Absolutely TERRIBLE. Bad customer service.

Absolutely terrible for a vendor! Not only do you not get booked, it is terribly expensive, not making it your worthwhile. On top of that, they make it DIFFICULT to cancel. There is no "deactivate account" button. You have to email in support letting them know you want to cancel, only for them to talk you into keeping it, over and over again having the conversations. Despite you letting them know that you want to cancel over and over again, they will keep charging you. They have the dumbest rules about canceling. STAY AWAY.

VERY UNETHICAL COMPANY.

Out of the blue, without any notice they cancelled our account. For 7 years we shared our weddings photos, collected over 60 reviews. We trusted them with all our material and today they do not answer any emails. We called their support number and got told someone will call us back. (Never happened!). DO NOT TRUST THEM WITH YOUR BUSINESS, WE LOST 7 YEARS!!!

Borderline scam

Borderline scam! I am running the studio trying to get more costumers. Of course initially Sales rep promised multiple leads a week based on my studio location and other factors. Half a year later and I have a zero business from them. When I email them all they come back to me is that I am locked in 12 month contract. It is disgusting how unethical they operate.
My suggestion to them is to be more costumer oriented and less greedy instead of giving some cliche response to this review.

Vineyards Country Club & Wedding Wire

I work closely with Heather D. on the Wedding Wire, she does an outstanding job of ensuring our business utilizes all of the features of the Wedding Wire, the way it was intended to be optimally utilized.

There were areas on the site, that weren't being used correctly she kindly and professionally pointed them out and has guided us to success. We don't have enough good things to say about Heather and The Wedding Wire. The upfront investment may initially be expensive, but well worth your investment.

Pay Close Attention to the Complaints

No need to repeat what's been said already, but I'd like to suggest checking your contract. Make sure you actually "checked the box" for auto-renewal. Trust your own eyes.

This site and other like it add worlds of confusion, stress and distrust to people making weddings. Vendors have spent hours at a time on their WW product pages, perfecting their sales pitches, posting and updating photos, videos, pricing, packages, discount offers, etc. WeddingPro (WeddingWire & TheKnot parent company), on the other hand, encourages shoppers to ignore this info by giving them the care-free ability to spam out generic, counterproductive, pre-worded, ambiguous inquiries to dozens of vendors, requesting the same info they could find on the site. No effort is made for them to move forward with consultation, commitment and planning. It stretches out the entire process unnecessarily and gets vendors and shoppers nowhere fast.

Follow-up reveals that so many of these inquiries go out with few or no shoppers remembering who they contacted or why. This generates thousands of messages WW can call “leads,” even though they contain no individual interest or useful event info. After that, WW can blame the uncertain nature of advertising as the reason vendors can’t book anything.

Interestingly, WP admits their weddings average 100 guests or less and take anywhere up to 2 years to shop. This only encourages indecision and price-comparing, rather than committing to a deserving vendor as soon as you can, negotiating a reasonable price and finally getting things done.

As for the vendors that claim success with WP, most did so on their own, establishing these sites as their main platforms for display and client contact. Hundreds of researchers have already found WP to be more expensive, yet less effective than a well-designed website and managed social media, which are more direct and within your control.

Notice the company’s review responses. All rubber-stamped, NEVER offering refunds, compromises or friendly contract termination and very often requesting your identity. Their bread & butter is contract obligations, not wedding vendor promotion.

Messaged a few months ago to inform the…

Messaged a few months ago to inform the company that when my contract expires I do not wish to renew. I ws told at the time that it was too early to cancel... THE CONTRACT ONLY SAYS YOU HAVE TO CANCEL NO LESS THAN 5 DAYS BEFORE THE CONBTRACT EXPIRES. They also kept giving me the run around about a phone call that was required to cancel??? Also not mentioned in the contract, however I did call and talk to support and she assured me that there is a note in my file that says I do not wish to renew... Today I was charged for the new contract..... I am pissed they had ample time to get everything figured out.. . I will be emailing and calling until this gets worked out and I am reimbursed for the contract I specifically stated I do not wish to enter..

