Looking at 190 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many people experienced significant delivery issues, with parcels taking much longer than expected, getting stuck at depots, or vanishing. Customers frequently found tracking information useless or non-existent, offering little to no updates and leaving them uncertain about orders. Additionally, many reported poor customer service, describing it as unhelpful, difficult to contact, and often relying on automated chatbots without providing solutions. Apalling service!

Apalling service!
I was expecting a parcel this morning containing a plant order, only to be informed by whistl that my parcel had sustained damage during transit and it was not delivered! Could you please inform me what happens now? If it HAD actually been delivered, at least I would have been able to send a photograph to your company, showing the problem! Can you please inform me what I am supposed to do now to follow up this inadequate service by whistl?

Cowboy company.

I really don't know how this company can still be allowed to operate.
They are subcontractors for Yodel (who's service in my area is diabolical in itself).
Their drivers are poorly trained and use postcode satellite navigation ONLY to find addresses, ignoring the rest of the address i.e house number and street address. This means if your house is not on their pin drop, then you have no chance of receiving your parcel. They will dump it in the vicinity then take a photo of proof of delivery whether it's thrown in a hedge or chucked over a gate.
I live in a rural area, and my postcode has 41 addresses, well spaced apart from each other. The driver(s) for this area will not bother driving the 5 minutes from the centre of the postcode to find my house. When I complained to Yodel, they told me to go and call on my neighbours and ask if they had my parcel...then ask politely for it, And if I can't find it, contact Whistl and liaise with them!
Fortunately, items I buy from eBay have a delivery guarantee so I can get a refund for non delivery. But I am at the stage now where I check with the seller before buying, if they use Yodel. If so I won't buy from them.
I have emailed Whistl about the last parcel that had gone missing so I will see if they bother to reply....
EDIT: I received a reply from Whistl bouncing me back to Yodel! Diabolical.

Zero communication and days delayed

I think this is the 2nd time I've ever had a delivery with this company and both times have been dreadful. Parcel is from Temu and was meant to arrive by Feb 6. 5 days later the last update on their website was on the 5th saying "at depot", I've had zero communication. I'd expect at least an email saying it's delayed and an expected date but no, just silence. If I had the choice I would never choose this company for my deliveries, I've had better experiences with the other companies (and they aren't great either). Awful.

This would be a minus star rating but…

This would be a minus-star rating if that were possible.
Tracking showed out for delivery, then changed to delivery attempted – no one to receive, card left.
We were in all day and CCTV confirms no driver came to the door or even down the street at the stated time. No card was left.
A formal complaint was submitted and I was simply told the parcel had been passed to Yodel.
Very poor service and misleading tracking updates.

Utter rubbish

Utter rubbish. Unfortunately used by Smol - they "collected" my last order 3 weeks ago and have yet to deliver. Makes Royal Mail and Yodel look good and that is saying something!

Pointless extra step in delivery process

Honestly as someone that buys a lot of online stuff I dread Whistl being involved in the delivery it basically just adds another 4-5 days on to a delivery before they palm it off onto the company that should have delivered it from the get go. Not a good experience for people waiting for their deliveries

I am still waiting for my package

I am still waiting for my package from Musicmagpie which was dispatched late-December.
I have been informed on two occasions that the parcel is "Expected" that day but, so far, no joy.
I am now advised it is "expected" to-morrow although won't be holding my breath!
I am not happy and have suggested that I get a refund of delivery charges as delivery promise has not been kept and I have waited in for delivery - seems they have no concept that a customer's time is valuable!

way out of there depth

Absolutely way out of there depth when it comes to delivery and customer service.
Obviously copied and pasted answers to delivery queries that don't really give you an answer, more like waste your time until you give up.
Will never buy from anyone using these cowboys as a service 🙄

You'll need to whistl for it!

Every mail order item I have purchased that has gone via whistl gets lost in their system, until I then have to cancel the order and seek a refund. As I have just had to do with a book I ordered on ebay on 3rd December. Its now the 15th.Sellers should advertise they use whistl and put a warning in the description.
