Volusion....Best Product and Support For Your Online Store

I wanted to open an online store so our customers could purchase products and services directly from us in an online arena. After some investigation, I selected Volusion based on reviews I saw. Volusion's support staff walked me through setting up my store. They gave me almost instant answers to my questions and concerns in regards to the online store. I get answers either by email or phone within a couple hours usually. I was very surprised at how quickly the Volusion online store orders started coming in. We have more than doubled our consumable orders, reduced our support staff time on phones,and given our customers the experience they have been asking for. I continue to be impressed with the great product and support I receive from Volusion

Simply works and the customer support…

Simply works and the customer support is excellent. My site is very simple and after a long learning process as I am a newbie to this environment it all fell into place one day and now I quickly navigate the site. Highly recommended!

Volusion cannot bcc Trustpilot on the…

Volusion cannot bcc Trustpilot on the shipping/tracking emails sent to customers on our store. They only allow the bcc to happen on an order confirmation. This opens us up to negative reviews for cancelled orders due to using stolen credit cards/fraudulent sales on our site. Now we have to do it manually, which is a pain. I would recommend using a different e-commerce platform that is more user friendly.

I love working with the Volusion team

I love working with the Volusion team. Whenever I have an issue they take as much time as is needed to resolve it. They have incredible patience with someone like me who is only mildly savvy about tech stuff and they are so polite!!! I'd give them 15 stars!!!

Excellent tech support. Makes being a small business possible (not easy) but possible.

I have been a Volusion customer since 2009. The technical support at the company has gotten better and better. I love that Volusion does not charge what is called "revenue share" from my website. Volusion offers a solid deal on pricing. The only reason I am not putting in 5 stars is because they keep changing the Admin back office where I enter phone orders and the current version is much less user friendly and efficient than the one 18 months ago.

Volusion is clunky and confusing

Volusion is clunky and confusing, with lots of bugs deeply embedded into the user experience. Sometimes it seems like you added a feature, then some update half broke it, but you left the feature in anyway. Things other eCommerce platforms do in a breeze take hours of frustration on Volusion. (Like photo thumbnail resizing and adding images.) I read that the original founders have returned to Volusion, so maybe some of these things will be addressed.

Why I have been happy with Volusion

I have read online reviews about different e-commerce platforms. I used to use CubeCart in the very beginning (12 years ago), but then needed to upgrade. After shopping around back in 2013, I discovered Volusion, and what set it apart from the other platforms was the fact that Volusion did NOT charge per order or for a % of sales volume. Volusion charged one flat monthly fee and nothing more. That very much attracted me. I was very pleased when they decided to include the import/export database function as a standard feature to my package, as I am very much used to directly accessing the MySQL databases, and importing/exporting databases makes accessing and uploading information MUCH easier and more convenient. Although there are some features that I'd like to see added, I have been happy with the design and coding assistance I've received from the Volusion tech support team. They are always professional and helpful, and if they are not able to help me immediately, they then refer my query up to the respective department, and I then receive the answer or assistance that I need. I don't know why others online are very critical of Volusion, but being a one-person company, I have very much, sincerely appreciated Volusion's tech support as it is almost like having my own in-house team. Having that kind of support, compared to my previous experience with CubeCart, has provided such relief to me and made my life and work less challenging. Thanks go out to the tech support staff! Also, I like the Volusion webinars that provide such valuable information. Perhaps I am naive, but I get the sense that Volusion doesn't just want to make money off its customers. I get the impression that Vollusion sincerely wants its customers to succeed, because if Volusion's customers succeed, then Volusion succeeds, which is the right philosophy for a company to have.

Minor Irritations, But Still 5-Stars

There are only two things that cause me anxiety! One, I like the old system of service tickets. I can write about a problem and walk away. Now I have to stick by to "chat" with an agent. Sorry, but I have other things to do. Second, the on-page editing tool is a little difficult to use. Maybe its just me who lacks the practice and experience of using it?

Good company to have host your web …

Good company to have host your web business. Customer service is helpful and they respond quickly. Website options are plentiful. Only drawback is data overage costs. Overall a great web hosting service.

I have been wit Volusion for about 15…

I have been wit Volusion for about 15 years. I tried other Platforms but at the end of the day Volusion has the best product. No headaches with plug-ins that dont work together well needed. Everything set up and ready to go. Just a small learning curb which is minimal compared to other platforms such as Shopify & Woo.

Cart operates smoothly

Cart operates smoothly. The cart works well. I give that 4 stars... For the way Volusion operates I give 3 stars. Volusion is Slow to add new features and hard to give input on needed features. Only 4 per site. Well, new needs keep popping up and 4 is negligible. Tech support is ok but can be a long phone wait. Sometimes you need an answer NOW and call back just doesn't cut it.
Big and Pricey for added marketing, seo, design and other services. Prices geared for the big stores, not the under 100k. Doesn't offer entry level - ie low priced starter marketing or seo services. Could use a package at $200 per month. Should be able to do SOMETHING for that rather than $850/month. Over a year or two of a mini package, its possible that one could then afford their more expensive services. The "Devoted account executive" is a myth. Never received that service or support from anyone checking in with me each month and asking what I could use help with.

The Volusion Experience

I have been very happy with my overall experience with Volusion so far. They have provided me with the knowledge base that is necessary for me to build our website. They are available 24/7 when I have questions and have been able to help me work through every issue so far. They have even suggested third parties to help with the programming. I would recommend this company to anyone looking to build a new website.

Very nice people to speak with.

All of the people I've spoken with are extremely nice and I enjoy working with them. I do have to say though, that some of the tech support people are more knowledgable than others. A couple of times I've had to call back because the information I was given to solve a problem didn't work.