The foundation of my marketing success.

With over 14 years of wedding photography as my business I cannot say enough about how The Knot has been the foundation of my marketing, and I have not been disappointed. I average about 40 to 55 weddings a year, and about %85 of them is from leads generated by The Knot.

Being in a HCOL area there is a wide variety of photographers for clients to choose from and advertising with The Knot has made my job easier. Wedding shows are time consuming and expensive, and for me, I have a much better return with my leads from The Knot.

My account representative has always been prompt with getting back to me and with answering questions. They are knowledgeable about the markets and I appreciate the feedback I receive when discussing the best strategies for my marketing.

The reviews are a important foundation for me. I will be honest, I’m not sure where the perception that less than stellar reviews are removed. I once had a 3 star…I know…not the end of the world…but I really wanted it removed. Not possible….but the advice I received on how to deal with the review proved to be exactly the correct way for me to proceed.

These have been challenging times to be in the ever-changing world of the wedding industry. Thank you to The Knot for helping me navigate with success and confidence in my marketing choices.

DO NOT SIGN UP

DO NOT SIGN UP! I’m in tears just writing this!! This was one of my BIGGEST mistakes I made as a new business owner! I was lied to regarding my option to cancel services. I asked the representative who assisted me for my initial consultation would I have the option to cancel! Her exact response was “we never have anyone who wants to cancel” and then she proceeded to speak on the leads, turn over, and how hot of an area I live in for the particular service I was offering. I told this woman that I was COMPLETELY NEW just started my business in February. She then told me that I do have that option to cancel! But again wouldn’t want to! Their calls are not recorded because I believe I was contacted from her cellphone! And was told I had to abide by the contract that was sent to me, that I was not asked to sign nor review! Nor even told about! It was attached to one of many emails they sent to me upon me signing up!
Long story short I requested to cancel my subscription in less than a month after signing up. I can’t afford it, I had 0 Leads! No more that 4 views to my storefront at the time (which were my friends who went to check it out). And I had paid for my listing to be shown at the top of the listings rotation!
I’ve done my homework on everything else regarding my business! But I was quick to jump with signing up for this platform, thinking they were a honest company! But they are not! DO YOUR research on this company! Especially regarding how leads are populated and can be a huge waste of time! Because you’ll end up getting no response! Because most likely it was a mass lead interest sent to everyone!
I don’t even want a refund! I just want this subscription canceled! Now I will have to pursue further actions to attempt to fix this situation! This has really put weight on my back as a new business owner! I hate that I ever trusted this company!

DO NOT SIGN UP WITH THE KNOT

The Knot and Wedding Wire are horrible. They lure you in with insinuations of all the leads you'll get, how much traffic they get, etc. But it's all lies and false promises, and they'll never outwardly promise anything, they're very careful with their wording, but it is heavily implied that you will get leads. The leads are all fake, people never respond, never book you. They 100% take advantage of small businesses and trap them in contracts.

Auto renews contract without consent

Upon signing up a year ago-- the sales person did not take no for an answer. Ultimately, the customers on the site never book, never respond are are extremely cheap despite the salesman saying my rates were low and could be raised for my area. I regretted signing up for the contract almost immediately. I have two months left, I log in to see my billing end date only to find out they have already renewed me for another year without my consent for 20% more. Were they ever going to tell me? I sent an email but have low hopes they will be honorable and cancel my account after seeing the terrible reviews. I cannot afford their service and it is not worth it regardless. I will be changing banks & removing all my cards. Small business beware of the knot & wedding wire.

Responsiveness to vendors is…

Responsiveness to vendors is non-existent. I would never treat a customer of mine the way they treated me. It is very difficult to contact anyone for help and I had to wait three hours for a call back. I had to beg someone to answer my email and when they did, they gave me wrong information. Would never advertise with them again.

