VIVAAERO AIRLINES ARE SCAMMERS!!!!!!!

How in the world is this airline allowed to get away with stealing money from customers?! Someone needs to do something! We lost over $1,400 because they cancelled our family vacation flights. They promised to refund due to the airline themselves cancelling our flights but never refunded the money. Regardless of what phone number you call them at, no one answers and when they do, they hang up on you and are very rude! We even purchased insurance for our flights and we filed a claim and it was denied because the airline claims "we were at fault for the cancellation". After reading eveyone's reviews, I can see we are not the only ones with this type of experience. How in the world has this airline gotten away with all this? This can't be legal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The airline owns me almost 200 Euros!!!

The airline owns me almost 200 Euros!! I never got my money back that they stole from my card. I bought one ticket, but they accidentally let me pay 2 times for the same ticket. After hours of trying to reach them by phone they never responded. By email they promised me to send me the money back. But now months later I still didnt receive my money!!

I have tried to contact them for 2 months

I have tried to contact them for 2 months now. I even tried to contact them in CDMX, and no one wants to be responsible for talking to me. I have called them over 20 times, both on spanish and english numbers. I have nver received an answer.

My flight was cancelled, and they would give me a electronic certificate, but the link doesnt work. I never get an answer on whatsapp, phone or in the airports.

Don't waste your time and money

Don't waste your time and money! VivaAerobus doesn't care about customers at all
Irritated people, narrow minded, bad temper at the Mexico City boarding gates and from ground coordinators. Passengers treated as cattle with very rude manners! The worst airline I personally have ever dealt with, very awful experience.

Beware! This is the worst airline in Mexico!!

This is the worst airline I've ever dealt with. We were part of a collision on the highway on the way to the airport, which blocked the roads for two and a half hours for investigation and debris removal. We finally arrived just around boarding time, but they wouldn't allow us on the flight because of our unchecked baggage. We contacted customer service at least 10 times in the two hours before this to reschedule our flight, but no one answered.

We emailed as well and no one responded, not until 1 month later!!! Only to say that sorry, they can't (or won't) do anything, no voucher, no discount, nada. They treated us with absolute disrespect and inconsideration. They don't care about their customers or their well-being, just money.

We are travel bloggers, so this will be known to many thousands of people. All of our Canadian & American friends will no longer be flying with them either. Super disappointed! 😞

Missing Items by Flight Attendants.

I get on the plane and one of the flight attendants is waiting for me to put my luggage in the top cabin. So I ask the same flight attendant, do I still have time to use the restroom, didn't say a word just pointed to the back. As I rush to the restroom I leave my sweater on my assigned seat. When I come back my sweater was gone. I start asking people did anyone see a blue and black sweater. Keep in mind this sweater has sentimental value to me. So I'm in panic mode.
I suddenly get a reply from a loud voice in the front, I took it down! Same gentlemen I asked if I could use the restroom.
I asked why did you do that ?
He's response was " Just pick it up at the airport... I asked who's sweater it was and no one responded "
So I just sat thinking... Why would he think the property was left behind when the plane is almost done boarding.
Anyhow so I get back 4 days after the trip to Puerto Vallarta and right away went to the airport asking for my belonging. " You might guess ". No one has seen it. Of course it's a nice expensive sweater.

Beware people, Tijuana airport / Viva Aerobus airline is not to be trusted.

Anyone in this airline; investors, operations, staff, members that want to make a good. Please help with a follow-up report do an investigation do what's right for the better of travelers.

THE WORST AIRLINE THAT HAS EVER EXISTED

The worst experience I’ve ever had with an airline. Staff service is awful!!!! They treat you worst than an animal. Delayed flights, overbooking, and no help whatsoever with connecting flights.
This was my first and last trip with them. Please, save yourselves the trouble. 👎

Water from sink? Really? Not even water offered as courtesy service?

They are not that cheap to not even offer water to the passengers. I asked for a cup of water to take a pill and they gave me water from the sink. I couldn't believe they did that. It tested disgusting. Even the water is for purchase. Pathetic!!!
No pride at all. Also, they offer a wifi that doesn’t really work.

The only good thing about my flight was that we made it on time to LAX even though it was delayed for 30 mints the fly from Mexico City.

I don’t want to fly with this airline again.

The worst airlines I have been in first they changed our flight we were a family of 4 our 2 little girls were scattered not even sat next to us horrible experience. If I was you don’t book with this horrible aiirline

dont check-in any valuables

Several items were stolen from my luggage. When I arrived at LAX, I had to spend some time at Customs and Border Patrol due to my visa status. By the time I was verified, the luggage carrousel had stopped and they took my luggage somewhere. When I asked where I was referred to an office that was closed. I had to go home without my personal belongings. The next day I returned to locate my luggage, which I was able to do, luckily. However, when I checked on the items inside my luggage, I discovered that all of my earrings had been stolen along with a couple other smaller items.

Never flying with Viva Aerobus again.

