I ordered several samples from…Caution: Denial of statutory EU withdrawal rights for samples
I ordered several samples from Wallribbon to evaluate the quality. When I tried to exercise my 14-day right of withdrawal—guaranteed under EU Directive 2011/83/EU—the company refused to accept the return.
They claim in their T&Cs that standard samples (fixed dimensions, stock items) are "custom-made" and therefore excluded from refunds. In my opinion, this is a clear attempt to circumvent mandatory consumer protection laws. Customer support was uncooperative and even explicitly invited me to open a legal dispute instead of resolving the matter amicably.
If you are a consumer in the EU, be aware that this company might disregard your statutory return rights regarding sample orders
