Hassle free!
We arranged for a collection. Date and time agreed with the Head Office, which always replied quickly. Uplift actually early and courtious driver!
I was kept up to date with progress, could track in live time bidding and received payment 7 days later, all together a very pleasant experience.

Excellent company
Perfect collecting services and…
Perfect collecting services and communications.
Only my expectations were much higher than what my fine bottles eventually fetched, only very rare bottles will get better results.
Straightforward and satisfying
The whole process was very straightforward, Duncan was available to explain and give advice, having my whisky collected made it so much easier, and the app meant I could follow along and see how bids were doing. A good experience all round - and happy with the price my whisky achieved.
Very helpful people to deal with
Very helpful people to deal with. Sale process and fund transfer when according to plan. No surprises.
Professional and efficient without the pomp
All the steps from my door to auction prompted and guided with an easy style.
The guide price was spot on and was made on both bottles

Brilliant company to deal with for both buying or selling. Staff at their base are lovely too.
Lot Condition Warning
First, props to the company to getting payments out quickly on my sales.
However, it’s a two star as they put a label lot condition warning on a bottle that should not have had one. Unfortunately I was busy as the bottles were added and only checked once the auction had begun. I would have pulled the lots out if I’d have seen beforehand so my mistake. As a seller I recommend checking the submissions carefully as these condition warnings guarantee a lower price on the bottle, especially one on the bottle / label itself.

Easy to deal with
Easy to deal with, organised collection of the bottles, advised when the items went in the auction and then simply transferred the money.
Excellent service from start to finish!
Excellent service from start to finish. Fast and easy communication with friendly staff at the Aberdeenshire HQ. Drop off locally was very easy with no fuss. Being able to watch the live bidding was great on my lot submitted and I received the funds within 6 days. Estimation prices were spot on. Cannot recommend the Whisky Hammer Team enough!
Whisky sale of 3 Arran limited bottles
Very friendly contact, as well as online as with the pickup of the bottles. Everything very professional and easy to use. Thanks very much!
Excellent service
Excellent service with great communication, kept up to date at all times, payment received within a week of the auction. Only disappointment was my Whisky’s didn’t make the valuation prices, but that’s the luck of the draw.
Great communication
Great communication, great customer service , collection and auction. Thank you so much for your support and service. Will definitely recommend to others.
Not a place to bag a bargain
Have tried this out as a buyer in the last couple of auctions. This one I bought an Arran Amarone Cask from the UK warehouse and the previous a Bowmore 18 and a Bowmore 17 from the European warehouse. The auction is very clunky using a phone and the website (don’t know what it’s like on a laptop or tablet) - the page freezes often when you are scrolling lots. The buying and delivery processes went smoothly and the bottles were delivered in perfect condition. These bottles are available as retail (albeit the ones I bought were maybe distilled 10-15 years before those currently on the shelves). Once I added commission, insurance and delivery plus Vat and import duty for European lots, the end price was higher than retail for the lots I won. For example, in the most recent auction the strike price was £42.50, which grossed up to just over £60 with insurance and commission with delivery a hefty £15, taking the total price to £75. I could have bought the same from Arran for £55 plus £9.50 delivery - total £64.50. So, my advice for buying bottles still available as retail would be to bid no more than 45% of retail price on European lots and no more than 60% of retail price on UK lots. Overall price paid and delivery charges (if buying two or more bottles) will change these a bit, but be wary of over-bidding on lots like this. Or only bid on bottles no longer available as retail, in which case you can decide how much each bottle is worth to you.
A great company that can be trusted to…
A great company that can be trusted to provide a five star service regarding transportation of bottles and delivered on time so far I have purchased over one hundred bottles of whiskey and every single bottle was delivered in perfect condition and extremely well protected with the packaging they came in once again a total trustworthy company.
