Paid exorbanant shipping fee for specific delivery date

I paid extra to have my order delivered SPECIFICALLY on December 23rd. They charged me $132.30 JUST for SHIPPING!
This huge breakfast was supposed to be for my family that I can't be with, to enjoy a wonderful Christmas morning breakfast.
I just found out it was delivered today.... 7 days early! They will not be able to save everything I sent for a WEEK!! I am beyond disappointed!
I will never order from this company again!!

Don’t waste your time or money.

Ordered a gift selection of pastries. When I called asking for order update I was sent to 3 different companies customer service reps to get help. My order shows shipped for 5 days and the fedex tracking says they haven’t received the product yet. Called in to check a got a few different answers from people that didn’t speak English and had no idea how to help me.

First and last time ordering

First and last time ordering. As long as you are ok with the order not being received on time even when extra was paid for guaranteed delivery, maybe it's worth it. Just spent an hour texting their customer service, trying to get an order resent, the additional shipping charge refunded and a complimentary item sent to the recipient to make up for my gift NOT ARRIVING IN TIME FOR A FUNERAL! Promises were made for the resending and refund, but they could not even direct me to a person or department that could help send a complimentary gift. They did not fix the problem! By resending, they only honored the original commitment. I will never use them or their "sister" company, Harry and David's again. Really, REALLY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE. Now, off to write another bad review about them!

Customer service does not speak English

I bought some English muffins on 12/8/25 online as a gift. I noticed that FedEx had not received the package from Wolfermans on 12/13/25. I called customer service and their agent did not understand English. They could not get the order number correct. They were incorrect on the status of the order. I was on the phone for 26 minutes. They finally got me to a supervisor who gave me correct information but it took up so much time. Don’t order from this group.

The muffins used to be very thick

The muffins used to be very thick, tasty and ever so much better than what you could buy in the store. Now, the muffins are no bigger than store bought, flavor is lacking and the quality and size have gone done. Very disappointed and will not be ordering again.

Last Year to be a Customer

I have been a Wolferman's customer for over 30 years. This year, as in previous years, I ordered their super thick muffins. What a huge disappointment. They are just like regular muffins. In the past, they were packed in a column of 4. This year they are packed in a long package of 4 just like Thomas' English muffins. I will no longer be buying these. I called and was told they have a new baker. Well, too bad!

Terrible English muffins-Why the change?

For decades my family has enjoyed the Wolferman's English muffins. They have been legendary since their origin in Kansas City, and a nostalgic holiday staple for all of us since our childhoods. And now, inexplicably, H&D changed their recipe, production, bakery... I don't know. One of my sisters received some recently and told us all that now they are horrible. Very disappointing to erase history like that.

First and Last Order

This was my first and last order from Wolferman's. Many years ago, a friend used to get items from Wolferman's and they were so good. My order was a complete disappointment. They didn't arrive as quickly as the website indicated. The muffins were not fresh but very dry and crumbly. The thick ones are no bigger than what we get at the store. The price is way too high for such poorly made and disappointing items. Never again.

Shrinkflation

We have bought these English muffins for years because they there thick and soft and delicious. But they got bought out and shrinkflationed the product. They are like the cheap Thomas English muffins you get at the grocery now. We'll never buy them again and let all our friends we had recommended them to know.

WHAT in the he-DOUBLE HOCKEY sticks happened to them?!

Ordered 8/15, on 8/19 I was informed, via email it was shipped. 8/22/25 (Friday.....a WEEK after ordering) it was sitting in a warehouse and why? Well, I guess someone couldn't be bothered to hand my order to FedEx. Let's start with the fact it is SUMMER and you pack an order with BAKED GOODS and leave it in a box, in a warehouse for 4 DAYS? Now, mind you I could have PAID a boatload MORE for "expedited" delivery instead of the over priced shipping already charged .... was this my fault?
You know what? Wolfermans used to be AWESOME! I "trusted them" with my best friends birthday gift. I called and FIRMLY complained. I have gotten a refund but not a FULL refund because for some reason they kept a couple of dollars.......oddly enough the package IS on it's way and will......BE LATE. (yes, I am equally shocked) I will not use them or anyone in their "family of companies" ever again. All I wanna know is WHAT HAPPENED to them? SERIOUSLY?!
**By the way......let me be clear, FedEx HAS it now but it still has not moved.**

No "Care" in Customer Care!!!