Dont Pay WEDDING PRO: it is a SCAM for vendors-

WeddingPro/the Knot worldwide is a company that told me it would result in millions of customers and foot traffic to my site "more than anywhere else on the internet". I saw other wedding vendors I knew were on the website, and when I asked the salesperson, she said that in order to be on the website you have to pay monthly. I trusted the sales employee and believed her so I signed up for the service, seeing friends I knew on there must be paying as well. Upon 4 months with zero views (aside from my friends and family whom I asked to leave reviews on the site) and zero sales, I realized that they had been misleading me. After talking to several friends *after* (my MISTAKE) they told me they do NOT pay to be on this website, that they were just on it UNPAID. Of the “millions of visitors” they promised me, in the entirety of my payments, I have received only 48 storefront views, and 40 of those were my friends and family whom I asked to visit the site to make reviews for me (the names are there to prove it on their website and a past email I have written to my friends urging them to go onto my site). The website and “services” are a scam and services have certainly NOT been rendered. I called to ask to terminate their services on January 1st 2023. I did not ask to be reimbursed thus far, but I did ask to cancel the rest of my contract. She said they said they will not let me cancel and was greatly unhelpful, like a robot that has zero empathy for someone, but she did admit that the services aren’t working well for jewelers OR AT ALL. I am one of the only hair comb brands on there and I know my product is stellar after 10 years in business. I tried to talk more to plead with them to end this sad way of taking advantage of a small tiny business. They have threatened to take me to a collections agency and I receive a daily email with them telling me to pay them.

They Remove Negative Reviews

Did you notice if you look at a vendor on weddingwire verse other wedding sites, you don't see the negative reviews? WeddingWire controls the reviews for their vendors and will omit factual honest reviews that are negative. This is a site my friends said "do not use for your wedding planning, its not as good as the others" I should have listened!

Don't advertise with this company!
I advertised with them for one year and have received ONLY spam messages. The customer service is extremely rude and they do not care to help you, they will continue to just redirect you to your account manager.
My account manager LIED to me about pricing over the phone and is now not returning my emails or calls at all. I have been trying to cancel my account with them for days now and they are not helpful, they are threatening to involve collections even though my contract is expiring.
This company should not be in business and I hope other vendors will continue to post their negative experiences. I have seen over 1500 negative reviews of WeddingPro from just the pat 3 month alone.

Very disappointed, angry and unfortunately will have to get my attorney involved. Luckily I have an attorney on retainer but I feel horrible for all of the other people who have had to pay collections just for canceling their account, even when the contract was already up.

Don't get involved with this company.

unprofessional, uncaring, rude team. did not support our business, have very predatory practices. we went so far as to speak with business insider about it (google it) - they are horrible people to work with and really took advantage of us and many other small businesses.

What a JOKE. Expensive.
Pricing is ridiculous, customer service is so rude and unprofessional. And apparently they advertise this new woke way of saying “pronouns” as advertised on their website and Instagram. Look elsewhere to Advertise, i make more running Instagram ads.

We’ve signed up on a paid subscription and we’re promised verified leads. We got nothing and it’s a total waste of our money. They scam and fabricate leads to make it seem like we are given leads but all of these have zero credibility.

From Feeling Valued to Feeling like just another number/ dollar sign!

I feel like their customer service team is getting smaller and smaller, I went from having a quick response any time I reached out about my ad, to weeks, even up to a month for a response. Once they became WeddingPro, I went from feeling valued to just another number and dollar sign! I gave it some time but it’s been a couple years now and it’s just getting worse! If I had to give one piece of advice I’d say spend your money elsewhere!

Update: if you go to my review about The Knot the response is literally word for word the same! Again WeddingPro showing their true colors and not addressing personal concerns/ treating their customers like a dollar sign and not a business!!