Worst airline ever

Worst airline ever, our conected flight from Cancún-> Guadalajara was delayed by 8 hours when we got to mexico city and we got nothing offered, no place to sleep, no place to store our stuff, no customer service whatsoever by phone or in person. Personel was very rude and unwilling.

Absolute horrible experience, for me it was the first and last time i will use this airline. Should've read the reviews on beforehand but at least i know now it is horrible on first hand experience

No one to contact

They changed my flight with a lay over of 8 hours vs. 1 hour. I received an email and I've been calling them for 2 weeks and their customer service number just hangs up on me each time.

This is a pathetic airline

This is a pathetic airline. Our luggage was lost for 2 days on or arrival. On our flight back our flight was canceled without any warning. There customer service actually sucks , we’ll even worse than that. Horrible experience

I had problems with this airline before…

I had problems with this airline before , but I really thought it was just a one time thing . Well it happened that my name was put in wrong, as I needed the two names and two last names . I had two hours before boarding the plane, I called customer service , they said they could not do anything . They said to email them, which I did ! No response “ as I imagined. Then a lady at the counter said let me help you , which I thought she was . Then I see she just has my passport and ticket Judy on the counter . Never tried to help. I feel they were just waiting time to psss so they can keep the money as usual . Same thing happened to two other customers going to a different destination same airline. Till now no response on the airline and as they said nothing they could do . Other airlines would had done it at the moment in fixing the problem. How do I know ? Because I have been through difficulties and it has been fixed. Well excluding spirit !!! Thanks so much for being so incompetent .

Worst airline I have ever used

Worst airline I have ever used. Do not recommend! Paid for the infant package for them to charge me again 590 pesos at the gate to bring my stroller on the plane when I paid it with the ticket. When we arrived in Guadalajara they had lost the stroller that they had just charged me to bring on the plane it made no sense how I paid them twice yet they never found my stroller. I had to carry all my luggage and both of my infants bc the stroller was never found. Will never fly with them again

AVOID AT ALL COSTS

I wish I had read reviews here before booking a flight with them. I was unable to travel so thought out of courtesy I would cancel the flight.
Impossible online. I am in the UK so stupidly phoned their call centre. I do speak some Spanish so thought I would try but the line quality was awful so I rang back to speak to someone in English. Despite choosing that option, I got a Spanish-speaker on the 3 occasions I tried. Cost of calls: £32.
I found out my outbound flight had been cancelled so thought I could get a refund. The email said if I clicked on the email to not reschedule, someone would call me. No one did and they claimed they had.
Cut a very long story shorter, my voucher is 100% impossible to use and every time I message them they tell me to ring the call centre, regardless of how often I tell them I can't.
I have no idea how this company have any customers. I can only assume it is idiot foreigners like me who don't know how dreadful they are.

This is absolutely the WORST airline…

This is absolutely the WORST airline ever! Avoid it! They cancel flights without notice and delay flights 7 hours without notification! No one to answer the phone. No customer service. No matter what you’re paying, it’s NOT worth it.

Never again!

I flew from Puerto Escondido and was refused to be boarded without any explanation other than my reservation had been cancelled. I was unable to buy a ticket for the same flight at the airport so bought a second ticket for the next flight hoping I would be refunded for their mistake. It's been 2 months on and I am none the wiser as to where my £350 refund is!
(This is the short version of an extremely terrible day of travel with this poor excuse of an airline!)

LONG DELAYS AND BAD COMMUNICATION

over four hour delay leaving from Guadalajara to Mexico City flight VB 1061 on May 23. Blamed delay on scheduled maintainance. Mismanaged information. No effort to update information to enable people to restfully wait. Overall experience mediocre. Will attempt not to ever fly again with them.

NEVER FLY WITH THIS COMPANY

My flight, 19MAR from Los Cabos to Monterrey was 55 minutes late getting to the terminal in Los Cabos. I asked the flight attendants numerous times during the flight about making our connection in Monterrey to Houston. The flight attendants repeatedly advise me that the plan would wait for us to ensure we make our connection to Houston-IAH.  Once arriving in Monterrey we were directed to the Viva aerobus counter where we were told that the plane was full and the gate was closed. After waiting for over an hour for someone to tell us our options and speaking to two different supervisors, we had to take a flight to San Antonio (not Houston) the next day. I was told by both supervisors (names in the attached picture) that Viva aerobus would reimburse me for the rental car fees so I could drive 3hours from San Antonio to Houston IAH, my original final destination. Its been 2 months since I submitted reimbursement documents but still no one from your company has responded.

I was traveling with 4 other family members, 2 kids and 1 elderly adult (wheelchair assisted). We waited at the Monterrey airport from 7pm to 11:45PM (5 hrs) for flights to be rearranged and transportation to come take us to the hotel. This entire experience has been extremely stressful, tiring, inconvenient, interruption of our vacation and schedule, a disaster and terrible memory.
