Faulty car at VW Heritage Yeovil
I had bought a 2022 plate VW Golf with 5000 miles from VW Heritage of Yeovil, the biggest mistake of my life, for a nearly new car the amount of issues I have had is very disappointing.
I spoke to head of business Adrian and car sales manager Neil to reject the car but although I reported initial fault under 6 months they are still not willing to honour a rejection, however they do accept I shouldn’t have been given a car with so many faults, they are happy to part exchange my car at 3k less and get me in another car for 2k more, which means for their car having so many faults I lose 5k in short space of time.
The head of business requested I take my previous review off, to which I agreed, they wanted me to give them an opportunity to put things right but it’s been two months on and nothing has happened, when I ring them they avoid coming on the phone, I get promise a call back and then receive an email full of excuses.
Customers are treated like robots, if you want to buy a faulty car, please go to Heritage of Yeovil, if you want to be treated like dirt then this is the place to go, my advice is to AVOID at all cost.
We popped in with a view to PX our 71…
We popped in with a view to PX our 71 mini for an automatic Golf. The receptionist was friendly and told me the salesman was on the telephone. Not a problem and an opportunity to look at the choice. When the salesman came out his body language and behaviour displayed total disinterest. Inside the focus was on we had visited two years ago and wanted a different model today. I explained I had changed jobs. By this point I was told it was better to make an appointment and so it went on until my wife called a halt. Maybe it’s me but we have just purchased a CRV from an independent dealer and the service couldn’t be more different- interest, friendly and attentive. Maybe I don’t fit their customer profile or the salesman was having a rough day or had personal issues. However, good VW cars are I will not be getting one from Heritage Weston. Heritage you could do so much better - pop up to Dick Lovett Mini for an exemplary service. Thank you to the receptionist- first class.
Not very happy
We have a mobility vehicle which required a MoT and service, I sent the vehicle for this and expected it back that afternoon - BUT NO! no one called to say it would not be back and when it returned the following day it was in a disgusting state and looked as if the Russian Army had done a full scaled attacked inside - it was dirty and most of all someones big muddy boots had left their marks; glad really that the vehicle is going back to motability this year and I do not have to clean up someone else's digusting behaviour.
Ezz went above and beyond for us
Picked up our new car yesterday and when I say we were thrilled with the whole experience, that would be an understatement. Ezz went above and beyond for us throughout the entire process. Thank you so much for everything, it’s hugely appreciated and we will definitely be recommending you guys.
Horrendous
Horrendous. Like many others on here, they don't seem to care once you've purchased a car.
They've had my car for nearly 2 weeks & have only contacted me once. I repeatedly call asking for updates & get no phone calls back. I will do everything in my power to not take my vehicle back here for anything - I've only done it as the car is still under warranty. Apart from that my advice is RUN & AVOID!!
Highly Recommend
From my first visit the professional, polite and courteous reception I received from Ben was more than you could wish for.
His attention to detail and they way he explains all the different options is excellent.
Everything he promised happened on time with a smile, what more can a person say.
Highly recommend this dealership.
I recently had a top class experience…
I recently had a top class experience at Heritage WSM and in particular the customer service provided by Ezz Almohaisen . He was super efficient and helpful regarding my wife’s car . Nothing was a problem. Would certainly buy another car from him.
I am very disappointed about the service and repairs
I am very disappointed about the customer service and service repair basically today I drop them a car to carrying out DSG diagnostic at 9am. They said the car will be ready in couple of hours. So I said okay, maybe by lunch time should be done. No haven’t been done so I call them at 2pm if there is any updates she said someone will call me shortly about the car, she said car is currently carrying test so I said okay. I was waiting till 17:30pm no body give a call for any updates so I call them again and ask them if the car is going to be ready today. I told her I was expecting to call me and let me know what going on if the car is getting ready today or tomorrow, no one actually cares about it. She transferred call to the guy who was repairing my car. He said the car is not ready unless t want to done some drive adaptive updates which is need to take approximately 1h so the car wasn’t ready to collect today. So after that all they have the car nearly 9h. They haven’t informed me until I call them and ask them what’s going on. I feel very disappointed either with customer service and also with repair work.!!!!!
Having given a negative reviews 2 years…

Heritage gone downhill big time
Very disappointed with the service. I bought a Tiguan 2years ago and it had a health check 2 months before its MOT and two wishbone bushes were badly worn and it was agreed that they would be replaced on the day of the MOT. I had an email a couple of days before to do a check in where I agreed to have the brake fluid changed and an air con refresh. It failed the Mot on something else which I had repaired. When I went to pay they hadn’t replaced the bushes (as it wasn’t an MOT failure) didn’t do the brake fluid or air con refresh? They did replace the bushes free of charge eventually thanks to the new service manager, for which I’m grateful.
December 5th I phoned up because I had a problem with the steering/suspension and was worried whether the car was safe to drive I was given an appointment for 5 weeks later January 9th. I ended up talking it to a local garage who reassured me the car was safe to drive but there are 2 possible reasons for what was the problem one of which could be very expensive. The car is 2 months out of warranty. I emailed the service manager of my concerns and cancel my appointment. He said they are very busy hence 5weeks for an appointment and he wished me a happy Christmas and New year.
Basically you’ve bought a car off of us it’s out of warranty TA TA
Absolutely awful
Absolutely awful, disgusting, non professional customer service.
Please read other reviews and stay away from this crooks.
Avoid at any cost.
VW heritage Bristol
Incompetent staff and awful customer service
The customer service is appalling once you’ve purchased a vehicle from VW Heritage Bristol.
