A 1 Star rating is too high! I wish I could rate them lower.

Everything was working fine for weeks, then it stopped. When I contacted support that's when I found out just how bad Wirex is!

The level of customer support is the worst I have ever experienced!

I provided all the information in my ticket/email and I received a copy and paste reply that clearly shows my email was not read. It's been over a week and I am still trying to sort out my issue. The support staff simply don't read your emails, they copy and paste the most useless information that is irrelevant to my issue.

Do not understand wirex actions, in EU wirex working perfectly fine, UK blocked everything, verification is a pain, but done this, im verified but still is blocked, can use my card to pay and exchange my crypto to GB only. Why this verification mess,when not working anyways. Something is wrong with them, financial institution or scam??? To much confusion, no proper info of progress etc. Don't know what to happen next 🤔

Wirex stole me every single BTC I had, while claiming as "monthly fees". They charged me .000212 BTC a month until one day they simply emptied my entire account.

DO NOT USE WIREX.

Wirex duped me. blocked my account for no reasonable reason.

DO NOT TRUST Wirex.

As an example: A year ago I sent a wire transfer of 2,000 Euros to my account. It arrived at the intermediary bank (confirmed). Wirex has not processed it, and will not respond to questions in any meaningful way.

In all the time I've spoken to them, I get a new operator each time, have to start from scratch - then they quietly close my ticket saying it's been resolved (obviously it hasn't, money not arrived).

Then they simply closed my account.

They are also contesting reviews here on TrustPilot, they inform T.P. staff that any bad reviews are not customers :D Even though I sent confirmation, scans of my credit-card from Wirex - no luck :D - Still got removed.

Imagine how many other people's bad reviews got removed!!!?

Always on sending and recieving have problems and money stuck for days at least! Using from 6 years but i had enough! BAD!!!!Poor support!

Probably the worst customer service ever experienced. As like many others I have not had access to my funds nor able to access my account. Wirex seems to always be going through a “verification” process. How can ones account be verified several times within months with no communication nor SLA as to when normal service will resume. I fear something dodgy is happening behind the scenes. Perhaps they are using customer funds to profit themselves. Surely the FCA and Ombudsman should get involved. Really need to get my money out!

424 days without access to my account or funds. Wirex don't respond to my formal complaints. Nobody use this company.

my account has been blocked for over 7 months now.
I recently received an email from Wirex that my account will be closed for no reason and my money on my account would be transferred to a BTC account that I specified.
So far the money has not been transferred to my BTC account from Coinbase.

I have more than €300 in my account and would like this back.
I hope it is finally resolved or I will take legal action to get my money back.

Hope it finally gets resolved and my money is refunded. To be continued.

Our account has been frozen for over a month. No explanation no reason. We complied with every request from Wirex.
We told them we are going to take legal action against the company. Since than they trying to intimidate me using my Facebook pictures and sharing it as I am a lucky winner of 0,5 Bitcoin ( stating that my Wirex account has been entered into a draw and I won. Well the wirex account is not in my name but my father in law’s)

They held on to my euro funds, a significant sum, for about 9 months and I was never able to resolve it. Eventually I had to resort to paying thousands in fees to change into bitcoin and then was only able to withdraw a small amount at a time, paying fees for every little transaction and reached the daily limit quite quickly also.

I have previously submitted feedback about wirex and a blocked account.

Today is 14.06.2021. and nothing has changed. The transfer of the status of the Highest Priority has not affected the solution of the problem.
I wrote again 4 times to the support service, but the answers are standard:
“ Dear Kaspars, We experienced an unexpected increase in inquiries in the last few weeks.
It will take us a tad longer to process your request.
In case you previously encountered difficulties with any of Wirex app functionality, please feel free to try now. “

Pure and utter thieving scum. They'll let you do one hassle free purchase to a crypto based seller then you'll find that every transaction thereafter will fail and your money is just sat there with absolutely no way of spending it or getting it back.

It's now been exactly one month since I transfered 1.33 Litecoin into wirex and did a couple of online pruchases. The purchases completed successfully but in addition they just erased additional 0.34 LTC from my wallet.

I opened a ticket, which took a couple of weeks to even get a reply, which stated there was an unknown, never before seen issue and that their team is investigating.

I followed up a couple of times and it's always the same answer - They're investigating.
But a simple logical thing would be to reimburse my account with the erased amount as it is an error on their side, not mine.
Highly disrespectful and no way to treat a longterm customer!

But judging by hundreds of 1 star reviews here and absolutely no interest in replying to any of them and clearing their name, it's getting pretty obvious this company has very scammy practices and quite frankly deserves to have their banking license revoked.

Don't create an account with Wirex unless you expect awful customer service and stolen funds.

I'm writing about the scammers that are Wirex. They have locked my account without reason as of the 9th May 2021. They don't reply to my requests (3 now) and have not even bothered to issue me with a "ticket" number confirming they are looking into it. Avoid these people.......be warned!!
Next step will be the small claims court.
Today 7th June, Wirex have continued to ask for an abnormal amount of data regarding my identification and bank which I have provided. However their scam continues and I hope nobody else falls for their B/S and has their funds stolen. I have raised the matter with the UK Financial Ombudsman. I had almost $17000 with them as cash and not Bitcoin. They are now telling me they will close my Wirex account in 10 days. I am 69 years old and they are trying to rob me of my money. As a side note I have today opened another VERIFIED account with the largest FCA regulated Crypto exchange in the UK with the same KYC and AML details I provided to Wirex. BE WARNED!!!! THIS IS A SCAM!

A full year without access to my account or funds. It's finally happened, a full year, 365 days of no access to my account or funds. Last update from Wirex was pretty much word for word of the very first update, 'the relevant department is still investigating....' . Do not use Wirex, they shouldn't be allowed to operate, total scammers.

I came to this app because I wanted to have my cryptocurrencies in place where I can exchange them for Euros anytime and send over to my bank account. Well the problem is (from what I understand) that they are in GB so they don't do bank transfers with Euro or US Dollars and maybe other currencies anymore. My biggest problem with them is that they inform very poorly so if you haven't read every forum problem and every FAQ you might find yourself dealing with problem which u can only resolve by moving somewhere else. In the end this website is probably good for traders and people who only want to work with crypto - but I understand some may find this website as a scam as there are some limitations which wont be told to you at first even if they could.

I had my business account closed overnight without any explanation. Now they hold my money for 2 weeks already. Customer support is a bad joke! AVOID
