I have been a vicks vaporub user for 40 years. I have cringed every time they raise their prices for a for a $1.00 VALUE tub of the stuff.

I recently went to purchase some more and found the current price is ridiculous... and on top of that, they are selling some products under FALSE pretenses.
$
The (newer) product has LESS net weight, costs $4.00 MORE, and has exactly the SAME formulation and ingredients as the older customary product.
$
I found this out by talking to a pharmacist who told me don't waste my money for the more expensive product - "there is no difference between them!".
$
That validated my own evaluation I did before going to the pharmacist - thinking I "must" be missing something. (I wasn't.)
$
I despise bad "actors" yet unfortunately this current world is overflowing with them in all avenues of business. It is purely sickening.
$
As such vicks has lost my patronage forever. I will not support a company that purposely or knowingly lies for the sake of money. No 2nd chances. Who knows how many other of their products are falsified in one or more ways these days?
$
I was so mad I bought 2 of another companys' product... and saved almost $6 under the price for 1 of the customary vicks product.

SHAMEFUL TO CONTINUE TO SELL AND MARKET TO CHILDREN KNOWING THE ISSUES IT CAUSES.
Vicks VapoRub is nothing but a dangerous and toxic product, still being sold that has caused severe breathing problems in child.
It contains camphor, menthol, and eucalyptus, which are proven to all be harmful when absorbed or inhaled in high concentrations, especially for children. Yet this product is aggressively marketed to parents for use on sick kids and even babies, despite the well-documented risks of respiratory distress.

Let’s be clear: this is not a safe remedy, it’s a threat. The company hides behind nostalgia while ignoring decades of warnings, including European health alerts dating back to the early '90s. Add to that the fact that Procter & Gamble continues to test on animals, with ferret studies showing clear airway damage, and you have a product that is not only unethical but downright reckless.

There’s no excuse for selling a product with such known dangers. Vicks VapoRub MUST BE removed from shelves an not in anyone’s home, and certainly nowhere near a child.