I was billed twice for renewing my Celebrations Passport membership on December 16, 2024. When I brought it to Wolferman's attention, they cancelled the membership--both of them, so that I no longer had the benefits of the Celebrations Passport. I didn't realize they had cancelled both of them until yesterday, when I tried to place an order and was charged shipping. When I called, chatted, and otherwise notified Wolferman's of this action, totally their fault, what the "Customer Care" agent offered me was for me to purchase another renewal of the Celebrations Passport at a reduced cost, a 3rd one, which means I would now be paying for 3 memberships, two originally paid for back in December, one which they refunded, and yesterday a completely new one. That was the "Only thing they could offer me," and they still only said, "I understand," and refused to comp my membership or offer me anything else, even though the mistake was theirs from the beginning. This agent supposedly checked with a supervisor and still did not satisfy me, the customer. I have been a longtime customer of Wolferman's, and this treatment is unacceptable. If I could give a lower star than 1, I would!

I placed an order for cookies peanut…

I placed an order for cookies peanut butter and chocolate, they were to be sent to NYPD @Lt Varriano, the cookies were not going to be delivered until the end of July, Varriano was retiring be the end of July, so I canceled the order received my refund. I was told because of the inconvenience I would have a $50 dollar to go towards my next purchase. WE'LL THAT WAS A LIE, the customer service to try and find out about the credit was absolutely horrible. Will Never place another order with wolferman's or Cheryl's cookies

I’ve ordered from them before and…

I’ve ordered from them before and everything was good. I placed an order on May 9th and after my credit card payment went through I was getting messages that things I ordered were not in stock. Twice I had to pick different products and then got a message that my gift that I paid extra to have delivered on May 12th wouldn’t be delivered until August 14th. I called to cancel the order and now I’m just getting a run around for my refund. This company has really gone downhill, they’ve lost a customer.

I ordered English Muffins on 3/8/2025..where are they?

I ordered English Muffins on 3/8/2025. It was to be delivered on or about 3/19. Today is 4/8 and no delivery.
I discussed this issue with the Chat Bot on 3 seperate occasions. Each time I was assured that the order will be a reorder but I never received a confirmation or email...nothing. The company requested a survey to complete...they wanted to know how I liked the muffins. HA! So I wrote that I have yet to get them etc. They replied that they were sorry that I was dissatisfied and gave me a link to Wolfermanns to discuss the issue. Guess what shoppers...the link does not work! This is from the company!
I have been a customer of theirs for years and years. I put in 5-6 orders per year. I am a good and loyal customer. I kept ordering these muffins even though the price kept going up and the muffins kept shrinking in size. I have delt with several other companies over the years about issues and every one of them resloved the issue to my satisfaction. Except Wolfermanns. Shame on them. This rating system should have a zero for zero customer service.

Terrible, Inefficient Customer Service

In December 2024, I placed an order for a six-month subscription of breakfast pastries, for a relative. They received the first shipment and asked that we not send any more shipments because they did not want that type of food. I contacted Wolferman's via a chat and asked to have the shipments rerouted to my address. I was told this was registered in their system. In February, the shipment arrived at the original address again and I contacted Wolferman's via phone and was assured they would change the address. Before the March shipment, I contacted the company via chat (which I saved) and indicated, again, shipments come to my address. Today I received notification that the third shipment was delivered to the original address. I contacted customer service, via phone, asked to speak to a supervisor and in the middle of my conversation, I was disconnected. I called back and reached a second supervisor, who told me the relative had canceled future shipments themselves. I was also offered a replacement for today's shipment to come to my home, as well as a refund for the balance of shipments. I am furious that their customer service couldn't get this right the first, or second, or third time. Would not EVER use this company again.

UPDATE 3/19/2025: Wanted to update my review to let people know that after delivery of the third order to the wrong address, Wolferman's sent a replacement order to me directly and then refunded the balance of my six-month subscription, so I have to give them some props for that.

Great products, but shipping time is AWFUL

While their products are wonderful, their shipping is UNRELIABLE and expensive. It took them FIVE DAYS to even fulfill the order. Then another SIX days for it to arrive (via FED EX?). By the time the item arrived to the recipient, they weren't even ill anymore so the gift seemed like an afterthought! I hate to sound entitled, but that seems like an awfully long time to ship prepackaged items. ELEVEN days to for a gift to arrive for an almost $20 shipping fee. Next time I'll buy local items and ship them myself!