I have attempted for a number of weeks to get my new vehicle looked at as it has developed a fault. I’ve tried multiple times to get a response from anyone including contacting the Head of Business, General Sales Manager and Aftersales Manager and have yet to have my car booked in to be looked at. They certainly aren’t interested in any of their customers once you’ve purchased a vehicle.
I certainly would avoid at all costs and go elsewhere or to a different manufacturer.
Took the van in for a service/mot asked…
Took the van in for a service/mot asked them to check a couple of issues I have noticed…one being concerning/serious where the front suspension/wishbones /unknown…wonders at high speed and any bump in the road feels it like hit pot hole. Also an oil leak………
Front of house came out and told me the van passed the MOT. I then asked what they thought about the pre highlighted issues, (I notified them of 2 weeks ago) and he looked mystified and said it came back ok after they took it for a spin around the block.
I then noticed the mechanic pull up outside, so I went and spoke to him and he said he would need to test drive it to diagnose it.?????
As for the oil leak….. it wasn’t even mentioned.
Any way even tho the van has warranty, I am now booked in to a trustworthy mechanic to actually look into the issues and I will then call up headquarters when I have the findings. Expect more lies……
Good riddance
Expensive - Shop around
Was looking to book a two year service at 16K miles on our Golf so we rang Heritage Weston-super-Mare and was quoted £437 which seemed very expensive. We shopped around and had it done at Inchcape VW Swindon for £255. They were very efficient and we saved almost £200.
Invoiced correct part and sent wrong…
Invoiced correct part and sent wrong part. Customer service is only good at ignoring issue. Can not even get a reply, let alone sorted out. Very quick to take my £550....??????
ABSOLUTELY SHOCKING SERVICE
Without a shadow the worste car dealship i have used in over 30 years.
The staff are rude and arrogant and customer service is poor to say the least.
£27,000 on a brand new car that seems like it spent the first 12 months in their workshop ,if of course you can get it booked in.
Overcharged on on first invoive which they blatantly denied until we memtioned the Financial Ombudsman when all of a sudden they did get up of their arses and do something about it
Two new steering wheels, engine oil light, faulty sendors, faulty anti brake issues, mould growth to nname just a few from a BRAND NEW CAR!
Vast majority of the tine they just fobbed you off,
Must be the way you wash your car when parking sensors failed.
Must be the way you drive when the cars automatic braking failed?
Must be weather conditions when sensors didnt work properly?
On collection the car was not cleaned at all and the respose was
"Well its only a lease car
We asked ffor the oil level to be checked when the warning light came on yet again,,to be told
'So you cant check oil on a dipstick then?"
Just some of the beauties put towards us.
AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE unless you are addicted to bring treated like a child and like being completely ignored by arrogant and rude staff in particular the young members of staff who need to learn some respect.
I can honestly say i cannot think of anything good about this branch whatsoever or the car come to think about it.
Unfortunately although i would like to i cannot rate the dealership as zero stars or the car involved
Walk with your wallet people,we did and we pick our new Audi up next week
Good luck.
Don’t expect customer service here
Customer service is greatly lacking at this dealership, if you are wanting to be valued and expect good communication I would suggest you go elsewhere. Ordered a brand new car March 23, waited 2 months to test drive the car. Even after complaining to sales manager he admitted to forgetting to call me back and arrange! Roll on to test drive day and a discussion about finances, a ‘new deal’ was agreed “remember that figure”. Day before collection and paperwork is sent across to sign, wrong agreement! Their response… that shouldn’t have been done, don’t know why that was done etc etc. 48 hrs and chasing the dealership no authentic apology and no movement towards rectifying the situation just a circular conversation explaining how it couldn’t happen (the new deal). On refund of my £500 deposit which they had received in March 23 I got a ‘sorry about that’ …. Seriously this is how you value customers and mange a business?! So down the road to Hyundai I went - pick up a brand new car Wednesday !
Trying to order parts and they don't respond…
Trying to order parts and they don’t get back you by email as try to order over £500 with them I put all basket and need one other bit at same time so don’t have to pay for p&p
Still no response they used to be really good when you could call them over the phone and five star now the customer service is really bad one star if that I think try justcamper if no response by tomorrow as wasted day already
Not a good experience, be careful
I came to this dealer because I wanted to go somewhere I could trust. So far it has been a pretty bad experience and I have no trust in them.
It took nearly 2 weeks and a couple of false starts for them to bring the car from 30 miles away, resulting in me having to mess my workplace around changing time off. On my appointment the chap I was meeting was busy and so another guy took me for the test drive, then someone else came with documents, then the original guy took the payment, it was all really confusing (and took the best part of 4 hours) and then when the finance documents arrived in the post they had started me on an agreement I did not want (I didn't want pcp). It then took them 6 days to tell me the interest rate, this meant that the withdrawal period nearly expired (they had also said there was no withdrawal period - it is 14 days for anyone who needs to know and once you instigate the withdrawal you have 30 days to pay. Note that they apply daily interest in this period too).
Overall I am really disappointed, they seemed nice enough but now the car is sold they don't give a stuff and I am starting to think they intentionally messed me around with responding to questions about the finance agreement so that I would become trapped.
Frustrating, ineffective, service-with-a-grimace
my car is under warranty and has developed two minor faults, but i wanted them fixed. I've emailed Heritage and got it booked in to be fixed. Once its booked in, Heritage call me to ask what the faults are? I've already told you by email, i say. Can you just tell us again?
24hours later they call to tell me that the faults i have described don't exist or they cant replicate them. So they haven't done anything. If I want anything else i'll have to rebook it again. I had asked them to wash the car while they had it, they are located near to a rail yard and in an area of a lot of seaguls. They hadn't even done that.
Just a pointless waste of time talking to them. I'm sure VW would be embarrassed if they knew how they speak to customers.
