Think twice before using their services

My experience with W1tty has been terrible. I'm thinking about filing a complaint about this “bank”.

Since I changed my phone to another one, they have been holding my money. It’s been two weeks. My cards are deactivated, and I can't even wire transfer some funds to another bank account. Customer service keeps telling me they are investigating the issue. For two weeks? The whole app does not work. Why am I paying monthly fees if the card never works?

Paying with Apple Pay is impossible in most apps. The UI/UX is terrible, bad. Completing an action on the app is a daily challenge. CS takes a whole day to answer urgent queries. I have never experienced something like this with a digital bank.

Please run as far as you can !!!

W1tty's 3% Cashback Card Falls Short on Chargeback Assurance

I have been using the W1tty cashback card, and while the 3% cashback feature is certainly appealing, my overall experience has been a bit disappointing.

One major concern I encountered was related to the card's dispute process. In the unfortunate event that your card is misused, initiating a dispute with a merchant can be a challenging experience with W1tty. Despite their own terms and conditions stating the possibility of a chargeback, I found that they refused to initiate one. This left me feeling like I was left in the dark and not adequately supported when I needed it most.

Another aspect that left me unsatisfied was the customer support through the app's chat feature. I found it to be unfriendly and unhelpful, which only added to the frustration of dealing with card-related issues.

Additionally, I faced issues with the card's functionality in certain places, particularly when trying to use it with Google Pay. It's essential for a modern card to work seamlessly with popular payment methods like Google Pay, so this was a notable inconvenience.

Worse company I ever used

Worse company I ever used , wouldn’t recommend it to my worse enemy , please guys do not use this bank , I never receive my wages from my job into my bank and then they say they can’t find it ?🤣 good job I got the money back but I would not recommend this service to anyone. Robbing c#%nts, well tried to anyways.

App with actual Customer Service

App with actual Customer Service.

I had a problem with a transaction and had to resort to the app’s customer care team. I never expect much from this, based on previous experience with other services. Imagine my surprise when an agent not only responded promptly but actually provided assistance with my query! That alone singled out the app for me.

Was supposed to be paid from my job yesterday on Friday 18th august, and when I speak to customer service they says it’s still not showing in their system , when my job have told me they have sent the money and I should of had it by now.. terrible experience so far… and still waiting on my money to go into my account🙄

Very convinced at the first start

I was searching for a cashback card and stumbled upon W1TTY, the app feels very fluent and well made and I am very convinced.
There is an error with the Quizzes, but that's nothing impacting the usability of the app.
The german translations are a bit off, but I think this will be resolved one day.
The 100€ free top up limit is no problem since you can just make a SEPA transaction.
I hope this project will grow in the future :)

1% cashback on everything. All you need to do is pay 2.5% fee on debit card top ups!!!
Since deposits via banks can be fast and free I will test the app more and change my review if I get the cashback.

First of all, Your are mathematically wrong in comparing a 1% cashback to a 2.5% fee on top up which is 0.025 per dollar toped up!! We also have a 3% cashback promotion running for more than a year so I invite you to benefit from that while it lasts.

Here are some highlights for you to consider:
- You could always transfer from your other bank for free using SEPA transfers. So I dont see how legitimate is your complain while, many fintechs Stopped offering TOP-UP by card!
- We can do not want to subsidize every service like other competitors who are burning their cash!
- Our mission is to offer high quality financial services and we are not oriented toward hype and fancy customer acquisition numbers.
- We are focused on building a strong Bank -whilst we are still an EMI license holder- that offers value products for the customers such as lending, and investments (not just stocks) in fundamentally profitable opportunities. These are the next steps for W1TTY

In any case Top-up is for free up to €100, all fees are listed on our website here https://legal.w1tty.com/eu-prices-limits-en . If you feel you have been wrongly charged, kindly reach out to customer support.

We also have a paid up plan "Made two Measure" where you can set the limits you want for a small monthly fee which is under improvement. And There additional plans due to be released in the next two month.

Impossible to close account despite multiple requests

I have attempted to initiate the closure of my W1TTY account twice in your app, the first contact was made with you over 3 weeks ago.

After first requesting to close my (inactive) account I was advised by various people in your Customer Support Chat that I’d be contacted by the “responsible team”. Nothing happened. I made the same request one week later and I was given the same generic throwaway message about expecting contact from your “responsible team”. Two weeks down the line, still nothing.

This is really not good enough, I am literally dying of a terminal illness and attempting here to get my finances in order quickly. I have absolutely zero use for the account. You are positioning yourselves as a regulated e-Money institution but this is a frankly appalling level of customer service.

I have tried to be nice about this but I simply don’t want to ask again, please close my account immediately.

I have already made contact by email but you are leaving me with no choice but to do this here as I am desperate for a quick resolution.

Misleading information!

On their price limits page it states that account top ups by card are FREE up to 100€ a MONTH.

This month of June I did just 1 top up of 67€ and was charged tax.
My last top up before this was on the 27th of May.

I talked to support and they told me that the top ups are per billing cycle. I showed them that there is no mention of that on the website but they did not help and the charge continues.

It was the first time it happend but they did not care.

Unnecessary card fees

3% cashback is great.
However, It is still impossible to know whether a certain merchant is part of the EEA or not. Therefore, sometimes by mistake you can pay in EURO but still incur card fees (1 euro for each transaction), this is ludicrous, please fix that. This happened to me twice already and whoop two euros were taken from me with no possibility to get it back.
