Although theoretically a fully electronic bank, they are also more bureaucratic than traditional banks. Also in Greece, they are not affiliated with the official government Commercial Registry but are said to be told by the legal representative of the business. For example, if, according to the official registry of the business, it is AAA and the legal representative of the business states BBB, then they will accept that the business is called BBB and not as officially stated in the Commercial Registry. Great attention! Not recommended!

I'm just sad to have been so enthusiastic on my praise for this company for the past 2 years to everyone that got in touch with me.
I feel they acted in the name of profit instead of doing their best to keep their happy customers fulfilled.
I really believed they had noble intentions and their customer service had always been impeccable to me until now.
Unexpectedly i opened my account today and without having received any direct info on that, i found out that i have been paying 4,99€ monthly, for the past year, in fees to this company without knowing about it.
Truly shameful act that doesn't fit the super high standards i have shared through my feedback about this company to everyone that would care to listen

Diabolical service.faulty pos machine, refusing to replace. Obviously they want me to spend another 300 euros on a new machine. Ill take my custom elsewhere.
Also, they take months to answer messages. Don't bother, there's better out there.

Appalling customer service waiting weeks for verification just for my account to be terminated without any useful information as to why. Spent an hour on the phone to be told there was no information for them to give. Then spoke to the online robot to be told either start the process again or go somewhere else!!
How can I start the process again if I dont know what was wrong with the initial verification??? Was told to email support so emailed but the response was I needed to email from an email connected to an account……. But because they terminated it (without explanation) I can’t even contact support without trying to verify another account!!?
If you cannot communicate when trying to onboard a company then it doesn’t particularly bode well in the future if there’s an issue. The whole process was painful.

DON'T CREATE A COMPANY ACCOUNT
They say they need 1-4 days for verifying your account,I've been waiting for 50 DAYS. Customer support provides 0 help with speeding up the process.

Warning.
As an e-commerce owner selling products from the EU to the US signing up was fine. After a month of smooth sailing with lots of sales they suddenly stopped our payment gateway because we are selling to US clients. This payment issue lead to missed sales of approximately $6000.
No explanation has come why they suddenly decided to stop providing the gateway.
I would not recommend.

An incompetent customer service team claiming they cannot intervene in case of a disputed transaction, even though many competitors handle such situations without any issue. The company doesn’t even bother to check if the merchant clients they work with are honest. The very least they could do when a fraudulent business is reported is to open an investigation, but no—they won’t do anything because, according to them, they’re just a payment platform. So be aware that while honest businesses might use this provider, it does not guarantee your order will arrive, and you’ll have no protection. I will never use this service again and absolutely do not recommend it. Special mention to the customer service team members who make spelling mistakes every three words—this is no exaggeration. It reflects a complete lack of professionalism.

I have used the Viva.com wallet since 2024 so that some customers could pay with a PIN via my mobile phone. Apparently, while working, I accidentally clicked on a pop-up banner in the Viva.com app and, without realizing it, I agreed to a so-called "Tier pricing package". no warning, no email with an agreement, nothing. A few days ago (January 2025) there was suddenly a negative balance of more than €800 on my Viva.com account, neat as I am, I neatly supplemented this from my other payment account in complete confidence, I immediately received the Customer service asked where the negative balance actually came from. After days of miscommunication with customer service, someone was able to tell me that the negative balance resulted from not achieving the monthly sales volume as stated in the Tier pricing package that I supposedly agreed to by clicking on a banner. Until that moment I was completely unaware (made!!!!) of the agreed Tier pricing package and associated costs. To my great surprise, it only concerned the months of April and May. a complete deception. Even the costumer service employee admitted this. Unfortunately, they were unable to do anything for me, as I had already replenished the negative balance from my regular checking account out of ignorance. I feel extremely scammed and would like to warn everyone about this fraudulent company. I will also take legal action to reclaim the amount wrongly taken. Don't fall for this!
Note:
Offcourse Viva.com responds with a template answer, that wont pay back the more then €1000,- they unrightfully took from me. We reported the dutch police, Consumentenbond , and now we (as another Trustpilot reviewer advised) take our complaint to The Bank Of Greece. We will never except a bank steal money of us, we are honest people and want do honest bussiness.

The worst customer service ever, they recommended me you lepre a loan, on 20/12/24 I paid all my debt but Vivawallet and Youlend continue to withdraw money from my account blaming each other. unbelievable

Very bad customer support and the messaging app (Viva bot) is practically useless and not accounted for when in a dispute.
I wanted to cancel my account and had to pay an extra month because my messages with their "automated" system are not working
The viva team managed to fulfill my cancelation with a 'bit' of a delay that i had to pay in the form o a monthly subscription. i do not feel any happier than before

Sketchy service but ultimately I'm editing to 2 stars as we finally got the fees back, after raising a complaint with the bank of Portugal and terminating the contract with viva. Our experience:
We contracted viva.com for our business for a year. After month 6 they decided to apply a 19 euro per month charge for using the service, without ever seeking our consent. The fee went unnoticed because of their sketchy system of displaying payments - you only see what goes in and out, not the fees applied by viva unless you seek a specific tab within the service.
I contacted viva and they refused to refund the fees. They said perhaps they can be refunded after cancellation, which we then proceeded to do, over a lenghthy process. Finally got the fees refunded today, 3 months post complain - ridiculous they prefer to lose customers and make their lives more complicated going through the process of returning their machine, having to find a different tpa provider and cancelling the contract, then refund money they took illegaly by saying 'we reserve the right to change terms and conditions at any time'.
No you don't. Unless the customer agrees to pay, you have no right to take payments without explicit consent.

I don’t need advice on how to run my business, yet that’s all I got instead of the simple solution I requested. I was crystal clear: I only needed incoming card payments. Instead, I got irrelevant suggestions and a lack of basic support.
On top of that, my IBAN was never activated because “there are no sales in the last month.” Guess what? I’m a psychologist—I don’t sell products! I asked ofc closure of my account, hope they can deliver that. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER.

This company is basically stealing clients! What starts with a free plan, where u are only charge with transaction fees, all of the sudden, without any communication or consent, they start charging you directly 5€ every single month😮 plus the normal transaction fees, then off course , because they are really trying to steal people, you can only close ur account if you pay! In the end u pay or you pay!

On February 27th, 2024, Viva Wallet restricted my account, completely freezing my business funds and preventing me from accessing or using them. Since then, I have been in constant communication with their team, hoping for updates or resolutions – the kind of basic service you’d expect from a bank or payment solution. Months later, they told me the funds would be transferred after I informed them that I no longer wished to be their customer. However, instead of resolving the issue, they mistakenly referenced a completely different account containing just 1 EUR – an account I never even mentioned!
After admitting their error, they promised to fix it but have provided no updates or resolution for nearly 10 months. All I’ve gotten are generic responses like, “We are able to confirm that the matter is under thorough review by our specialists.” This is unacceptable for a business, especially when dealing with critical funds.
This company operates with zero accountability. They refuse to return customer funds, and their so-called "specialists" seem utterly incapable of solving cases or providing real solutions. Their behavior feels less like a payment provider and more like they’re holding money hostage. If their security team enjoys withholding money this much, they might consider switching careers to bank robbing instead!
I cannot emphasize enough how terrible this experience has been. Avoid Viva Wallet at all costs. They are a nightmare to deal with, and I wouldn’t wish this experience on anyone.

Similar to what another reviewer experienced, Viva started charging a 4,99€ monthly fee without clearly communicating it. I only accidentally noticed it due to the negative balance in my otherwise dormant account, and I had to pay it because Viva's FAQ states that my balance must be zero to request account closure.
