Terrible landlords

Terrible landlords, not recommended. They typically take weeks to respond to emails about broken items—and there are many of them. I had to live with a broken window for 6 months, which was already damaged when I moved into the room. The heating was also broken and never fixed. There was also no cold water for parts of the day for a very long time—over 3 months. Overall, just a filthy building: Duivendrechtse Kade 42.

The final interspection went really goof

The rental process went realy smooth. And especially the final inspection of the apartment with Brigitte. We had a good contact together, the hand over of the keys went really smooth. She was really nice and friendly.

Final Inspection Arnhem

Final inspection with Brigitte. She was early so we could start sooner, so that was nice but we had some minor issues and misunderstandings but where solved eventually but nothing too bad, all was okay in the end.

We rented an apartment from this…

We rented an apartment from this company. The rental process was quick. Brigitte showed us the apartments. She is a very kind person. We had no problems with our apartment during our stay. Any issues in the building were also resolved quickly. I recommend them.

I had a very positive experience with…

I had a very positive experience with Brigitti during the time I rented my home. The communication was always clear, professional, and friendly. Whenever there was something to discuss or check, they handled it quickly and respectfully.

During the final inspection, everything was handled in a very fair and professional way, which I really appreciated. Overall, I felt well supported as a tenant throughout the whole rental period.

Thank you for the good service. I would definitely recommend them to others.

Don't walk, RUN!

I have been living in their Leiden location for around 6 months. Let me list a couple things that went wrong in that time frame:
The communication to get the contract was slow and stressful, they expected me to respond within 24 hours yet they did not respond for days at a time
Had to pay 250 euros in cash in additon to the deposit for unknown reasons (they claim they are only following instructions of the owner)
Cockroach infestation
Bedbug infestation (in some rooms they are in the walls)
Mice (due to one of the doors being broken our trash was not taken giving them plenty of food)
The heating keeps breaking down (no heating nor hot water), sometimes it doesn't get fixed for days
The doors keep getting broken (currently it hasn't been fixed for almost a month despite emails and more than one employee of VDH, such as our house keeper reporting the problem themselves)
They seem apologetic in their responses here however, it is just a facade.

Day 7 still no heating no hot water.
Two days ago contacting office people they promised to send someone. So someone came removed pipes left without fixing a problem and full floor of water, yesterday contacted again manager Vlad promised that today will definitely will come to fix another handyman no one showed up. Yesterday already wasn't answering phone calls today not even replaying to emails.

Complete scam company

Complete scam company. Prepare yourself for cockroaches, bed bugs, no warm water or any basic hygiene whatsoever. If you experience any problems in your room, VDH will not help you and matter of fact blame it on you. They are only after desperate student’s money and blatanly taking advantage of the housing crisis. Also known for not returning deposits. In conclusion, save your money and mental health and skip any housing by VDH!

Rental agreement Breda 20.02.2026

Today I signed my rental agreement together with the broker, Brigitte, and everything went perfectly. The entire process was smooth and well-organized, and I am very satisfied with how everything was handled.

Through multiple viewings, I was able to find suitable accommodation, and Brigitte personally supported me throughout the process by helping schedule several viewings in different buildings and offering multiple opportunities.

I am very happy with the outcome and truly grateful to have finally found an apartment for myself. Thank you for all the support and professionalism during this process.
