Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Considering 85 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Customers frequently complain about the excessively high prices for mediocre and low-quality goods across multiple departments. Shoppers often encounter spoiled, rotten, or expired food items displayed on the shelves. Additionally, consumer service is frequently described as unhelpful, and employees can occasionally appear rude or dismissive when asked for assistance. Some reviewers were happy with certain staff members and specific store products. For instance, a few people praised exceptional employees in the fish and specialty departments who provide outstanding service. Others mentioned enjoying particular brand products or finding decent freshness in specific items, showing that positive experiences still happen occasionally.

Wholefoods is not as good as it used to be

This review is about the store on Johnson Ferry Rd, in Marietta GA.

Used to be a great shopping experienced but not anymore.
Produce is rotten 6 out of 10 times. They always run out of products because they don't order new stock in time.
Customer service not even close to good.

Their phone system provide incorrect information about business hours (it state the store is open until 10 pm but they close at 9 pm). I arrived at 9:03 pm but they wouldn't let me in.
Tried to play the automated message staring the business hours but the person at the door didn't care at all.
I asked for the manager but he/she refused to come.

I used to spend $200 per week but now I'm down to $25 a month and probably would stop completely.

Potrero Whole Foods - from good to terrible

The worst experience at Potrero Whole Foods in San Francisco: the store feels like a third world abandoned store with empty shelves in the middle of a day. Staff is often unfriendly and by routine unhelpful. This used to be one of the best grocery stores in San Francisco, but in the last year it changed dramatically.

Whole Foods Customer service at 6701 SW…

Whole Foods Customer service at 6701 SW 57 Ave., Coral Gables is the worse in Dade County.
Employees at customer service are lazy and not accommodating.
They have a limit to number of items to process at the customer service desk. I had 1 item more and I was told to proceed to the one of the front registers. All registers had a line of customers. I spend 25 min. in line, at the same time customer service desk clerk was entertaining herself with video on her phone.
I asked to speak with a manager, and the manager told me that this is the way it is.
I my opinion, this store does not deserve even 1 star.

Whole Foods Disrespects Consumers

I am writing to report difficulties I experienced while trying to obtain a refund at Whole Foods (WFM). On 8/24/24 at 6pm, I purchased a pack of organic strawberries at the Pentagon City WFM (520 12th St, Arlington, VA 22202) and refrigerated them immediately. On 8/27 I opened the pack and found that they were molded and rotting, seemingly from the bottom. I have to make arrangements for rides to shop, so I knew that I could not immediately return them, and it is impractical to try to store moldy produce. So, on 8/28, I contacted WFM to ask for assistance with a refund. I was issued a case# ref:!00DF00gR7X.!5004u033ONzH:ref. I was advised via email to provide pictures and receipt and that the refund would be credited back to the tender(s) used. I did so and on 8/29 was denied a refund because EBT was a part of the payment. WFM demanded that I return the rotting produce to the store. I advised that I discarded the moldy, smelly rotting produce once they acknowledged receipt of the requested pictures. I asked that they issue the $5.99 refund to the Mastercard also used at the time pf purchase. WFM refused to do so or otherwise facilitate a refund, stating "We are unable to process a refund back to your Master Card since the amount balance is insufficient. EBT purchases must be refunded at the store." This response makes no sense. What does my MC "balance" have to do with a refund? Further, WFM has no idea what my MC "balance" is anyway! I requested to be contacted by a supervisor. My request has been ignored. I have repeatedly reiterated this request in 24 hour intervals, and, to date, WFM has refused to respond. It is apparent that WFM deems customers who use EBT as second class consumers who are unworthy of the respect, courtesy and conveniences afforded to those who don't use EBT. It is unconscionable that they refuse to compensate consumers to whom they sell moldy produce. It is also egregious that WFM corporate "customer service" deliberately refuses to respond to a supervisor request.

it absolutely won't take a rocket…

it absolutely won't take a rocket scientist to figure out they make $500,000 per day and they refuse to higher people and refuse to pay employees enough to stay at this place and they prefer to have it understaffed and make lions go around the block, the management thinks it's funny and the corporate up at the top thinks it's even more funny that people have to put up with their nonsense

Amazon/Whole Foods "Delivery"

Used Amazon/Whole Foods delivery for years, but it continues to have chronic
supply chain and inventory management problems... and it's not getting better.

I am permitted to order freely, sometimes with quantity restrictions, but upon delivery, more often than not, half my order (or more) turns out all along to have been completely unavailable (apparently in some fashion that leaves Amazon completely clueless at the time of my order, and therefore unable warn me).

