Unfortunately, the item delivered was not what I ordered. Customer service responds to several emails, but they send out review emails almost daily – asking about my satisfaction. I've now submitted a review and will be getting a refund through the payment service. I expect they'll respond then – what a shame!

Advertised the wrong amount of bottles…
Advertised the wrong amount of bottles for the order, despite how good it sounded on the price. Received 6 bottles out of the 45 advertised.
Offered refund back but nothing in terms of looking after a new customer and dealing with the hassle of sending wine back to Spain.
Not happy with the response on the customer service, felt like they were more superior than a customer.

We’re sorry for the confusion caused by a temporary display error on the product page. However, for clarity, the order placed - and the confirmation email sent immediately after checkout - clearly stated 1 case (6 bottles) which is exactly what was supplied.
While the product page briefly showed an incorrect quantity, it would not be realistic to believe that 45 bottles of wine could be purchased for this price. This was an obvious error rather than a genuine offer, and the confirmed order accurately reflected the quantity purchased.
We responded to all messages within a few hours, fully explained the situation, and offered a full refund, with Winebuyers arranging and covering the return so no customer is required to ship wine internationally themselves.
We appreciate that this experience was disappointing, but we believe our response and proposed resolution were fair, prompt, and reasonable.

Delivery was a little slow but I suppose that’s to be expected as the wine was coming all the way from France – I was kept up today on shipping and it took about two weeks to arrive so something to bury mind if you’re thinking about purchasing as a last minute thing. Apart from that really good service and I will definitely use again.

Order made 13th December with a…
Order made 13th December with a delivery estimate of 19th of December, few days later i got a tracking mail that stated delivery would be made 23rd December, it never showed up and after the new year i contacted the company for an update, response was prompt and they blamed the festive period for the backlog. On the 13th Jan i contacted them again and asked to cancel the order and refund the money, they refused saying the order was still on its way. At this stage i initiated a refund through the merchant as i felt like i was being lied to, and the company has a lengthy history of failed orders ( i found this out after i had ordered). To my astonishment the order arrived January 20th, in fairness it was very well packaged and exactly as ordered, had it come sooner id have been delighted. Overall difficult to assess winebuyers, it feels like they take orders and then hope to obtain the stock later, and often never do obtain it. Hard to recommend them, i would avoid and look for a retailer that carries the stock themselves.

While delivery estimates are provided in good faith and based on information from our partner merchants and couriers, delays can unfortunately occur during peak periods such as December, particularly for wines shipped directly from producers abroad.
To clarify a key point: Winebuyers does not take orders “hoping” to source stock later. All products listed on our platform are confirmed as available by the merchant at the time of purchase and are dispatched directly from them.
We operate as a marketplace, which allows customers access to wines that are often unavailable through traditional UK retailers, but this does mean delivery timelines can vary depending on origin and courier performance.
We understand your frustration around the delay and the communication during that period, and we are actively tightening delivery expectations, courier monitoring, and escalation processes to prevent similar experiences going forward.
We’re pleased to hear that the wine arrived exactly as ordered and in excellent condition, but we fully recognise that timing is a critical part of the experience - and we didn’t meet expectations here. Your feedback is taken seriously and is helping us improve.

The order arrived a little later than expected, due to delays over the Christmas holidays and adverse weather conditions, however, once arrived in the UK, the delivery was quick and bottles well packaged. The customer support team were very helpful and quick to communicative about the delays on enquiry.
