Very disappointing experience

Very disappointing experience. I raised an issue weeks ago, and despite Vinted stating that reviews take up to 48 hours, I have received no feedback or updates. The lack of communication and support has been frustrating. I hope this issue is addressed soon.

Caution in using Vinted.com

I had liked using Vinted except for the difficulty in communicating-specifically in receiving a response from them. I had ordered something which arrived while I was away due to illness. Upon my return I learned that the package was returned to the seller who then decided to keep what I bought and returned the purchase price. In error Vinted interpreted this as my being the seller and demanded that I provide a third party company with my identification papers although they refunded the amount. In attempting to explain i was met with silence. I have continued writing to vinted with no response. I have been blocked from using my account whether by credit card purchase or by using the balance on my account. I have resorted to legal means however i question the results. It is very disappointing that companies inexperienced in customer service and new to the (international) markets respond to their clientele in this manner.

Items often are in worse condition than described

I have purchased four items from different sellers and two of them had rips/holes in them when they arrived. One seller said it wasn't like that when she mailed it... yea right. She refused to refund it and they sided with her. The other item I didn't notice until I had washed it and put it on the first time and by then it was too late to ask for refund because I had "accepted item." So BEWARE and CLOSELY INSPECT items as soon as you receive them!!

VINTED Immediately BANNED My Newly-Created ACCOUNT

I decided to join another Online Selling Site in addition to the one I've used for years.
So I created a Vinted account for the first time - and I was immediately BANNED for potential fraud.
The email notification of such was not sent to my personal email account; instead it was sent to the newly-created Vinted account email.
The Vinted Facebook Page is not up to date - since year 2020, yet recent comments are made by "customers".

I strongly suggest - To sell your items, try a more popular Online Selling Site.

The customer service has no empathy, nor common sense.

The customer service has no empathy, nor common sense.They seem to just allow people to claim something wasn't delivered when USPS clearly identified when and where it was delivered exactly.

So, basically, they just allow people to take stuff from you with no payment and tell you to F-off and figure it out yourself.

I was even kind enough to make a low-ball price drop for the buyer. They got a great product for free because Vinted doesn't care about sellers' rights.

Use another company. This one sucks

How can such a major company have no actual customer service?

If you need help there is no actual human to talk to or even explain the situation, you just get an automated message with a link to ‘contact us’ which does not work.

I bought some adidas trousers that didn’t fit. I sold them on. The person I sold them to claimed they weren’t legit. They may be right but I didn’t notice. The automated adjudication service asked me to provide evidence of their legitimacy I.e. a receipt from adidas which obviously I didn’t have because I bought them on vinted itself. There was no way to explain the situation to an actual human, or any email address to contact. Then my account was suspended! I had been in touch with them via the only email I could find for their legal team but they did not provide a response to the actual problem. So now I’m £40 down and my account was deleted.

I am very disappointed with the…

I am very disappointed with the automated support (agent Wafa). My parcel was damaged by the courier company during transit. I provided clear photos proving that the item was packaged securely in a solid box. Despite the evidence, Vinted support closed the case using copy-paste templates, accusing me of bad packaging and refusing compensation. The package was literally destroyed by the carrier, which is not the seller's fault. I demand a review of transaction

Very bad app

Very bad app, I am a reliable seller with over 900 review all positive and no problems with my items. I got blocked only because I relisted some items and when contacting customer service they just copy paste same answer

Your AI bots are m*rons

A bored Karen reported my listing as a Photo from the internet. It was an AI generated photo, which is permitted for a while now. They restricted my account for 3 days. I sent a message trying to explain this. Well, 7 days passed until I finally got a response from "Mary". He/she/it explained my photo was removed beacuse it was a low quality photo. It was not low quality. Of course I can't even reply to their message now. Vinted is the most idiotic selling site in Europe. I hope Poshmark finally becomes available here too one day. Vinted doesn't care about buyers or sellers.

If you hate this website as much as I do, but you are forced to use, due the lack of alternatives, NEVER EVER EVER pay for bump. Vinted doesn't deserve the financial support. Wish I could find the owners and feed them bugs.

Worst customer service ever

Worst customer service ever. When they eventually acknowledge you, they don’t even read what has been sent to them. They ask for the same info but when you reply, the only option is for it to go to an inbox and you get an automated response saying the inbox is unmanned. 6 weeks and still no further forward

My account has been restricted without the reason. Support is not answering, maybe sleeping or something. 7 days passed and still no answer.

Vinted literally supports criminal activity

I have sold many things on Vinted. All with 5 star reviews. Then recently I sold a brand new Columbia mens coat - it was immaculate. Packaged it in one of those plastic sealed bags same as always. Buyer claimed it 'came undone' in the post, mark on it looked like chalk. Vinted gave him a full refund and cancelled the order, thus he gets to keep the coat too. Looks like a reseller, will obviously sell my coat on in a few months time. Obvious theft and Vinted have done nothing. I'm £48 out of pocket for a coat worth at least £70. Don't go near it.

Accusing me of counterfeit items

Tried twice to post authentic Tiffany packaging for jewelry and they declined to list my items twice stating it was potentially counterfeit even though I placated them by including photos of my items! Not worth the effort

I’m honestly done with this platform

I’ve been selling on Vinted for 5 years, but I’m honestly done with this platform.

This is now the SECOND time a package has been lost and somehow I’m the one who has to pay for it. I reported the issue immediately, then support told me they needed confirmation from the buyer. The buyer confirmed the package was lost… and after that? Complete radio silence from Vinted for an entire month.

Meanwhile the buyer kept messaging me asking for a refund, so eventually I refunded them myself because Vinted support was doing absolutely nothing.

The SECOND I refunded the buyer, suddenly Vinted replied with:
“Unfortunately, as you have already cancelled your sale and the refund was therefore issued to the buyer, we can no longer help you in this situation.”

So let me get this straight:
Your shipping process loses the package, support ignores messages for weeks, and then the moment the seller fixes the situation themselves, you wash your hands of it?

It genuinely feels like they wait for sellers to refund buyers themselves so they don’t have to take responsibility.

After 5 years selling here, I’m sick of it. Seller support is terrible when something actually goes wrong.

I’m moving back to eBay and Depop.

They don't compensate the seller when the buyer is clearly lying about the product being damaged. They don't allow you to sell kitchen utensils and brand new clothing with tags, that were never worn, they lock you out so you can't make a profit, for no reason. They don't answer you and resolve problems correctly. They are not very professional as far as keeping the customer happy and buying because of lockouts. Basically they hate America 🇺🇸
