Fine flooring, dreadful when something goes wrong

Only refunded after I rang head office

UPDATE 24th September. My refund has finally come through, but only because I rang head office. Here is how it went.

I ordered engineered oak flooring that was never opened or installed. When I asked to return it I was refused, then refused a second time in writing by a manager. The answer only changed when I asked them to show they had given me the legally required cancellation information at the point of sale, because they couldn't. The refund was authorised in writing on 3rd September.

Getting the goods collected took weeks of unanswered emails. In the end the company arranged the collection themselves and confirmed in writing that my refund would go back to my card once the flooring reached their depot. Their carrier collected all 11 unopened packs on 17th September.

Then nothing. Once they had the flooring back, the manager handling my return stopped replying. Chasers were ignored.

So I rang head office. I went through everything, and I also told the man I spoke to that there seemed to me to be a gendered aspect to how I had been treated. He didn't push back on that at all. He didn't seem surprised. He just said he would talk to him. That spoke volumes.

The refund of €674.54 arrived today. Nothing about my case had changed since 3d September. The money was owed from the day the goods left my house, and it took going over the manager's head to get it.

The flooring itself is fine. But if anything goes wrong, keep everything in writing and don't waste time with the person you've been dealing with. Go straight to head office.

We received our order of the Antique Colbalt Blue laminate flooring. It was really well packaged and arrived in perfect condition. The boards are of a superior quality and it was fitted without a single hitch. All I can say is that the end result is stunning and we could not be more delighted with the service and the outcome of this little project. Thank you so much.

Terrible service

Wood Floor Warehouse took our order and allowed us to choose a delivery date. When the vehicle arrived, half the order was missing.

We called and were assured the missing items would still be delivered that day, but they never arrived. On three further occasions, we contacted them and were repeatedly told the order was on its way. It never turned up.

After multiple requests, we eventually received a refund.

Very poor communication and completely unreliable service. Avoid.

I have experienced excellent service with Wood Floor Warehouse. Particularly the personal service of Barry O’Neill in Bangor , N.Ireland who made such a concerted effort to solve my problems re: delivery and collection and kept me informed at every juncture. I was looking for a floor for a spare room but didn't want to spend too much. Spoke to Corrie who helped me pick one that worked. Went with Moritz laminate, just wanted something simple and neutral and I love it

Poor quality.
Within a week and a half of being laid, the laminate has started chipping; which means the floor will be lucky to last a year. Tried contacting them about this but no answer. Not only that but a good quantity of floor boards arrived damaged at the part where it joins others and couldn’t be used, not to mention a few warped boards also. Although cheaper than elsewhere and delivered on time, I should have spent that bit extra and gone with a company who are proven quality. If something seems too good to be true it usually is! Would not recommend.

Great customer service from the guys in Belfast. We had some boxes of flooring to return and it wasn’t a problem.
Black oak herringbone floor is absolutely gorgeous.

When fitting, we had a couple of packs which had been damaged and they replaced straight away. Highly recommend.

Great service from Woodfloor Warehouse. We dealt with Graham who explained the different options really well, and really listened to our needs and house style. We were very happy with the final reccomendation and the floor looks really great now fitted!

Cannot recommend the guys at Warrington branch enough. We ordered over 9k worth of the rectory engineered wood, it looks absolutely stunning in our home. The fitter Connor who I sourced locally was also fantastic and he was also recommended by the guys in store. Amazing job, amazing service and very quick delivery too !! I have also used this company before on my previous house and can honestly say they were brilliant then too and that was a few years ago, that’s why I went back to them !
