition and functional.
The communication with the agency is very friendly, very nice and very helpful and, which is very important, the responses are very quick.
We will come back next to you for sure.

Disappointing Experience with Wowhomes.ch

We booked a house with a private pool through Wowhomes.ch, and unfortunately, our experience was far from pleasant. Upon arrival, the pool was filthy, with murky green water that clearly hadn't been cleaned in a while. The kitchen utensils were also dirty, which was unacceptable for a holiday rental. Although the pool was cleaned the following day, it should have been done before our arrival.

Additionally, the beach umbrella provided was broken, and despite reporting it to Wowhomes.ch, it was never replaced during our stay. To make matters worse, we only received our deposit back one week after checking out.

The house itself was good and the beach was really nice and nearby.

Overall, we cannot recommend this holiday rental service. Our stay was riddled with issues. Look elsewhere if you want a stress-free vacation.