Amazon/Whole Foods seems incapable of reliably sourcing much of what it offers for sale, incapable of accurately representing what is actually available, and permits placement of orders for delivery when they are unable to fulfill most of the order. What they are actually offering is a complex system for customers to WASTE THEIR TIME.

Then I have to waste more time monitoring my payment method to make sure I get the refund I am supposed to receive.

All this vaunted technology... which is in reality no more capable than a 19th-century farmers market ("sorry, we're out of that... and that, and that, and that, and that as well"), and which is in no way/shape/form even remotely convenient.

Vexing. Time to start looking for alternatives.

Amazon is killing Whole Foods

Whole Foods has become horrible since Amazon purchased it. It is SEVERELY understaffed resulting in long lines, stressed employees, and self-service foods that aren't kept at the legally required temperatures and/or well beyond the time that they should be replaced. Some departments that used to be staffed by five or six employees (pre-Amazon) are now staffed by only one or two employees (post-Amazon). Unless and until Whole Foods staffs up again, I won't be shopping there.

pizza order…

I ordered pizza to pickup from the North van store on the phone. First I talked with 2 different staff who had no idea about taking an order, then the person from the pizza dept. talked to me . she had to put me on hold multiple times to make sure they have some basic ingredients like mushrooms!!! when we picked up at 7 pm as requested , the pizzas were pretty much luke warm, and the pizzas had no cheese on them what so ever!!
Very poor experience

Horrible cashier customer service

What I did not like with this grocery shopping experience at Whole Foods on Friday July 19th. That the female cashier was very rude. I said hello she did not speak back, I said thank you as I was leaving she did not even speak. I bagged my own groceries which I have no problem, I guess I was taking too long to organize my groceries and the one bag of groceries that she bagged she just threw my items in there sloppy. I did not know this cashier she was of a Indian or Pakistan descent. But what baffled me was the customers in front of me, which was a Caucasian man the cashier was smiling, she greeted him and thank him for coming to Whole Foods she did not greet me, when I spoke to her. She did not speak at all she didn't even tell me my total I had to look on the screen credit machine. Then as I was leaving it was another man behind me and she greeted him and was speaking to him and smiling so I don't know if she has a problem with African American women but her disposition was very nasty to me. I'm not sure what her nasty disposition was but she was very rude and that deterred my opinion of Whole Foods. I absolutely cannot believe the treatment I received it on Friday July 19th I will be posting this on social media and I will post this on a Google review this was insane. This was the Whole Foods in Birmingham Michigan.

I am writing review about a product.

I am writing review about a product.
I visited Clapham junction yesterday, as usual the staff are very lovely, always time for chat!!.
The product I wish to recommend is North Atlantic salmon fillets. Absolutely delicious, cooked simply. Nicer than Waitrose or M&S organic, and actually these were slightly cheaper. So succulent, can't recommend enough.

Besides the prices

Besides the prices, had a great experience with the manager Tom when I went in to pickup my online order. Turns out they shipped my order out to the wrong address and didn't have it available when I showed up. The manager made sure I was taken care of and had my new order shopped for while I hung out and had a coffee. Really made me feel important and I will be back.

A Problem Pleasantly Solved!

After reading many negative reviews, I was hesitant to call Whole Foods with a complaint. The person I spoke to, Andrew, was extremely helpful and told me to bring the item back to the store. He took the item to the appropriate department, then returned to where he told me to wait and the two of us went over to the department. Situation was solved pleasantly.
The staff in this Whole Foods (Centerville, Ohio) have always been congenial and helpful.

Overall a great place to shop

Overall a great place to shop. The store I went to most recently in Charlottesville had delicious and nutritious Urban Remedy snack/meal bars and chia pudding. They offer organic bananas. Forager brand Organic Cashew yogurt that they carry is wonderful. The nuts that they sell in bulk (plastic free!) are delicious. Unfortunately they are selling tooany chocolate items.which is.a problem because chocolate is not a sustainably crop. Other whole foods that I've been to are composting, which is great, although they do not always compost their meat and fish, which of course they shouldn't sell in the first place. I'm not sure if they compost here. I'll be back! :)

I like that they have many organic…

I like that they have many organic choices, and their foods taste okay. However, if one buys lunch etc. and decided to eat there at the tables that they have. The tables are always dirty and a lot of homeless people are always sitting around, which makes us very uncomfortable....
